There is not one single thing to dislike about this song. I'll assume the dislike up there is one of the band members illegitimate children by some crack whore that was a band groupie.
@elviscost69 I first heard this one on American Bandstand (believe it or not). However, seeing that Dick Clark began Bandstand in Philly (and that Todd R is a Philly native) it shouldn't be all that strange. This tune has true staying-power. Psychedelia at its best.
This tune makes me want to fly straight into the sun (and not have my wings melt away). Pure light -- pure joy! 1960s Psychedelia/Power Pop par-excellence! The out of phase effect is just soooo trippy. The bongos are great, too.
And to think, I first saw the video to this on American Bandstand. The out of phase effect -- jets flying back and forth inside my head. So who needed "acid"? Just the music alone back then was a hit.
Hey, if you've got 18 more seconds, after listening to Moby Grape's "Omaha" (which runs a second shy of two and half minutes), then you could listen to the best two-and-three-quarter minute song in existence!

One to drive along a California coastal highway as the sun sets. Put this one on a gold record and then send it into deep space.

No offense, but Todd's band days are much better than his solo ventures.

Somehow I missed this in the 60's. Seems like it should have been a monster hit. Wearing out the replay icon right now to make up for lost time.

A lot of people have probably already said this but that intro is exactly like The Who "Can't Explain".

You know, this has enough power to make me not care about them ripping the opening riff from "I Can't Explain."
