@415getActive Whatever VSTi you use, make sure you load a single instance of whatever kick sample you wanna use. Then chromatically spread the sample over the whole keyboard. Thats all you do!

@415getActive What DAW do you use? Is super easy in Ableton with the Simpler instrument. You load a sample into the simpler and it automatically spreads the sample out for you. Check out some videos of the simpler in Ableton, and if you let me know what DAW you use I can let you know.

@415getActive You dont "make" beats in pro-tools, you make beats in Fruity Loops, Reason, Ableton, VST's and etc. If you are making beats in Pro-tools, you may need to come up with another solution. As far as the pitch bend on your 808's, use the "RBass" plugin

ur a terrible editor, ur cuts are unclean and un even music is a very even art and works in whole numbers , u shouldnt edit the audio in slip mode with grid u can easily select 8 4 12 whatever bars evenly to create a cleaner workspace, no real engninee uses the transport in the edit window to play, stop, zoom, a real engineer uses all the quik keys i barely touch the mouse......... and the song is terible

I don't know what you use to make beats, but you should try just tracking 8 16 or 24 from the jump, and just copy and paste those loops to sequence it. Much faster. Trust me. Unless you are making it in song mode on your harware. Then just delete the sound accordingly from the pasted loops. Just try it, You will save alot of time. Sound like you got some heat on the tracks!

Pro tools LE With an M Box only allows 32 mono tracks i believe.... You have to bus tracks by bouncing them to the bus. Make some tracks inactive, selct what you wanna bounce.creat an auxillary bus where you send those tracks to..goto bounce. bounce what you have audible to that bus you created..then make whatever you bounced inactive and activate those tracks again from the beggining.

Fire Tutorial Bro! Fire beat too.. I always run into one problem when I track my beats out in Pro Tools. When I track out my loops that I made using my MV-8000 and and the motif 6 I always have a blank piece of audio in the very beginning of my loops. So, when I try to copy and paste all the loops it doesnt sync right because of that little peice of blank audio in the beginning. You think you can help me with this?

is your protools in Grid mode. (makes your regions magnetic.. u know snap to grid mode. I think your shit is in slip mode..._ shuffle mode sucks... And spot is for spotting. lol)

The problem you are talking about is latency. This comes from your computer having to send a midi message to you devices then you device obviously having to send audio back. Try to calculate how much of a delay it is (ms) and you can set ProTools to compensate for it. Its a hassle but it works. iF is possible try syncing up with SMPTE. Or making you MV the master.

U can but its gonna be extremely difficult ... Protools, should only be used as the controller/sequencer for your beats ... U cant make beats from protools ... U have to make beats somewhere else (Fruitloops, reason, keyboards) and then record to them in Protools

Create a click track first... Create a Stereo instrument track next... Select which RTAS instrument plug-in you have (if any)... Set tempo... Then unleash your talent... I have been recording on all sorts of software applications and Pro Tools is by far the easiest... Logic is up there also... Reason is okay but I'd prefer not to use it...

Well, I feel like you have a better control of the beat, by chopping it individually ! Instead of muting the whole loop, you could pick a piece and make it drop ! Once it's muted while being recorded, there's no getting that back.. Thats why I run every sound all the way through, and then pick it ! It takes a lil longer, but its nothing less than perfect.
