Coming out for me was hard :/ I had friends turn on me and try to stab me, and all that normal bullshit, but with my parents, they found out from other people, and my dad and I don't talk, so I didn't tell him anything at all.. My mother told him after she found out, then I stayed in my room fir weeks, and I never looked at my family, I was scared if what they'd do..

I doubt it happens very often that a parent does not need some time for adjustment after finding out their child is gay.
Granted, your parents hardly acknowledging you for a while probably did not make you feel good, but at least they did not "abuse" you (physically or emotionally), send you for "treatment" or kick you out.
