I'll admit to saying I miss YouTube and being honest I watched you all those years ago because it was interesting listening to an American citizen talk about their day to day life. In 2010 all I know about the USA and Americans is from soaps, sport, celebs and what a News Editor tells me what I 'need' to know!

Thanks. And it took about 5 1/2 hours total. The first sitting was 3 1/2 hours, then I had to wait a month for it to heal before I got it finished. And I went back a 3rd time to get a spot fixed.
It hurt a LOT! But if I can spend over 22 hours in labor after 8 (a month early) months of pregnancy, then push out a watermelon. (I know... gross) who is now 19 years old, and 4.5 inches taller than me, then I can endure a few hours to get an awesome tattoo =D

Get real. How about you not take one scripture out of context. That scripture is only applicable in times of mourning. AND if you're going to use that one as your platform, then I guess you are counting the years for when you can eat certain fruits? And your meat is always fully cooked? And you never cut your hair? And you have a beard and only trim it as instructed? Look at the WHOLE passage. (cont)

Now look again at the one (out of context) passage you used. It says to not cut your bodies "for the dead" or put tattoo marks on yourselves. The entire sentence is related to when you're in a time of mourning. REGARDLESS, you have to do ALL of the other parts, if you're going to abide by that one. It's the Old Testament. Jesus died and rose again so we could live in freedom, no longer bound by these types of laws.
Oh. Not practicing "divination" goes without saying. You can find that one in the New Testament as well, in the parables of Jesus casting out demons of sorcery. The rest of it is gone.
Yahweh is saying do not practice any of these things. Many christians disregard gods old commandments eg. not following his dietry laws, participating in pagan festivals christmas and easter) these commandments are still valid today! You claim to believe in the whole bible but now you contradict yourself.

You say that you have researched related passages about marking the body which is great if you feel that there is nothing wrong with it. However, it does not stop there. Did you research what a tattoo is? Your tattoo is of a fairy, did you research what a fairy really is? Romans 12:2 I believe a person should be careful what they do with their body if is tattoo, or speech, make-up, or the way they dress. The things that a person does reflects who they are.
I got it for a steal. It was only $150. But since I had it done it 2 sittings, then went back for a minor correction, I think I tipped him another $50. Overall, it was less than $200. And I have no idea why it was so cheap. I was referred to the guy who did it, by a guy at my church. He had a big shoulder piece done and it cost him about $700.
Most of our worship team (which I'm on) has tattoos. And you can learn more about me/my user name by watching the video about it. I take my relationship with Christ very seriously. But I try to make life fun.
If you're still a minor, then obey your mom. I don't think I can fully answer in one comment, but in one scripture, when it says not to "mark your body" it's only talking about when you're in a time of mourning. It's saying not to get a tattoo in honor of a dead person, and/or when you're still mourning that person. The other scripture I've seen quoted, is taken out of context. It does say not to get a tattoo. But if you read the scripture above it says for women not to wear makeup or jewelry...

The bible also talks about a man not dressing in womens clothing and women not dressing in mens clothing. I suppose you want us to go back to wearing robes and dresses to our ankles? Thanks. Some people don't realize that I really don't care what they think. LOL! They need to read my channel description. And you're right about the scripture. They keep pulling out that one line and forgetting all the rest of it. If we use that one, we also can't cut our hair, and men have to wear beards but they can't trim it on the sides, etc., etc. It's in the Old Testament. It all changed when Jesus came. =)

Get real. How about you not take one scripture out of context. That scripture is only applicable in times of mourning. AND if you're going to use that one as your platform, then I guess you are counting the years for when you can eat certain fruits? And your meat is always fully cooked? And you never cut your hair? Now look again at the one (out of context) passage you used. It says to not cut your bodies "for the dead" or put tattoo marks on yourselves. The entire sentence is related to when you're in a time of mourning. REGARDLESS, you have to do ALL of the other parts, if you're going to abide by that one. It's the Old Testament. Jesus died and rose again so we could live in freedom, no longer bound by these types of laws.

Yahweh is saying do not practice any of these things. Many christians disregard gods old commandments eg. not following his dietry laws, participating in pagan festivals christmas and easter) these commandments are still valid today! You claim to believe in the whole bible but now you contradict yourself.

Well, some apply... IE the 10 Commandments ;-) But everyone keeps quoting the same scripture which would also mean no makeup, no pretty clothes, don't fix your hair, etc. It's just legalistic. I now ignore them. Life's good. LOL

I'm not going to look it up, but I already researched all related passages and none of them apply. One is only related to "marking your body" when you're in a "time of mourning" and the other is lumped together with not cutting your hair, not wearing makeup, not wearing jewelry, etc. They're all in the Old Testament and don't apply.

You say that you have researched related passages about marking the body which is great if you feel that there is nothing wrong with it. However, it does not stop there. Did you research what a tattoo is? Your tattoo is of a fairy, did you research what a fairy really is? Romans 12:2 I believe a person should be careful what they do with their body if is tattoo, or speech, make-up, or the way they dress. The things that a person does reflects who they are.

I got it for a steal. It was only $150. But since I had it done it 2 sittings, then went back for a minor correction, I think I tipped him another $50. Overall, it was less than $200. And I have no idea why it was so cheap. I was referred to the guy who did it, by a guy at my church. He had a big shoulder piece done and it cost him about $700.

If you're still a minor, then obey your mom. I don't think I can fully answer in one comment, but in one scripture, when it says not to "mark your body" it's only talking about when you're in a time of mourning. It's saying not to get a tattoo in honor of a dead person, and/or when you're still mourning that person. The other scripture I've seen quoted, is taken out of context. It does say not to get a tattoo. But if you read the scripture above it says for women not to wear makeup or jewelry...
