If you just looked the genre of music they have on the offical site labeled as GRUNGE.If you don't believe me go to their page and read it and weep. Besides, garage rock later on transformed to grunge so.. its basicly the same thing

Where on their website does it say they are grunge? Garage Rock never transformed into Grunge, so you're wrong about that. Grunge faded away in the mid 90's. The White Stripes recorded their first album in 1999, and it certainly wasn't grunge.

I've looked it up already and I looked it up again. Everything I've read says they are Garage Rock. If you read what Garage Rock or what Grunge is on Wikipedia, neither of them say anything about one influencing the other or one being influenced by the other. I don't know where you got the notion that The White Stripes are Grunge because they most certainly aren't. You need to look it up.
