Sperm whale at Kaikoura, New Zealand

We got on a plane, because it was too choppy for boats, and circled over the whales. An awesome sight from the air, we saw 5 or 6, they are beautiful creatures...

Four whales and not one sodding dolphin - the wife was gutted! That said, it was yet another unbelieveable experience to add to the many from our honeymoon in NZ. I wear my Kaikoura Whale Watching t-shirt regularly as a reminder of a great time.

Its good, they always see them. Lots of seals to swim with also. I dive kaikoura lots and its a very healthy ecosystem at the moment.

Thanks for sharing this video clip! I was at New Zealand early this yr and missed this Whale watching because of the bad weather, foggy so the activity was cancelled,was rather disappointed. Lucky you to have seen it !
