Nokia N900 Transformers

Anyone who has this phone & can't appreciate it is in dire need of giving it away to (any) one of the developers at maemo.org. Seriously.

If you bought this phone 'cuz it was different, without realizing HOW it is different & how DIFFERENT it really is, you do not deserve it.

Go home, stay up tonight, install power-kernel, overclock it upto 1150 MHz, change the boot-animation, tweak it to record 720p videos, install Android (or MeeGo, or Kubuntu) on a multiboot system.

..& that's just a start.

@Carmelo3691 If you mean Windows Phone, then yes, you're right. If you mean Maemo or MeeGo, then you're 100% wrong. Linux is the way of the future for phones, in-car devices, home appliance OS's, smart landline phones, SmartTV's, etc.

Check out Ubuntu TV for some real insight into the future.

I have an N900 and had it for almost 2 yrs now.... it is nothin close -or ever was- to what is in this vid. Never mind the transformer animation and on but the conveyed idea off this vid is not true at all. Its not fast in streaming videos, playing games or even watching videos locally. I think the N900 had a good concept behind it - when it came out it was phenomenal but then there were no updates for its OS and it just died out so easily.

Nokia is just losing it recently in the market...

I wish my android phone was more like an n900. Nokia did a lot of things right with meamo. Its a shame that they cancelled it.

@frozenholmez Go to /usr/share/hildon-welcome/medi­a and copy the video there, and after that, in /etc/hildon-welcome.d/ edit default.conf with the video file name.

Or download BootScreen using app manager.
