I like Kimbo and can't stand shamrock...but Kimbos strength is striking but shamrock isnt afraid to get hit and has pretty good hands too.....he would have traded strikes with Kimbo till he saw an opening and took advantage of Kimbo's inexpeirence....yeah shamrock is old but he has the wrestling and submissions not to mention the expeirence.....Kimbo's only chance would have been to catch shamrock with a good strike and take him out....

@thegliphic ken hasnt won as many fights over the last few years but honestly i still think he could beat kimbo. for one ken wouldnt strike with him and two kimbo is no grappler so that would leave him a sitting duck if he couldnt defend the takedown which is where it would most likely end up and lets face it..kimbo didnt look very promising againsed light heavyweight seth when he was ko'd in 14 seconds nor light heavyweight alexander houston and now he was ko'd again by matt mitrion.

Really you think he can beat kimbo? wow I seriously doubt it . Ken shamrock isn t much of a grappler either though. to tell you the truth shamrock isn t really strong in any aspect of mma. Kimbo can at least strike decently. he beat houston alexander though.
I think both of them are pretty bad but shamrock is awful. I gerantee kimbo isn t affraid of anybody especially old crusty shamrock.

@thegliphic yeah im not overy enthused about the ability of either one of them either but not beign much of a grappler is still better than having no grappling at all(as kimbo lol). sure kimbo is a decent striker but he isnt a complete striker either and there are lots of holes in his striking game. houston alexander is a light heavyweight anyway so it wasnt so shocking kimbo beat him. shamrock isnt great but he isnt awfull either, he's just behind in the sport and hasnt evolved with it.

@MegaMma4life you may have misread what i wrote or maybe i didnt word myself correctly. i never emplied ken wasnt a good grappler, i think he could beat kimo although he's 46 but there are a few holes in kens ground game. kens an outstanding leg locker but he lacks in other submissions and never took jiu jitsu seriously enough, he was always content to just be a shootfighter and kens striking isnt great either..its just ok. overall kens not bad so dont take it i meant that.

@grandchancelor kimbo is a bimbo. FACT: watch "kimbo fights Sean Gannon" on youtube & WATCH bimbo get his little butt beat down many times . He even started to wrestle with Gannon, but was no match there either. I think kimbo the bimbo lost 10K that fight. + bimbo showed the commentator after Seth beat his little butt no respect (ie didn't even answer the commentator's questions) Plus Holyfield knocked bimbo's butt out in boxing so, he didn't empress anybody in real boxing either.

Ken is too old now and has no business in the sport. I agree Ken was wrecking machine in his early days. But age caught up with not only him but other fighters his age. Even mark Coleman can no longer compete in the UFC. I think Coleman today would still be able to beat Ken. Randy couture is the only fighter left from that age group.
