  • BRAVO RICARDITO WAKEMAN !!!

  • Such talent

  • 3 people have no ear for MUSIC.

  • A gift from God.

  • I've been wondering, is there a name for the sounds (timbres) used at the melodic line from 2:45 - 5:37? Anyway they sound wicked nice. Wakeman makes quite good choices in the matter of timbres. The nasalized synth and the keystroke piano, i'd call them.

  • Is the drummer Tony Fernandez?

  • @EragonFiresword

    Yes, he is

  • Ashley Holt, not "asleigh howe"

  • do cacet esse video do rick

  • É impressionante o que o cerebro humano é capaz de fazer.....

    o//

  • Thanx. It's so different... I'd never think Rick would go with such extanded drum solo... Beautiful.

  • Simply the best! Thanks a lot for the video!

  • @GandaMelgao its on DVD but then in much better quality

  • I like this video because one can see Wakeman's hands at work. I love his musical composition because it seems to capture the wildly erratic nature of Henry and Anne's relationship. Wakeman has created in music that which cannot be written in words. I agree with poster halfing85, however. The drum solo is extraneous, and only added as a concession to appease the English Rock Ensemble in this live performance.

  • Been a joy falling this man though my life.... one of the best!!!

  • @halfing85 I bet you're a Neil Peart fan :-D

  • @farnishk Neil is fine, great drummer but a wee bit shy. I was at the concert in Rio that became the "Rush In Rio" DVD. His drum solo is boring too. Endless solos are always boring and by combining them with embarassing tones Mr. Wakeman became king of the equation.

    cheers!

  • @halfing85 Fair enough, at least you're consistent in hating long solos. Rick's a really funny guy, though - not at all po-faced and prog.

  • Ashley Holt, not "howe". He is also the guy who shared vocals with Gary Pickford Hopkins on the albums "Journey To The Centre Of The Earth" and "Myths & Legends Of King Arthur"

  • is the band named anne boleyn or is it that the song is named after queen anne boleyn

  • the song is named after the queen... it is from Rick Wakeman's album Six Wives of Henry XIII

  • @Theladyallison This is Rick Wakeman, and his band, and the song is entitled, "Anne Boleyn", from Wakeman's first solo album, "The Six Wives Of King Henry VIII".

  • who is the drummer? fucking awesome!

  • At around 4:40 he even waves with 3 fingers while playing 2 notes. Awesome!

  • Bravo! Performances are impeccable and camera work gives extended views of the artists at work.

  • Fantastico. The best. There's not one second this song doesn't rock. Great drum solo.

  • This really is an awesome piece of music !!

  • Better than the origanal! Wakeman Power!

  • His head is straight now...........

Long rule Grompy old men...like us!!

  • Tony Fernandez gets in the zone in this performance

  • 5:36 Wow!

  • Can't be a human being...

  • This is hard to say, but I think this version is even better than the original! xD I didn't think that was possible.

  • Goose bumps

  • "Your the most faithful wife Anne"

  • I believe that what uprioromnie refers to here are the last words of an archived letter that Anne wrote to her husband, the king, as she sat imprisoned in the Tower of London, awaiting her execution. She signed her letter, "Your most faithful wife, Anne". If Henry had thought Anne the most faithful of wives, he wouldn't have had her beheaded for her alleged infidelities, now would he?

  • He said: Hey y'all at 04:39

    LMAOF

    :)

  • I love all this

  • only a word..."unbelivable"

  • holy shit! but i think the original version is better than this!

  • He´s a true musician

  • Just look at his fingers!! It's just unbelievable!! How can he play like that???

  • Rick wakeman he play great music!!!!

  • This is S U P E R B! Never heard such a music before.

  • he is a legend of the early 70th :)

  • In Simple words:

    Just Born to do it.

    Awesome.

  • i would agree with that odaemonas

    he's a genius.

  • His performance transmits .. reflects such a.. metaphysical experience !

  • I love Rick Wakeman...he is a genius. I could listen to this non-stop.

  • This is truly brilliant. The drums solo is also outstanding. Can you tell me from which DVD it's from? I wish I could buy it.

  • oh my god ... what a music ... what a feeling !!! thanks RICK

  • This is a great video!

  • wonderful. Rick is just the best. A true keyboard wizard.

  • About the only "keyboardist" who comes close would Keith Emerson (ELP). Different styles yes, but they have a certain way with the boards.

  • Oh, I think they have a bit different 'ways with the boards', bro... To me, it's Rick, the King and Keith the Butcher :) You have to love them both. To me, Rick was a bit more creative but b/c of the way he plays, Emerson picked interest of the whole generation in classical music. Cheers to all fans.

  • The bass solo at 8:50 is super-awesome.

  • Has this been released on a CD?

  • It has: Rick Wakeman: The Six Wives of Henry VIII, released in 1973.

  • Hey there! Thanks, but I'm really looking for the live performance we're watching right now. Anyone?

  • It´s from the DVD "Rick Wakeman - The Ultimate Anthology". Great DVD of a great musician with lots of great music, by the way. He´s absolutely amazing!

  • ¡Espectacular! ¡Maravilloso!

  • AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Who's drumming?

  • Tony Fernandez. He did a good solo on this one.

  • The whole thing is amazing... Shame there is this stupid 10 minute limit.

It's the best version of this beautiful tune I've ever heard! Rick, the King of All Britain!

  • I just LOVE his trademark arpeggios...He is a FANTASTIC musician.Jesus I wish I had his speed.

  • What pure genius is this bass player called David Paton!

    Go Davie!

  • Great drumming,too

  • Which DVD is this on?

  • amazing job...

    Wakeman rule..

  • One of the finest versions of this classic, if not the finest.

  • I have this dvd..great

  • which DVD is this on? as i have been looking for it for ages.

    Thanks
