  • who was in the golf bag ...?

  • Way ahead of its time. Beautiful music and video, good job.

  • @Nomis2779 thank you!!!

  • I loved this record when I very first heard it. Now almost 40 years later it is still just as Beautiful, Haunting and Moving as it was then.

  • @MrJambug wow so lucky to get to hear it upon its release

  • @thegouster I think I was. In fact, hearing the whole 'Another Green World' Album for the first time was an amazing experience. That was true for many others as well I believe, including one of my other Heroes (excuse the pun), David Bowie, as it was on hearing AGW that he decided he wanted to work with Eno. Great memories.

  • these sounds go together well

  • Eno is truly one of the more unique artists as evident by this graceful song. Simplicity and elegance at it's inner core finest.

  • This is the best music to take a road trip and listen to. Everytime I drove from Arizona to California I would listen to this! Try it sometime!

  • @chrispycritter2 totally!

  • I feel sorry for the people that haven't heard this.

  • Its so beautiful and now I'm crying...

  • Eno plays the sound of the secrets landscapes hide in each soul...he's more then a genius, he's absolutely in tune with human's feels...great!!

  • eno and zappa!!...truly are, and were pure geniuses!!!.....really pushed the boundrys of "music" as we know it!!... fo sho!..

  • The video is great!:) I love Eno... His music is so ambient.

  • If there were a God, Brian Eno would be Him.

  • Eno is nothing without Harold Budd. Nothing.

  • @bufon63 Sir, your prejudice is quite glaring; yes, the Budd/Eno collaborations are nothing short of Spiritual in their essence, to dismiss all of the other Eno work out of hand is a harsh criticism of a man's work and influence. Although it is "pop" in essence, give "Here Come the Warm Jets" a listen, especially the title track. The dynamics and densities that Eno creates are amazing. Might also give the "Gymnopédies" by Eric Satie a listen. Just a thought.

  • @cementbug Of course I'm aware of Satie. You have your opinion, I have mine and I believe Eno's solo work is weak, vastly overrated and that solo, he's got away with murder over the years. Just my thoughts :)

  • @bufon63 I agree, most of Eno's solo work is over-rated, due in part to the rabid Eno loyalists who decry anything ambient done by any other composer. I think that Eno functions best in a collaborative setting, as he has with Harold Budd. I do have a soft spot for the mellower solo works: Julie With, By This River are two favorites, and somewhat presage his work with Budd. Totally respect your opinion, thanks for the intelligent response.

  • @cementbug Likewise. Just didn't get the "prejudice" bit. I have no axe to grind. Best to you too.

  • @bufon63 the use of :prejudice' rather than "preference" is an aplorable faux pas for which I am sorry. I have no axe to grind, no agenda to push. I'm sorry for any implied hostility; none was meant . I hope tht I can call you friend: best wishes to you ;]

  • @bufon63 Go eat Harold Budds ass out you freak!

  • @bufon63

    absolute tosh.

One of the most influential figures in the history of music, he has inspired the best out of Bowie, U2, Talking Heads, James, Coldplay, - who all learned at the feet of the master. Criticising Mr Eno is disrespectful and petty. He has about 7000 unreleased tunes on his imac, We want more, I want it all! Please, Brian, xxxx it, let us browse your inventory. Al x you know you want to ;)

  • @SucceedinBusiness I could not have said it better..

  • @bufon63 they did create beautiful things together, but this is not with harold budd

  • @thegouster I know it's shit. That's why I said what i said, that he's nothing without Budd.

  • how dare you, you pompous ass. you are nothing.

  • @bufon63 false

  • this music comes from the bottom of the soul...;=)

  • Did you ever listen to the Seal Beach ep by the album leaf? That's a great ambient album, and you're on that beach hahaha

  • I watch this when stargazing with my telescope :)

  • so hard to put a finger on the mood - sadly joyous? solemnly happy? lovely.

  • waves . love in rays, i will love, the d3ad as they float, in emptiness.

  • Me, On my mountain Overlooking Riverside, CA, watching the sunset =)

  • This is on the playlist I give massage by to my clients. Great - have followed Eno since the 80s....

  • this is easily one of the best ambient/elctronic songs i have ever heard

  • Amazing music! Thank you for sharing this!

  • This and "Spirits Drifting" are my two favorite tracks from Another Green World...and to those 7 haters, shame on you.

  • If we're talking about Eno's influence, everyone should type Boards of Canada into the search bar... put on some headphones and be transported.

  • seal beach? thats ocean county? right?

  • Music that the Angels in Heaven pause for...............

  • SHAAAAARRRRKK!

  • great shots and sounds.

  • im glad you exist:)

people need to see and feel whaat you can see and feel :)

  • this is one of my favorite Eno tunes. This proves the man is a genius. This song is infinitely soothing, ethereal, and celestial. As soon as the synth comes in, the transcendental beauty just takes you away, it's so atmospheric yet gorgeous.

  • One of my favorites from Another Green World! Amazing track!

  • lovely track; from Another Green World. Nice vid too man

  • Man, all of this Brian Eno stuff REALLY explains Kid A.

  • absolutely. Eno's work inspired so many of the ambient/electronica albums of today's music. Although Slowdive deserves credit for being one of the first 90s bands to pick up on his sound and expand it, then Radiohead

  • @weezadam slowdrive eh? I'll have to look in to it. It's clear that this guy has had a big impact on a lot of folks.

  • @weezadam I thought slowdive originated it, but then found eno. Nevertheless, 'Miranda' by Slowdive and 'An Ending' by eno, played back-to-back, have an equally powerful effect on the emotions. If you know of any other tracks by other artists that compare to those two, please send me a message :) peace

  • @sicklesickle

    Try:

    Camel: Elke

Jon Anderson: Song of search (from Olias of Sunhillow)

    Yes: Soon (from Relayer)

Tangerine Dream: Girl on the Stairs

Isao Tomita: Girl with the Flaxen Hair (Debussy)

  • If Radiohead sent some people here, good for them. It's only right. Eno is something Yorke could only aspire to be, and they owe it to their fans.

    I love'em both, actually.

  • This music is so beautiful it makes grown men cry.

  • Yes, so many of Eno's music makes me cry. It really fills my heart. Reminds me of me and my dad. Now I wished it could have been a better realationship. Even though he has been dead for 7 yrs, and that im an an atheist. i do think there is a Human Spirituality. Or is there?

  • its a question that might not have a specific answer. perhaps we (humans) are not supposed to know because its all part of something completely and utterly out of our grasp...my apologies if overstepped any boudaries, I read your comment and thought a response might be of comfort. my brother just turned me onto Eno's solo stuff here..really cool. kinda reminds me of Vangelis' Blade Runner soundtrack

  • Thank you AKMAC82, your words do give some solace to me. I really think that the 'Buddha Nature' of all beings is WAY beyond our conceptualization. WAY. Yet, somehow some of us get it (or at least a tiny glimpse of it) One Day we will put it all behind.

  • We can certainly have beautiful and moving experiences, without believing anything on insufficient evidence.

Religion, contrary to popular belief, does not have a monopoly on feeling.

  • @Subadai111 spirituality is a great idea, but there's just no physical evidence, in my mind it is the memories of someone left behind that you your self remember and retain, to me that's their spirit

  • @SamsungGX20

The song is so "simple", but I feel the same and are still crying...

    Michael G. from Germany

  • Wahay! This was on The Trap! Cheers big ears!

  • found it*

  • Same here. Heard this in The Trap and just had to find it.

  • thanks, thom yorke :)

  • You also found just because of the radiohead site? im so happy i did :P

  • Beautiful, nothing beats a Californian sunset. Absolutely breathe taking when I first saw it. Coincidentally, I was listening to Eno when I experienced mine.

  • thank you for sharing your creation

  • Amazing footage, mate

  • Ever skated to Brian Eno?

    Well I've its awesome :)

    Just so chilled and relaxing.

  • This song is so minimal yet it speaks to me in such a complex emotional way. Excellent job on this video, by the way. Five stars.

  • como anillo al dedo

    sobrecogedor!

    Overwhelming

  • Simply the best Eno creation, wherever you are in the world, put this on and watch the sunrise. Me? Standing on Chelsea bridge over the River Thames in the springtime!

  • @Thehood666 For me sitting on Hyams Beach in South East Australia.

  • @Thehood666

My favorite track off of "Another Green World".

how many tears have you cried?

    D~

  • Man thats deep, but thank you

  • look sir, you haven't won the cake, please step away from the counter..

  • The only five chords that could ever make me cry. Thanks for putting this up.

  • masterpiece

  • thank you very much, very well done.

  • Brian Eno ispiracao de ontem, amanha e depois

  • one word = escapism

  • a good tribute

  • What album is this from? I've been looking for what I can get next of Brian Eno's music - after being totally impressed with Apollo: Atmospheres and Soundtracks.

  • The album is "Another Green World".

  • Another Green World and Before And After Science are great albums. different from Apollo in certain ways...

  • But along the same lines? Cause Brian Eno sorta dips into different styles, for different albums, doesn't he?

  • well both contain some "pop" tracks and are not "as ambient" as apollo (as e.g. his music for airports album is).

but these two are (by some amount) my favourite works of him. p3 is apollo ;)

u could give "By this river" a try here on youtube, its from the before and after science album.

    i recommend both albums highly.

  • Cool! Thanks for the direction for more Brian Eno! :D

  • That sunset is beautiful.. ty for posting =]

  • I am very thankful that you posted this....very touching, very beautiful,

  • Very beautiful!

  • zohra82 je suis d'accord !! heureusement que je sais aimer la musique sans forcément avoir une biere à la main, lol .

  • Thanks for posting this! Its very inspiring.

  • @mankouzo

  • ohh god ..memories come back ...blessing and painfull at the same time

damn ..if I could only tempararely switch off my emotions ..ahh ..

This one is from another green world if i'mm not mistaken

thanks for posting ..and thans mr. eno for tickling yr

    synth collection

    peace ..

    see y'all there

  • I was feeling the same

  • ,yeh, very nice, but what it REALLY needs is some spam saying something like "iS yOR waNgER nOT LOnG ENuFF? -Do yOu wOnNt 2 mEet hOt cHix? vIsiT yadayadayadadotspurtdotsplom".....or is that just me?

  • esta musica es de ENO, MOEBIUS y HANS JOAHIM ROEDELIUS de un disco que se titula AFTER DE HEAT. preciosa musica y precioso video. gracias por el buen momento que me has proporcionado.

  • thank you

  • you're welcome!! :)

  • This is so gorgeous it's almost painful

  • Beautiful. Thanks

  • Superb

  • likee. are you a water sign? i am becalmed, Pisces Rising.

  • Thank you.

  • The images really augment the serenity of the music. This is one of my all time favourite pieces of music--it actually gives me chills. I did a video set to "The Big Ship"--check it out if yer interested.

  • Dang, I forgot to mention the video is called H2O.

  • Mmmm, sublime, I loved that! Thank you for sharing.

  • Thank you.

  • Nice work with a really beautyfull song

  • thank you very much :)

  • Good stuff! The vid could have been more 'professional' but it would lose it's charm.

'Another Green World' is a beautiful album - my fave track is 'The Big Ship' - in fact I'm listening to it as I type :o)

  • the big ship is one of my favourites! thanks for the comment

  • unos de los mejores discos de la musica pop((CON MAYUISCULAS))

  • Cool idea,i love Brian Eno!

  • thank you very much :)

  • Well done. now do the same thing with Neil Youngs "On the beach"

  • great idea! i shall think about that one for sure :)

  • Scenery is nice, but you should not play around with the camera/tripod all the time. Make still views and let the tape roll, stop and then reframe. Also use manual exposure to avoid under-exposure (palm trees). Bring some more!

  • thanks for the advice... the palm trees couldn't have turned out more what i had in mind however... this is the first time i've ever done anything like this ever, so it's not supposed to be good haha :)

i'll make more if the mood strikes me :)

  • whats the name of this soundtrack? nice video,i love brian enos music

  • thank you :)

the song is called "Becalmed" from Another Green World

  • nice video for a great eno instrumental! good job!

  • Wow, that fit the music so well. At times I felt like I was soaring over the water as the waves washed towards the shore.

  • gorgeous.... you have some talent there my friend.
