  • good tutorial and review of product.

  • been looking around, try pogoplug...hated it, would love one if u have a extra one

  • Chris..this was an awesome review..I would really like one of those Tonido

  • Using this for music across multiple computers sounds awesome!!! though it is a bit disappointing that you have to have a external storage device connected to it. I assume that it is bot mac and pc capable?

  • type PRIZE before youtube and hit enter

  • ha ha better latte than never love it

  • Chris... is the security on this device very reliable? Will it need any type of re-set if it encounters a glitch or snag in the software. The reason I ask is because I need to place a device such as this with the external memory within a cinderblock wall where they would remain possibly forever. I need to protect very important financial information in a way that it would not be physically or electronically available except for me. thanks... bradleycoss@yahoo.com

  • i'll be happy try it but i dont run windows cos its s##t will run on Linux os ????

  • Instead of all these shenanigans, you could have demo'ed how this thing really works in real life, by remote accessing your server (Tonnido) from another PC. The most common complaints for theses devices (HP home servers, pogoplug etc) is how slow they are when you want to access a file from say your hotel or work? For future reference, any one can just read the label off the box and act cute, but that does not make it a helpful review.

  • i want one looks cool

  • LOL! Chris, you should probably consider acting!

Anyways,,, must say that I like your channel.. Very informative!

My brother needs one & was planning to purchase a similar product to expand the network. Would truly appreciate it if you could send me one.. **shy**

thnx, & keep up the good work!

  • 2:45 IS SSSOOOOO FUCKING FUNNY I TEARED MY EYESE SERIOUSLY

    I LOVE YOUR HUMOUR

  • The first thing that you need to do is call CodeLathe and find out how to pronounce Tonido!

  • I would love to have one of these.

It got pretty much of the services i need at the moment that im using a desktop computer that is online 24-7.

that seems great for the purpose im using it for

also i can save some eletrcicity.

  • i would like to win one of these that would be awesome

  • that's cool, no need of running a Linux distribution to do that stuff, external hard drive for sharing between home users would be the best feature for me :) + saving on electricity bills

  • i want so bad may i have one

  • good program. i installed it after i read your blog post about it and i have been using it since then . it has helped me a lot so i think i would like to have one of these . when i have the money i will buy one .

  • You have done a review on Tonido before, but good video! I would love to have one of these!

  • That's exactly what I need, I pick heads, number 42 and rock, depending on what method you'll be using to pick a winner.

  • I use two computers in my room, my brother uses one in his, my parents use one in theirs. They break their computers constantly, and the amount of backups we make using USB sticks to transfer files is grotesque. Would ADORE a Tonido around here.

  • many thanks for the review, sounds very useful

  • One of those would be helpful around here

  • Looks brilliant, wonder whether they can be used as web/DNS servers lol.

  • Sounds good.

  • can i have one please

  • Awesomes :)

  • I'd like to have a Tonido, or ToNido. I used a device similar to this before by Linksys, the NSLU2, which also has an underground community of folks who re-purpose it. I'm curious how open this device is too, or what it-s "potentially" capabal of. Don't be so glum Chris; us geeks will keep you company....not sure how comforting this is either to mention it. :) Hang in there buddy.

  • Look brilliant! Hope I win!

  • there are quite a few users in my home... would love to have one of these chris !!!

  • Lol

  • 4:40 gay baby was just born

  • I like this product (even though I dont own one) since it is one of those tools that seems useful for many people. I am interested in this, but I may buy one in the future.

  • i fukin hate these ads

  • sounds good chris i brought a mac after watching your videos and i got a imac i7 but now i feel like i got it to fast i should of waited for sandy but i7 is great KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK

  • I am highly interested in these hardware giveaways! :) I will be a computer science major hopefully and this seems like an excellent product to access my files as well as experience owning a personal network. Thanks.

  • macs are servers right out of the box they and a web server they have Apache built right into OSX

  • it sounds really helpful because there are so many people in my household!

  • Thats sweet! I would use that for my video work. I have to unplug and replug my external hard drive from computer to computer as i transfer files. Its quite annoying, but this, this is awesome!

  • Sounds Very interesting!

  • The Tonido sounds awesome, and for $99 for its usability makes it super cheap imo (I'll definitely be looking into buying it soon!)

  • i really want one

  • I would really like this. BTW, I think I'm the only one that DID like your stormtrooper videos, they were great! :P

  • Great info video - would really like a Tonido for a home sharing management tool.

    Many thanks

  • Chris,

I would love one of them. My family has tons of files and this would be a much better way than constantly having a file server running.

  • great ...... will be very Glad to own one,,

  • Having one of these would be way cool. I'll be moving into a new apartment with two roommates in a few weeks, and the tonido would probably be a lot less cumbersome than setting up a network without it (especially since we'll have two laptops running ubuntu).

  • It looks sweet, Chris! It looks like it's one of those things that you would never think of having but once you have it, I bet it would come in handy a lot. Like you said, its a complex but yet simple home network management gadgets. Merry Christmas Chris!

  • This device looks awesome I would love to have one of these gadgets, I do a lot of work away from home and would love to have something that is as small and easy to setup as this it would also cut the energy bills.

  • I don't care if this is a late reply. That device looks really good, and I would like one myself, because I have a lot of family members in my house, so something like that can really make a difference. Also it's handy because my little brother goes college, and having a gadget like that would help him out a lot, in stead of carrying 5 usb pens! No joke.

  • i would like on because i want to set up my first network =]

  • I would love this tonido as I have been trying to find a east set up to use to set up a home network ,

    Great video

    Jordan

  • Hey Chris, question, where did you get your office chair? It looks really comfortable. I would love to purchase one for my home office, is there a web site or store I can purchase that particular type of chair?

  • i would like one!! I / me too like to share as you put it '' LINUX PROGRAMS'' that is' lol would be nice to be able to share STUFF with my close buddy's . keep the tube vids coming.

  • It would be great to review on my YouTube channel! And it would be awesome to use it after that haha =D

  • *didn't not iSight lol messed up

  • Lol I felt so stupid lol iSight know what you where talking about haha I feel so dumb lol I just keep on saying like what is that?? Lol

  • I always attempt home servers but always fail in some shape or form. I could use one because it's low powered and takes up no space compared to my Linux box.

  • i would like to try one of those tonido at home thanks !

  • i want one cause it will make file transfer alot easier for my mom cause shes not a computer person and she likes to go back and forth between computers in our house and always asks me to do it for her via email or memory stick and im not always home to help her

  • I want 1 because I said so xP

  • hi chris i can def use one. thanks

  • i would take one because i would like to give it my friend.

  • I could use one!

  • Looks very nice I would like one for my home network

  • I want one! :)

  • Weather it is Toneedo or Tonido,, I would love to have this as it could save me time and make my life simpler, Ive never tried anything else like this before but i really can be happy if ive had one,, So please chris send me one!

  • So is it similar to plugging a USB hard drive into Apple's AirPort Extreme? Can you also access it anywhere as long as your are connected to the internet like you can in "dropbox"?

  • I'd love to try one of these out! I've tried the HomeGroup feature of Windows 7 before, which allows you to do a similar thing to this, but only between Windows 7 computers. I think that the Tonido would be awesome to have so that I can work on anything from my computer on any other computer in my house.

  • what advantages does this device have over an all in one router similar to the apple airport extream?

  • me

  • I'd like to try this out!

  • please send me one! i'd love one please. =D

  • Chris,

I have a home network I would be interested trying the new Tonido would be nice to learn about it.

  • nice stuff , i would love one

  • nice gadget chris

  • Chris Pirillo,

I would really like one of these for a few reasons. Right know, I go to school and I have to carry around a flash drive or a hard disk every day. I could upload these files to dropbox, but, for some reason, dropbox is blocked. My dad brings around a huge hard disk around to work because he cannot find a good place to store his files online. Lastly, I feel like that his is a great Christmas for my whole family and it would potentially save a lot of hassle. Thanks.

  • woow, dang, I want one

  • I could totally use one of these, very smart design looks easy to manage, just the thing i need.

  • wow that is smart :D

  • I have never written for one of these give-awaws. I think I would love one of these for a few reasons: I am going to school(Having this to have my files that I can access from anywhere is a good thing), I am doing some work with some people that life far away and that might be a great way to share files and lastly I think that this would be a great thing that I also recommend for other people.

    Thanks,

    mandoza

  • It would be a nice alternative to a NAS. I'm curious to see how it would perform between cross platform systems. I like the fact that it is browser based rather than relying on an application.

  • I could use that...

  • I would love to get one =)

  • I do not know how to pronounce it but I could definitely use one.

  • i could use one

  • I would love to have one!

  • this is cool and i really need one!

  • Wow, this is awesome! I would definitely benefit from this, I currently have 4 computers and a media server set up on my network. I'm interested in getting one in case you still have some.

  • how is different from Seagate pogoplug?

  • cool

  • i want one =]

  • You know i have seen a lot of servers but no one that is actually simple to use. It would be nice to have one. Also your not the only one that hates when people call it the iPod touch the iTouch.

  • I want one! Because no one know how to say it. Toneedo.. Tonaido? Who knows?? =]

  • Hey Chris, nice videos. I like your reviews on software and products. And yes, I am interested in your Tonido!

  • AWESOME your rock chris pirillo go UNI and i would love one

  • Comment removed

  • I'd like one Chris. It will help me and my roommates share files that much more easily and reliably. Thanks.

  • This is great. The Tonido would solve my problems with my "sneaker network". It appears easy to use just what I'm looking for.

  • I would love one!

  • i would love to have one

  • Looks like a really interesting piece of kit. Thing is full of features the interface looks clean and simple, great for multiple users on a network.

I'd really like one of these, I have multiple users in my house with several PC's and laptops which proves difficult to get the information from one to the other.

Though since this is completely random the chances of me winning are small since I seem to have terrible luck with just about everything.

  • I would like to have one please! :)

  • nice little thing

  • I heard of the hp media server thing, but this looks cooler

  • i would love to get one! :)

  • I definitely would buy one of this, so don't need it for free.

Sign them =) when you give it out

  • this is very awsome!

  • could do with a network - would be cool to know how these work :)

  • This a comment to hopefully win the Tonido.

    And share Linux distribution.

  • i would love to have one to add a external hd to and use as a wireless backup. i can then stream music and video to almost any device.

  • I don't get it... sounds like trying to do too much to me. Also, what's wrong with some using cloud products and services?

  • I love the idea however I am not sure I would pay $99 for one. I just don't know if its the sort of thing you would buy, setup and never really use. Thumbs up if you like it but your not sure if you will keep using it after 2 weeks.

  • Sounds like a really good product. I'll have to look into this and see what it costs. Thanks for the heads up Chris. :)

  • I stopped playing minecraft to watch this video. Good thing you keep me entertained. good job:]

  • YAAAY, giveaway! AWESOME <--- See google, i have a caps lock key... HA!

  • I have a usb drive and I want to make it a network drive. if that works with it, could I have one? thanks chris.

  • does it work with time machine? I want one. :|

  • We have a lot of computers here. I am using OpenDNS right now and I would like to have my own website but I don't have a wide variety of choice so the Tonido would be a great addiction to my home network.

  • I would like one so that I can manage my network better... :)

  • i have one of those it can run at 100 mbps or higher

  • Hey chris, could i please have a tonido?, i think it would be the perfect gift for my aunt who owns a dance studio cause she has multiple users on the network and she just doesnt know how to manage all of them. Thanks.

  • I have several harddrives sitting around my house and I was going to buy the goFlex Seagate NAS but if I could get this that would save me a lot of money.

  • I'd love to have one.

  • Looks cool. I could really use one for my home network. I will definitely give the software a try, but would not mind getting one for free ;).

  • Tried the software based version which I installed onto my computer. It was good back then, no doubt its better now!
