  • gotta love the smoke effects ! thumbs up, a masterpiece.

  • Where would one purchase such models?

  • @TheFalloutNerd

    ebay is good

  • @TheFalloutNerd

you have to spend hours painting them too though

  • @slizzler1

    I'm accustomed to doing so.

  • @TheFalloutNerd

ok- it seemed like you never did military modeling the way your previous comment was phrased.

If you wanted to know specifics for these types of figures, they are plastic 1:72nd scale Napoleonics

primarily made by 'Airfix' - your best bet to buy them very easily and economically, is through ebay.

  • @slizzler1

I'm quite new to painting historicaly acurate models but I've been painting models for some time now. Thank you for the information good sir

  • @TheFalloutNerd

    no problemo;

You might want to start with 54mm scale figures - about 4" tall and easier to paint..... 1:72nd scale are about 1" tall figures - faster to paint

  • cooles video ich brache für eine figur so 20 min wie lange hast du für so viele gebraucht

  • @Arschloch8238

    Ein paar Jahre ;)

  • Very great, like the other dioramas as well.

  • You have the patience of a saint, i've had my italeri english riflemen for ages and i've only done around 6-7 of them.

  • what is that smoke made from ? cause its awesome !! :)

    sorry for bad English.

  • @uptime28

    Danke!

    --> Watte

  • @Tommer17 how did u do the smoke?

  • @yokiitaja1

This is cotton wool with haarspray

  • @Tommer17 cool :)

  • @uptime28 cotton balls

  • are those from Italery ?

  • @eyederrick Yes I think italeri and hat

  • nice vidoe

  • can you get the scots greys cav in this format?

  • @34arse

They're still available from Italeri, and in the 80s Esci produced them, they were widely available back then in the stores. I'm pretty sure they will not be hard to find in the second hand market like Ebay and so on.

  • can you get the scots greys cav in this format?

  • ill buy it for 300$-400$

  • great!

  • So much work... and then the little green bases.... LOL

  • where do you buy these from????

  • can you make a tutorial of painting for new comers such as my self? im no painter XD

  • what colours do u use when painting horses?

  • @supersoftaaja

Brown, Black, White, Grey from Revell. Nothing special...

  • @Tommer17 i mean, when revell, which colour number?

  • @supersoftaaja

    OK: 5, 8, 78, 84

  • Very lovely.

Can you custom make a 1:72 Napoleon character to add?

  • Wonderful battlefield. I dreamed of having my figures laid out like this when i was younger but i didn't have the space! I used to buy the Revell and Esci Napoleonic 1:72 packs from my local hobby shop. Now sadly, i just don't have the time or patience to paint them anymore. Great video.

  • I would cut off the dark green thing on the floor ( sry, i dont know the word in english ;-) ) and fix napoleon xD with glue on the ground

  • Where were you bought it?

  • jealous

  • COOL

  • @ihateuubut

I`ve put 6 plywood platforms together.

Artificial turf and small trees are from the local Hobby Shop.

The hills are made with plaster and the water is poured with candle wax.

    That´s it...

  • @ihateuubut

Thanks. Background? It´s the loft :)

  • are you sure this is 1/72 and not 1/32.

  • What is the title of the last march?

  • La Victoire est à Nous

  • It is from the soundtrack of the 1970 movie Waterloo. Composed by Nino Rota. Very good movie and soundtrack. That march is "La vieille garde - I Prussiani - Wellington (""Now it's your time!"")"

  • great job .. i even recognize some very old miniatures in there .. great job indeed

  • wow this is awsome im thinkin about making dioramas.

  • this is crazy!!! good job

  • Excellent Diorama, as a fellow waterloo modeller, watching your video has given me great pleasure, Well done.

  • Thanks ;)

  • Hey dude I love all your diorama's, I usually paint hickey figures, but you have me inspired to start a diorama! My dad does Mediaval ones and I am really debating on either a Zulu, Napoleon, or Civil War diorama? Which was the most fun to do?

  • He that´s nice.

I´m now also working on a William Wallace Medieval Diorama.

So you see. I´m orientating to films which I´ve seen.

But I mostly like the Civil War diorama

determined by "Gettysburg", "Gods and Generals" and the Reenacting Stuff.

But keep in mind, that it takes a lot of time and money to build your own Diorama.

    I usually paint 3 figures a day.

    That takes 1 hour.

Then, after ca. 2 years I have enough together.

  • Wow, may I suggest, the way I paint miniatures is like an assembly line. I paint the flesh, then boots, hats, guns and bayonets, backpacks and bags, then the front cross, and then finish the uniform. To me you get the same detail and it takes less time, but thats just my opinion. The way you do it obviously works too

  • Many years ago, I started painting like that.

    But believe me.

    Thats boring.

And because it is boring, you make mistakes.

You better start with the priming coat on 3 figures.

And then the details on 3 others, which have the priming coat already.

  • Ok I've decided I'm going to do a Zulu War diorama, the hobby shop I go to has about three boxes of everything so I'm going to have a pretty good diorama! Hopefully I'll load a video on it.

  • Oh by the way how did you make your diorama base? Plaster cloth?

  • Easiest way:

    Chipboards nailed on ledges.

Glue and grass from the hobby shop.

And the small mountains with plaster.

Try to make a river with blue candles ;)

Good luck, hope to see the results soon.

  • If u sell these u can get LOTS of money :)

  • Fantastic! Great recording of the Consular March too!

  • how long it took u to paint them

  • Ca. 5 years ;)

  • The resoult was well worth the time!

    AWESOME diorama!

  • nice 5 stars!

  • good job hehe nice
