I strongly advise you read Perry v. Schwarzenegger. It very clearly outlines why Prop 8 is un-Constitutional. The California attorney general flatly admitted it's un-Constitutional, and Schwarzenegger didn't even show up to court to uphold it. That's right.  The California government would not even defend it in court. When the defendants were asked what harm there is in gay marriage, they blatantly said, TWICE, "I don't know." LOL!!
