  • If you have ever doubted how compact the ls series engines are...

  • now twin turbo that bitch

  • Now it's on VTEC ALL the time, times 8

  • that is one angry s2k~

  • where are all the honda haters out there? talking shit about this and that? fucking faggots

  • But does it VTEC?

  • great setup, if only more cars came with v8's from factory that where not corvettes... it seems that v8 swaps fix all the problems that s2000 have as well as the miata, rx7, rx8,g35, and 240...

  • Hey he solved the low torque problem

  • can someone swap an rs4 4.2L v8 so the rev can come at least close to the stock 9000 rpm red line?

  • @tokay444

That Audi engine is expensive as hell

  • @2jzgtejza80 hahaha realy? is it rofl

  • @cj94zj92sc

    rofl what?? O.o

  • not thats a real powerful car right there!!! two great things put together

  • Sounds good, must have much more power but u should of left it with the VTEC and put on a invidia exhaust, because now it will suck up petrol way more than the 4 cylinder stock engine!

  • @2rk4lyf wtf? how do you make that connection - the ls1 gear ratios would make crusising rpms much lower and the stock vette which weighs a couple hundred more pounds than this car get better mileage than the stock s2000- it's only thirsty if you push it like any car.

  • you can here it drink

  • im curious how this handles. all that v8 weight an all

  • @SuperFlyBonsai aluminium V8's can weight even less than steel 4 banger's

  • @Roadzery 100 kilo more

  • @Roadzery

Yes, older one 4 cylinders, and newer diesel engines are really heavy compared to bigger one.

Engines are not made of steel, they are made of lighter cast iron, internals can be from steel and cast iron.

But 4-banger aluminum engines are always lighter than 99% V8's.

  • @2jzgtejza80 pesky english always gets in my way, all i trued to say is non almuinium metal material used for 4 cyl engines.

  • @Roadzery

English is my 3rd language, so, sorry on my bad english.

Many 4-bangers today are made of aluminium alloys. Only diesels using because of high boosts and high compressions.

  • @2jzgtejza80 lal 3rd aswell :D anyways, you got my point right?

  • @Roadzery

    yes, I understand you u

  • y put an american heart in a import rib cage.....respect the nice work tho.....

  • listen to the cam in that thing...what a beast

  • i respect the work in this car, but god damn everyone swaps a fucking ls series in their car.

  • @NissanTy That's because American makers still sell crate engines whereas most others don't.

  • s2k + vtec = fast, s2k + LS2 = dam it's so fast, mommy i want one...

  • so i guess he can now call it an LS2000

  • @drummer2285 or S6000 LOL

  • haha but you'd never see a F20C of F22C in a Camaro.

  • what I hear and what I see dont make sence, you have just blown my mind!

  • gay

  • i would shit myself if i pulled up next to this beast! well done in taking a great stock sports car and really giving it some balls. LS1/LS2/LS6 swaps are some of the smartest swaps you can do for many smaller RWD sports cars. that isn't to say Honda, Mazda, Nissan, Toyota, BMW, or Mercedes Benz don't make great engines, they totally do! but the sound and out of the box power a 5.0L-6.3L small-block V8 makes can't be beat!

  • An LSX motor in pretty much anything makes it Bad Ass

  • i think the f20c and the f22c work just fine

  • @GOMBPRODUXIONS second! im just gonna boost the hell out of my F22c, but that ls does sound dope you must admit

  • @charlietow yeah lol

  • the whole shitty arguement about this being a bad swap is ridiculous. do your research and then come back. otherwise, shut the fuck up.

    too much torque? stickier tires!

too much power for chassis? stitch up that unibody!

he's obviously modding the car, so these "stock" based arguements are null

  • was it difficult to fit in there? or did u just have to make custom mounts?

  • badass. thumbs up

  • that is sweet!!! I want one. I have a question, why use a ls2 as compare to a ls3 or ls1?

  • Haha this guy said fuck VTEC, I got pushrods!!

  • I have a v10 from the srt10 ram, and would like to know if the people that did your swap could do mine. And how much did it cost you to do the swap.

  • @Kdot0084 despite that engine outperforming all of japans engines, stock for stock

  • @Kdot0084 hahahah is that what you think? this is how honda should have made the car, now it is actually fun to drive instead of being a torqueless turd that you have to rev to 9k to get any sort of usable power out of. I bet you it even gets better fuel economy now and do you really prefer the sound of a 4 cylinder to a v8? If you hate american cars so much why dont you go live in japan with all the fucking weirdo's.

  • v8s2000

  • fuckin sick

  • what motor is in there? corvette?

  • dude it already said the motor on the name of the video..

  • I love this idea but this would ruin the handling. Probably, unless wanted a drag car, u would be better or putting a turbo, intercooler, cold air intake and 2.5inch exhaust on a vtec the lighten up the front end with carbon fibre bonnet and bumper + maybe caronfibre quater pannels if u had the cash.

  • @vp4d

first it doesnt screw up the handling it weighs less now than with the turbo set up in S2000 and you dont save any weight by doing carbon fiber bonnet the S2000 has a aluminum bonnet stock at like 17 lbs. and you cant change quarter panels only fenders now go to MIT and learn something about cars

  • @dragotink

How this swap LS2 can be lighter than stock S2000? explain me, because, my friend and me tested weight of F20C with g-box and all turbo-supercharged parts together. F20C full dressed is 327Ibs with g-box high 300 (actually 389Ibs) and all parts together are still not even close to 450 Ibs LS2 without g-box.

  • @2jzgtejza80

Well in my V8 swapped S2000 (Jason's Honda S2000 V8) I deleted the A/C and power steering pump off the LS because its a convertable and I used the Honda electronic power steering and the Ford 8.8 IRS is lighter than the stock Honda diff., I also moved the battery to the trunk other than that its all the same and mine weighed in at the track at 2760 which is only 44 lbs. heavier than my buddies stock S2000.

  • @dragotink

Ok, but i counted more than 100 Ibs, my bad, but it's more simple put Carbonetic Carbon LSD Diff for 1500$ and add centrifugal supercharger 1000$ on stock F20c and get 400hp, weight even better than stock s2000 with all stock parts except this.

  • @2jzgtejza80

True you could but then you still just have a FI S2000 like everyone else. And if you can get a S/C for $1000 you need to buy all of them and start selling them most S/C kits go for $3500 (intercooler, piping, injectors, pully, ect...) To each his own, Thats why I still have my MY03 S2000 as a daily driver :) now I have 1 of five LS powered S2000 in the world thats more rare than a Ferrari GTO250 they made 36 of those.

  • @dragotink

You are right, but i not prefer changing the engine. Every car in the world coming with own stock engine, and there's no better swap over stock, except if it's not build by real tuning company. V8 is not constructed for light Honda S2000 specially not huge 6.0 liter engine which produce lot's of torque, means very bad traction. That you replaced with the NSX V6 then it would be great. Have a nice day.

  • @2jzgtejza80 so youre saying to leave cars completely stock? cause thats what it sounds like. "too much torque is bad for traction. drive 90hp cars" is what you sound like. shut up.

  • @hobotechMASTER

No, I'm saying, that modding the same engine also can gain more power and torque. ''drive 90hp cars'' are u really stupid or just stupid: S2000 have 240bhp stock and with jackson supercharger easily going to 350 or even more. If you wanna drive LS2 put it in american car. End of story.

  • @2jzgtejza80 I' am with you in this one, keep that LS2 in a American Car, this a disgrace for the American Cars. Im not a Import car hater but come on, sell that import and buy a real muscle car and put that sweet LS2 in it. trust me, people will give you more thumbs up if your are driving a late 60 to early 70 muscle car then this honda for sure. :)

  • @djchino

Yes, Honda with american engine sounds gay, like american car with Supra or Skyline engine sounds gay.

S2000 construction is not made for high torque. That engine would totally destroy perfectly balanced car dynamic. And fuel economy is worst than with stock engine, no matter how slower is.

  • @2jzgtejza80

I disagree. Keep it weird! Why do people get all these rx7s, miatas, gremlins, pintos, or anything else small and shove the biggest motor in them that they can? 'cause it's fun! How is this ANY DIFFERENT? The reason you don't want an american muscle car is because they are BIG AND HEAVY. It's the best feeling in the world when someone asks you "Why did you do that?", and you answer "To make people like you ask stupid questions." It's not stupid if it's fast!

  • @speed284504

People doing different things all over the world, mostly stupid, because the human stupidity are bigger than their mind.

  • @2jzgtejza80

the fuel economy with the LS2 is gonna be better than the under powered stock 4 cylinder.

LS2 Corvettes with 6 speeds get high 20's easily , and the Vette is heavier. the S2k will prob get better than 30mpg highway with the LS motor.

I've personally seen a 860rwhp 6 speed LS powered Corvette get 22mpg cruising on the highway.

  • @suchauselesssn

No my buddy, LS2 can't do 50% better MPG in what 800Ibs lighter car??? No, You can get 28 MPG- 30. I said before in my post, my uncle driving S2000 and he gets about 32-33 MPG at 6-speed crusing 55-60mph. After 70mph fuel cons is very bad, usually less than 25mpg.

  • @djchino

All I want to say, if americans can't construct such a nice car like S2000, they shouldn't put LS in every fucking car. I can buy a Volvo truck engine with 900CUI and put it in my car, but what I got?? Pure shit, my buddy, pure shit.

  • @djchino

so people should base what cars they build and drive based on the response random people they drive by will have?

have you ever driven an S2k? they are fun to drive, comfortable, and overall well built cars. they lack TQ and power, which is where the LS comes in.

what GM car can you build that will handle as good, and have the build quality of the S2K? not everyone wants a Corvette.

  • @vp4d yeah but if you put a T56 out of a vette and get a custom built torque tube, you'd probably have a pretty good balance

  • @charlietow

Believe me it's much simple modify stock engine to 350 or 400 bhp than doing swap, that cost more, cost time, money and finally results are same or even worst.

Moded F20C have better conduct at race track than LS2 moded or not.

  • lame.

  • Always thought the S2000 looked way to good to have such a weak power plant. Guess you sure fixed that! Great job. Sounds killer.

  • I don't care who you are thats cool as shit but unbelievably strange. Would suprise the shit out of alot of people. No doubt about it!

  • @SonjaTezzar Couldn't agree more with you. Surprised me too!

  • I would like to see the faces of some muscle cars owners faces when this car rolls next to them......lol

  • They'll probably think 'wow, finally a Honda worth racing!'.

  • HAHAHAHAHA thats true haha Hondas only race hondas otherwise their whoooped

  • That may be where u live cuz everywhere we go Hondas race anybody including V8's and most likely we beat'e,em...

  • The only real downside I see here is its probably gonna throw off the weight balance, which was perfect before because of how elongated the front end of this car is (theres a huge space in the front with nothing there LOL). Other than that, yeah, the LSX motor makes everything better.

  • umm dude last i checked the ls2 was a chevy engine so i dont know what you mean by "its still got vtec" - all i see hear is a gorgeous car witha killer angine.

  • the ls2 pushes around 400 hp at 6000rpm and about 400 ft. lbs. torque at 4400rpm.

so for you "red83944" maybe research before you say a vtec with 150ft.lbs. is more than a v8 could ever make.

  • I think he was being sarcastic.

  • lol you guys and vtec... unbelievable, you think a little muscle can't push out 150 torque?... yeah right and how much do you think it pushes out? lol like 90? highly doubt it is anywhere that low, this engine probably pushes above 150 easy.

  • WOW this is some Frankenstein man!

gotta admit its pretty dawm amazing>>>>>>>>>

  • megatron it wont have the great cornering speed it had with the f20c/f22c engine it once had. Thats the only downfall of changing the engine in an s2000. I still think a 2JZ would of been a better swap.

  • no way. the 2JZ has an iron block and is much heavier than the aluminum LS2 V8. Then you have all the turbo plumbing and tubo lag, which would make the car even harder to drive in the turns. Plus, with a longer I6 engine like the 2JZ, more weight is going to be in front of the front axle, which would cause worse handling.

  • @mikey631 All u said is true but having a @J in there would be fun as hell

  • @mikey631 thats why supra guys do crazy fast highway racing, where there are no turns and the LS guys are left in the wake of there 2JZ boost

  • it still got Vtec; is call nostec

  • screww v tec

  • yea should have kept it v tec that blistering 150 ft lbs of torque is way more than any v 8 could ever make

  • muscle engineon honda? bad go. Should've kept it as a VTEC

  • please tell me that you are fucking kidding. Do you SERIOUSLY think that a honda vtec motor can beat out a fully built V8? Because it doesn't have a prayer in the end and all you guys know it. You just don't want to admit it.

  • awsomeeeeee... i wonder if it will still corner good cause if it does i wanna build one :)

  • Too bad its balance is all thrown off now...

  • Shouldn't be off bad or at all. Considering the LS motor is aluminum I believe it'll be fine. It can still do what it does with torque now. lol; I can tell you an S2K with a 2JZ swap is pretty heavy. Nice but heavy.

  • The added weight is behind the shock towers. A proper suspension setup should take care of the added weight easily.

  • The S2000 is a mid engine car and that motor looks well behind the shock towers.

I would be very suprise if it even upset the balance. And mid engine is in relation to the axles not the driver, before some one says it's not mid engine.

  • i knew somebody would do it, ls1s in miatas y not s2ks rite?

  • Check out v8s2000 website

  • Muscle!!!!
