In a Nutshell: You hold A or D for 2 minutes so you can spawn-camp.

Two thinks, what I hate Surf Maps:

1. Jail.

2. Doorways, what can teleport to home/enemy spawn.

Why Surf Maps always have those thinks?

As a punishment/reward for surfing. Jails are for the people who can't surf, and the teleporters are generally in areas you have to surf somewhat well to get to. Mind you, there are some pathetic maps sometimes that you can get to them from even if you are terrible at surfing, but most of those ports and other goodies like buttons are near or at the end of the ramps.

@ProtoPanic Actually, that's CS:S surf maps. It doesn't take a moron to see why this is a completely broken mechanic in TF2 - Like this video shows, sentries. A good designed TF2 surf map isn't just a port of a CS:S surf map - Sure the basic framework is good to copy, but you do need to make slight changes, such as a no build zone anywhere in sentry range of the spawns, which would fix my problem with TF2 surfing entirely, and move it closer to CS:S surfing.

If you guys want a good surf server go to LOW LAG FRAG where they have a 5 second spawn protection unlike all the others.

it would have been helpful if you said on wich server you mad the reply. VDL servers have spawn protection. the only server i know with excessive spawn raping is omega arcade.

Spawn protection, sentries only work with wrangler, has certain limits as to where you can build.
