Fighter pilots are literally the best of the best...the requirements are meant to weed out everyone who can't hack it, because when you are in control of a $20 mil - $135 mil aircraft with national security implications, you have very little room for error. Fighter pilots are highly intelligent, aggressive, competitive, overahieving type-A personalities. You need that because you live or die in 2-3 minutes' worth of decisions @ 800 knts.

I wish I had an answer for you, but to be honest that is one I just don't know. What I can tell you is that if it is believed you have some or other psychological problem, and they think it's severe - what they would consider severe is beyond my knowledge - not only will they refuse your desire to be a fighter pilot, but they would also probably revoke your piloting licence. A guy I know was mildly depressed so it was decided to take away his licence "Just in case".

In these days, being a pilot isn't as prestigious as it once was. After being discharged, most pilots go on to commercial work. I know a lot of former navy/air force pilots who are currently out of work. Until world war occurs, I would rather pursue a more rewarding career where my skills will be more useful.

Fighter pilots are literally the best of the best...the requirements are meant to weed out everyone who can't hack it, because when you are in control of a $20 mil - $135 mil aircraft with national security implications, you have very little room for error. Fighter pilots are highly intelligent, aggressive, competitive, overahieving type-A personalities. You need that because you live or die in 2-3 minutes' worth of decisions @ 800 knts.

What I can tell you is that if it is believed you have some or other psychological problem, and they think it's severe - what they would consider severe is beyond my knowledge - not only will they refuse your desire to be a fighter pilot, but they would also probably revoke your piloting licence. A guy I know was mildly depressed so it was decided to take away his licence "Just in case".

@rpenri In a time of war with a fully industrialized and competent enemy, they are going to need a larger number of pilots, plus more to replace the inevitable casualties and losses. In these days, being a pilot isn't as prestigious as it once was. After being discharged, most pilots go on to commercial work. I know a lot of former navy/air force pilots who are currently out of work. Until world war occurs, I would rather pursue a more rewarding career where my skills will be more useful.

umm question, the air to ground missiles portrayed here seem that it does not detonate on impact but rather as soon as it hits the central internals of the target it detonates.
Am I right? If so then my guess is that these missiles are programmed while targeting to penetrate and then detonate within the center of the target.

I laugh when see a similar video..except you are unaware of military things,this is ALL but frightening. A B2( 2.170.000.000 ml dollars)with all its cargo can produce only this,absurd...a MLRS(ONE not a BATTERY!! [ 8 ]) can produce 3 or 4 times this power,on a larger area,AND EVERY 20-25 MINUTES!!! In all its weapon-live,probably,it is incapable of inflincting in assets losses also only a little fraction of its cost(the reason of THIS cost,is without "stealth" also a '60 year SAM can down it!)
