  • @offthewallstudio Hi, thanks for watching. Thats a great addition. As Andrew mentioned in the video it's one of the fastest outboard compressors out there which means it's great for adding punch and a more aggressive character to your sounds.

  • haha endway. i used to chill with those dudes way back in the day. there from boston

  • @offthewallstudio Thats awesome. Thanks for watching!

  • Good tip. I used this and it does work.

  • @mickmon Hi, thanks for the feedback. We'll keep that in mind for future videos. It's a great tip though, give a try. It really helps add punch and presence to your vocal recordings.

  • what about the make up gain after bringing down the threshold?....how much to increase by?

  • Hi @bangbangboogybaby thanks for your question. The make up gain you can be increased to taste, depending on your mix.

  • @WinkSound thank you, it's been something minor thats been racking my brain. 1 of the teachers at my audio engineering school always says "boost your make up gain up to as much as you attenuated by with the threshold" i never thought to ask him what happens if you boost more, thank you though

  • @bangbangboogybaby Glad we could help out. Let us know if there are any topics you'd like to see covered.

  • Thanks for the question, 2:1 is a perfect ratio for the technique displayed. Let us know if this helps!

  • Gr8 tip and how low of ratio like 1:9 or 2:1 or something

  • Hi @hintonkelvin thanks for your question. 2:1 is a good ration for this technique. You can view the setting around the 1:00 mark.

  • Good tip :]
