OMG, this is so nostalgic! This was the first Sangokushi-based media I watched as a kid back in 1997 that got me totally hooked on the whole thing! Sadly, the one I watched was the heavily edited Korean version (a LOT of scenes were cut out, which I found out recently). Do you know where I can get the Japanese version (except Japanese shopping sites, since I can't read a word on it)?

Guan Yu should've killed Cao Cao when he got the chance, Because look now. He was captured by him and the other guy. Too bad Zhang Fei was killed too. He was too mean to the soldiers.

After Guan's death, Zhang Fei drunk heavily to drown out his depression over Guan Yu's death but in doing he also treated his men badly, Which led to the soliders killing him in his sleep. Zhang Fei was the brawn of the three, since he and guan battled together, they were like true siblings, Zhang Fei was extremely sad that Guan had died thus causing him to write his own death: by drinking way too much.

I read the literature. In Korean. Zhang Fei was furious and unreasonable leading his troops after Guan Yu was killed. His death wouldn't have occurred if he led his units as he did when conquering the western territory.

Also, technically, there is no "good guy" and "bad guy" in ROTK. Just different ideals.

I would honestly recommend to read the literature than watching this. For some reason, this video was recommended to me by youtube which is why I happened to watch...

I am aware of the novel "Romance of the Three Kingdoms". But I must say that the "Sangokushi" version isn't that bad when it comes to being historicaly "accurate". I mean, the things you know are wrong you can easily see but most is based on the real deal. And I won't really say making Liu Bei the "good guy" wrong. He fought for the Emperor while Cao Cao usurped the role as Prime Minister and made himself as powerful as an Emperor without ousting the Emperor.

Part 2:

"A pricipal is only as vigid and correct as the time it is presented in".

Meaning, the principal of correctness is determid by the rules of law, society and government of that very time in its existance.

Meaning; that time presented the titlement of Emperor as rightful leader of its people and that all must follow that leader. So, even if you say Cao Cao was a visionary of his time, he still broke the very pricipals of his time too. Liu Bei didn't.

That certainly doesn't make Cao Cao wrong (or the "bad guy") in his doing. Unfortunately, history of most, if not all, of the world is the same way. If the principal was followed and kept, we would never even live in the world that is right now. People say rules and laws are meant to be broken. What can I say?

In another respective, if it wasn't for Cao Cao and his ideal to conquer and unite China, China would possibly have never been united. In that aspect, Cao Cao is China's hero.

I admire your sence of logic. It's is true that a nation, or the world in general, cannot be shaped if not realised by it's people that it could be "miss" -shapen.

+ And it is also true, "That doesn't make Cao Cao" the bad guy. I mearly wanted to show one of the main reasons they might have made Liu Bei out to be the good guy in most of ROTK series+ of course he's gental spirit and belief in Virtue and Justice. But remember. It's the ballance of both our arguments that makes a society.

No, I understand your perspective perfectly well. During my younger years reading this, I also thought that Liu Bei was the good guy.  It is true indeed that he is, in respect to practicing to protect the law and principal.

I don't get much discussion about this topic often, thanks to where I live. It was good to talk about it.
