I want a p bass for that deep low end that I can't seem to get from my active yamaha that has basswood body. I'm wondering if its the body not being maple, or the pickups not being active, or a combo of both, idk.
But I really want vin mod p bass w/ the maple body, but also like the jazz bass, and this one seems cheaper than the vin mod. So do you notice the wood having any affect on the tone, or does it still sound like a normal p bass? thx
Thats why i bought it man! its a work horse bass beat the fuck out of it and it still works, shit all squiers are!!!!! i have a heavily modded squier strat and a squier tele i plan on moding aswell.

Its a Squier standard special pbass. I was looking on the gc website and it looks like they no longer have the color.
