  • tvoh01: A correction. This song wasn't written by Graham Parker (though I love his version of it the best). The song was written by Earl Randle, who wrote a number of R&B songs over a long career, including a lot of work for Al Green.

  • this has got to be the best compliment GP has ever received Ann doing his song since his influence was some of Motown, any one have live at Marble Arch, tnxs for posting

  • Just watched a version of this with Darrell Nulisch

    ft. Johnny Moeller.

Only really heard this in the 80s from Paul Young, but this and Darrell's versions are more R&B for me

  • One of Memphis Tennessee's best . I love you, Annie!

  • R&B = Soul

real R&B is something most Soul & R&B listeners can not listen to and can not dig...

at least what we called R&B in the 70ies...

  • Great great great! Peebles is amazing, always. I love you for posting this!

  • Amazing!!!!!!

  • Oh, I'd remember she was that year in Paradiso as well and I was there. And the audience really "sighs" when this Queen of Soul attended the stage. At last we could see her singing live! OMG....the vibe with total strangers who stand close to me....Loves you Ann!
