@ratingninja at this point the tribals and PA had captured more than 1/3 of kashmir.now instead of expedite their thrust to capture kashmir as early as possible,they engaged in looting innocent kashmiris and raping their women.maharaja of kashmir asked india for indian military help but india declined.they asked maharaja to accede to india in order to get any military help. at this point the maharaja of J&K signed the instrument of accession with india and j&k became an indian territory legally.

@ratingninja by now pakistani militants were within 5 km from srinagar.indian army entered kashmir on 28 october 1947 and shooed away the pakistanis to the present loc.if war would have continued india would have aqcuired whole of kashmir,but nehru thought that india had the accession papers so it is good to go to the UN which would then ask pakistan army to vacate kashmir.this was the short sightedness of nehru thatgave rise to kashir conflict.

@ratingninja we did not lose aksai chin to china.the fact is that it was already in possession of china prior to the war.but indian army could not know this because they had never patrolled this area.it was only after india came to know that chinese had built a road through this area that war started.at least we battled for that area with china.not like pakistan which gifted large part of kashmir to china without even facing them militarily.

@ratingninja even we say that 1965 war was a stalemate but india was in a far better position to win the war if the war would have continued.pakistan only had edge over india in the air.but in all other main battles pakistan had suffered losses.for ex:pakistan lost more men,more tanks and more territory than india.here india had almost 4 times the territory of pakistan than what pakistan held.it means india had clear edge over pakistan.so overall,INDIA-3 and PAKISTAN-1.
