  • very nice idea!

  • Nice stuff! But why do you play the bass drum with your left leg? Any particular reason for doing so?

  • Hiya,

Thanks for the compliment and for subscribing to my videos!

I was self taught originally and learnt right handed on a left handed kit. Over the years I've experimented with different kit set ups but my left foot has always been my main bass drum foot. If it isn't broken then don't fix it I guess.

    More videos to come soon.

  • @DrumsTheWord,mostly youtube taught, i also started left handed set up,went to right for few actual lessons and stuck with it for almost a yr,but have switched back..maybe good to learn both??..at this point im trying to build speed w the foot esp in fills where its KKrlrlKKrl etc tough to get that smooth sounding for me...practice prActice....i like your video here. i will peep others. peace1

  • @sunchimedia Hey man, yeah it's good to learn both ways round but best to master one way first before trying to mix up up your leading hand too much. Thanks for the drum love and for appreciating what I do. Happy drumming to you, mate! Rob

  • @Drum,yeah,my lead hand stays the same, just switch up the feet. left hand always on hi hat, right on snare. i see what youre saying tho abt mastering 1 way 1st,makes sense.also max ansalone- 'dimsunk' on youtube -said in his video to try n practice just a couple things each session and master that exercise before moving on. check out his channel, hes an awesome drummer. he used to tour with kid koala. thx for the response.

    peace1

  • haha how you going man! obviously not many comments, i just reckon change the bass drum . . . the pew is annoying :P

  • Hey James,

    Pew? What's the pew?

    Cheers for your interest!

  • I think hes saying that the bass drum sounds like a pew sound. I think its fine though I don't know what a good bass drum sounds like. Also, I have a random question about electric drum sets. (Im thinking about switching to one) What happens if you need more cymbals like a china cymbal? is there extra cymbal plugins with extra programmed cymbal sounds or what?

  • Yeah, most electric drum kits come with at least an extra two slots for cymbals or drums. Any decent kit has a whole plethora of cymbal sounds as well such as China's.
