yep, slec-trac is the best 4x4 system made, no arguements out there. ive tried to tell people that quadradrive is basically allwheel but nobody listens!
@chrism1367 Yes, I understand that the 242 is a tc. However, unless locked in 4lo, it allows for some slip in which case the torque is sent to the path of least resistance; like an open diff. On the other hand, a 247 will progressively transfer more torque to the axle with the most grip, not least resistance.

242 is great, but it works like an open diff unless in low range. 247 doesn't have 2wd, but acts like an lsd/locker all the time.
