@jmuzz31 well i cant explain things very well but an hd pvr is a video recorder which enables you to record whats showing on the tv, yes you do need a computer beside a tv to record whats happening on the tv and your computer doesnt need av input, the recorder has a usb on one end and av cables on the other end, search hd pvr so you can find out more, hope this helps =D
