I am brazilian and always play on brazilian server ADA. I noticed that in one of the servers its very easy to do a headshot, but in another of the same ADA is not. Both are hardcore. I talked to the admin, but she didn't know anything about. This could really happen? Why?

dont care what anyone says , i had these 2 sentences in my settings at 0.100000 cause my ping used to be round 100, couple of weeks ago my hitbox went bad and i couldnt seem to hit anyone anymore i had a kdr of 0.4 or 0.5 if i was lucky so i emptied my hitbox including the sentences , i was getting owned by rank 3 people.

so i went to find a fix and found this video with the same sentences, and put them back at 0.115000 and 115 and by god first game i was back 27 k - 10 d

u do the math.

go to documents-> bfbc2-> settings.ini an add the these 2 sentences at the bottom :

SettingsManager.floatSet GSDefaultLatencyCompensation 0.1150000

SettingsManager.U32Set GSInterpolationTime 115

change the 0.1150000 and the 115 unther it in your average ingame ping level like 140 or maby even lower then 115 and then SAVE !!! dont forget

also do this while g..

I've had horrendous problems with this bullshit tonight. For instance, lining up 2 perfectly placed headshots with the sniper on a non moving target that plain miss, then panicking when he realises I'm there and letting off a shot 3 metres above his head ... to which he's pronounced dead. I play games for fun not to be fucked around in this way. How does this bullshit ever pass testing?

The lag isn't an issue. All the servers I can chose from range from 18-45ms ping in the browser. It's the hit registration that is completely broken, has nothing to do with lag. I join games and have to get 5-10 hit markers before I drop anyone using the M416. I watch others on my team and they should 8-10 rounds an drop people instantly where I have to use 20-30 rounds. It's annoying as hell. I remember when I started playing, this never happened but it's constantly happing every server I join.

Ive had numerous instances where i know for sure that the hitbox of a player is in a slightly different spot than where their body is where i will aim behind or ahead of them and hit them.

Im mainly talking about sniper rifles and shotguns.

Sometimes i will see glaring bs problems with the shotgun where an enemy would be in close range and either blood would just explode out of them or it would completely miss.

btw, the ping that shows ingame isnt the same as ping in other games. dont know how, but if u have 20 in ping in CS u could have like 80-90 in BC2 without and diffrence.

on thursday i fucking shot 2 times to moving target who was over 300 meters away from me and i hit him both times without doing any damage. one day ill hit a hole to my screen. i just want dice to fix these hitboxes so i can play. I also shot 20-30 times with light tanks machine gun and hitted 10 times or more and did damage twice without killing on HC. i just looove dice and ea. bf2 account's cd-key got stolen/hacked (and im not the only one) and now this... ffs..

@testament0221 You replace the numbers in the above lines with the number found on your server ping for whatever server you want to play in. Since you want it on par with the server ping, you should just choose the average of the servers you tend to play in.

The bullets obviously hit the character model. It's not actually doing anything though because the hitbox is lagging behind it. That's why he's having the other guy move, to prove this point.

there are the models and the hitbox, what you see is the model what you need to hit is the hitbox. I'm not sure but I thought the model depends on your ping, hitbox more on the ping of your enemy, but I am not really sure about this

@Denn1sVanes What's your ping like in-game? 100 is the default, so try something like 40 or 50 if you see the hitboxes lagging behind the enemies. I don't know that this works anymore after the last patch when they tried fixing things, but they're reverting whatever changes it is they made to the hitboxes with this next patch.

At the moment it's VOID, even if both servers had the same latency. The probably could be packet loss to one of the servers.

Redo the test, to the same server. If you get the same results, the video is epic.

So, what if my enemy stands still. And by that, totally still for ages and still after the shot (like enemy snipers do a lot). How is it possible that two sniper shots, handgun shots and 2 knifes didnt kill the enemy? That isn't even a case of latency, pings were <50 and fps 60.

@egobrane I was behind a guy trying to knife him about 3 or 4 times, before the guy finllay figured out what was going on id had wipped out my rifle and got him still I think it was bs this never happend before I tried this, I gotta say though this works great on servers with low ping I saw my score go way up after applying these settings. So I mean somethings messed up deff with the knifing, if you have any time can you please test it and see what you get?

@SolidMGSnake1 I had the same fucking problem. Except i attempted 6 times, he turned around and shot me in the face. it took me 60 rounds of an m24 at 20m to kill a guy that turned around and almost killed me in return after hitting him (or so i thought) with 40 rounds to begin with.

This new patch is horrible, the balances to guns are worse (aka people abuseing the broken AUG now) & now there is 10x more shotty wookies.

dont even get me started on the M95 Sniper Rifle. 108 shots 7 kills.

You can't set a "perfect" set of default settings for every1.

The Dev has to guess what millions of people will have for a connection and try to pick an average. For teh people wanting a bit more tunes experiance you can do this and be set. I did this for COD4, CS1.6, CSS, BF2, the list goes on. BTW, EA has little to do with the game. They are just the publisher. Dice is the Dev for the game.
