Besides, where does it say anything about Skye writing the song and Tim asking permission to use it, and Skye giving that permission like you said before?Like I said before, none of that is true.

The song was written by Armstrong for Sweetnam's album "Sound Soldier", but was also re-recorded by Armstrong and Sweetnam ... it appeared on Armstrong's solo LP " A Poet's Life" which is his love letter to 2-Tone ska...Sweetnam has versioned the song with her own lyrics...and released it, along with a very watchable video. here is Tim Armstrong's original version with Skye doing backing vocals and The Aggrolites backing it all up. google it.

@mrjinx87 yes, re-recorded... as is every song on both their albums. In a basement, you start laying down differnt tracks, you experiment, you overlay differnt things on each other, and at the end of the process, you have something that is close to what will be actually recorded for the album. Then, you get the studio players or band together, get to the studio, assemble the production team, and re-record all the tracks that will eventually make up the album.

@Skarotum The version on Tim's Album is obviously the original. Armstrong's Poet's Life was released May 22, 2007. Sweetnam's Sound Soldier was released 5 months later on October 30, 2007.

Also, listen to both albums... this song was obviously written for Armstrong's Poet's Life, a 2-tone ska revival. That's exactly what the song is, and the rest of his album is exactly the same... and sounds very similar. The same cannot be said for Sound Soldier.

She first mentioned "Into Action" way back in June 2006, 11 months before A Poet's Life was even released. She made the original version with Tim and The Aggrolites when she was living in Los Angeles writing and recording Sound Soldier back in 2005.

And "Into Action" is *supposed* to stick out.
