the real danger is inside the buildings and off the roads where radiation is trapped inside of buildings and saturates the soil. but on pavement the risk is considerably low. as for going TO the plant itself, no way in hell i'd go inside... but with the right gear i'd be willing to get a much closer shot of the sarcophagus. check out Gamma Girls website, she has a ton of pics in the area. show goes on motorcycle with no protective wear and a meter. neat site

yeah...but it is dangerous...after like 10 years, you could get cancer from it...plus, the buildings don't hold any more 'radiation bombs', because the doors have been left open, and windows broken, so that the trapped radiation can escape

Check out videos from Carl Montgomery, lot's of visitors are standing directly in front of the building. I hear that if you stand there just a few minutes you should be OK.
