  • He sounds like big bird from Seasme Street!

  • funny if there was another bird named Scarlet

  • I took care of an african grey for a bit, but had to give him back because he kept teasing my dog and conure and calling my friend inappropriate names.

  • lmaooo!

  • Well la-di freakin dah.

  • "Frankly Scarlet, I don't give a damn" AMAZING. Amazing.

  • o my goodness , i hav exams bt im just stuck watching videos of talking parotts ...!!1

  • I guess they have a cat.

  • Did it just say barrel roll?

  • aliss where are you going.....UP STAIRS TAKE A BATH xD hahahahaha what a legend!!!!!!!!

  • 0:39 is the creepiest thing ever

  • @curtastic watch "Never raise a parrot with a baby"

  • "frankly scarlet ..Idon't give a damn!" love it my mom inherited one from a man who was in her words a "crochety" old man and he says all kinds of nifty not so nice words and phrases but i think my favorite two things he does is when he counts to four then starts sining "row row row your boat" and always gets every one sining it just to hear it again

  • id make him talk like cartman

  • " I'm smart..I'm pretty..." hahaha

  • As others have said, it's quite unique to hear such clear speech in one of these videos. I was beginning to feel that MY African Grey was more special because I felt mine spoke clearer than most I've watched. So while I now feel I have company I can also say that this little guy easily beats mine. What a joy :-)

  • la dee Freakin' da!

    I'm smart, I'm pretty... Good Dog~!!

  • goodness i bet he wishes he has a bird friend :( If they weren't so endangered I think it would be barbaric to keep them in cages. But its a beautiful cagae and you're clearly good bird parents :D

  • MEOW

lol i love this bird =D

  • this african grey scares the shyt out of me.........ive never heard one speak SO clearly before....FUK PLANET OF THE APES ITS ALL BOUT THE GREYS, RUN FOR yOUR LIVES

  • @dontbannme2540 Haha, I just imagined this and now I can't stop laughing..

  • we have an african grey and she has never plucked and she doesnt have an companion...we had 2 once...bad idea...they had screaming competitions....very loud!!!

  • alice where are you going...upstairs to take a bath XD!

  • Birds tear out their feathers when they are lonely...they live in flocks in the wild and get depressed when they are alone. He should have a companion.

  • Does she/he pluck? :( I want to get an African Grey but I'm scared that it'll pluck!

  • *BONG hit... excuse my crappy typing.

  • lol sounds like he's imitating a bing hit at 0:37

  • 0:14 why dose your parrot watch gone with the wind

  • @1:22 a hidden message can be heard!

  • is your african grey a feather plucker? you know, thats just because hes bored. all you have to do is get him some foraging toys, an just more toys in general and he will be all better! 8D

  • Alice? Where are you going? Upstairs to take a bath! xD 0:39

  • LOL "I'm smart, I'm pretty... Good Dog"

  • Hi Five!

  • I would want to plant this bird in some random's house? "Alice, where ya goooing?"

  • This is the first time I've heard a parrot speak so clearly.

  • @twilightdivamidna me 2....this is so cool!

  • well la tee frickin DA!

  • parrot is a drunk ahahahahah

  • sounds like kermit the frog...

  • sounds like my cat

  • plucking in parrots is usually related to being neglected by the owner, not giving company and leaving the bird alone in cage with nobody around for longer period of times. Parrots go into depression in such conditions and inflict injuries on themselves by plucking their feathers all the way.

  • @reckz420 your an idiot

  • @Xarai: why is that? am I somehow related to you? thats the only reason that would make me an idiot also.

  • ahaha, his voice is pretty, is that weird to say? for a bird that is...

  • 12 people are named Frankly Scarlett

  • was he a rescuse bird or something? why did he pluck himself?

  • lol hes mocking people

  • Poor bird

  • If he would sound like a Predator from AvP, he'll scare me to death when im gettin a drink at night xD

  • Its sooo creepy how human sounding they can be!

  • Lol he meows.

  • poor birdy has picked himself clean.

  • Is scary! His voice is like human voice .O.

  • this is freaking amazing!

  • This parrot needs more toys and things to do in it's cage. One toy? Really??!! No wonder all he does is talk.

  • omg 0:18 it said i don't give a damn

  • "I'm smart, I'm pretty.....good dog"

  • one dislike is scarlett and the other 11 got mauled by a parrot

  • Brilliant!! It kept my Rolo (African Grey) quiet 4 a few minutes lol

  • thats not a parrot its a demon!

  • i think it was a woman in it's previous life.. probably why its talking too much ;)

  • anyone know the brand of that cage?? I need to know please.

  • Have u told ur parrot that it's a cat or is it just copying a cat sound . Ur parrot is really funny

  • Don't touch me there LOL

  • Did it say "Chichiri" at some point? 8D

  • it dont seems like a parrot, it seems like a human taking

  • Omg me and my mom were dying watchin this XD too freaking awesome!! How long does it take to teach these birds to talk?? I used to have a Cockatiel and all I could get it to do was copy a whistle lol

  • hahahahahahahahahaha hes having a conversation with himself...just hope he doesnt get into a fight with himself ;)

  • I'm gonna teach my parakeet to say "Right on!"

  • I have one too. All she does is scream HEEP HEEP HEEP HEEP very high pitch and unpleasent to be around, 24/7. About 7 years old now. Is it defected?

  • @loveandhate777 try to get your insurance correct and premature explode your defected parrot... just kidding :p

  • =) I have an african grey parrot too =) she sings Sweet Home Alabama check out my vids of her =)

  • Thanks. That was hilarious. African grey's seem love to practice their reptoire of words when they are by themselves. I had one that would make up its own sentences with good syntax, and appropriately. For example I used to wonder why he liked to sit on the shower rod in my big bathroom. Then one day while he was there he piped up "Seraph [his name] likes the birdie." What birdie? His reflection in the bathroom mirror that he could see before him!

  • @LoricaLady That's amazing.

  • lol i liked it when it said Are you alright??

  • 1:30-1:40 is kinda creepy, pimp the volume and U hear a weird voice

  • she is just great!! my parrot is pretty talkative as well... I adore the well la de freaking da!! too funny!!

  • 'Im smart, Im pretty; your a dog... Yes you are...

  • Ok maybe it's me, but I wanted my African Grey to hear other African Grey's talking, so I turned my volume very loud on my computer. It freaked me out that during 1:30 and 1:40, there is a very evil sounding voice talking to your bird in the dark. Did anyone else notice this? I had my husband listen to it and he thought it was freaky. Turn up your volume and listen, maybe it's just me, but your house might be haunted :O

  • @InfectTheCrypts It's a female voice?Cause I think I heard it 0.0

  • i would honestly be scared if i was home alone and i heard him speak X33 id be like .. o.o;; i hear speaking . . *turns head around slowly* OHAI X3

  • OMG i love ur bird i want him :)

  • That bird could be dangerous! Overhearing private conversations and repeating them randomly lol

  • 1:40 he sounds like kermit the frod

  • Haha, this bird is damn epic.

  • Frankly Scarlett I Don't Gave A Damn !!!! HAHAHA that rocks . Clark Gable would be rolling in his grave over that line with laughter .

  • how does it do that!?

  • Lol, its talking to its self. Having little conversations XD

  • Lol it's just saying the most random things haha

  • The bong hit was priceless!!! Nicely done.

  • he/she is very smart but really needs a few different toys, seems to be a little shy on the feathers(due to deing bored and not enough attention/activity) but really good

  • "FRANKLY SCARLETT I DON'T GIVE A DAMN!"

  • Can I scrach your head

  • "Alice where are you going" .... "Upstairs to take a bath"

  • Wow! This bird can really pronounce things super clearly!

  • I didn't know parrots can memorize this much sentences/words. Is this real? I'm really skeptical about it. Any Parrot expert who can tell us if parrots can memorize all these sentences?

  • yes they can, african grays are extremely smart. Mine says the same type of stuff and has even memorized phone conversations.

  • @yabyab yes, they do memorize 'sentences' -- although we haven't heard more than 4 words at a time. this one here is probably real--they wouldn't have bothered to edit together several clips if they were faking it. also, you can see the throat moving as it talks.

ours will do "Bobo go bicycle", "I love you, Bobo", "Bobo roll over", "Bobo good girl", etc.

search youtube for talking greys and you will find several that do sentences--that is...3 or 4 word sentences.

  • I find it amazing how they sound just like humans when they talk :P

I would keep thinking people were in my house or I left the TV on or something haha

  • "Well la-de-freaking-da!"

  • Mannn if I had that bird I'd make it say the nastiest and rudest things.. Lol I would teach it to say :: I'm sofa king we Todd did

  • @Mannray126 wow im guessing u dont know shit about african greys huh? dumbass

  • @Mannray126 You've obviously never heard how well African Grey parrots can speak in real life.

  • @Mannray126

dont think you ever saw this kind of parrot.... their the best talking kind

  • OMG Frankly Scarlet, I don't give a damn! That has to be the funniest thing i've ever heard!

  • wow best talking bird i've seen.

  • Agreed Fliing! Some birds just pluck like a person bites there nails, once started its a hard habit to break and is unexplainable in most cases. It does not mean you did something or anything wrong, its just in the bird to do it and unfortunately "they" will not tell us why. I am so sorry to hear of your loss of Sylvia, she is so smart and funny and she will be missed!

  • how do they do that ! they not only mimic what people have said but they even sound like the person that taught them. so incredibly beautiful and intelligent. I guess its a skill they use in the wild to avoid predators, just sound like another predator and it will go away =] I love parrots.

  • He sound's like Ernie from Sesame Street :D Funny
