Beautifully done! I'm a McAvoy fan, but it's nice to see a different perspective of the movie. Both the novel & the movie are equally good I think, which is unusual. Beautiful ending!
Good job, undermilkwoods, and good analysis of the movie. It's all about the power of words to wound. How does one atone for a lie the effects of which can never be reversed? Does the lie of the 'happy ending' truly atone for the lie of an accusation that ruins lives?
