  • Great interview. An intelligent and thought provoking discussion. I just watched a Bill O'Reilly interview it's horrible. I font think his guests have one uninterrupted question.

  • @sarainreno30 Bill O'Reilly and shows similar (Rachel Maddow) are equally a waste of time. I wish news was just news with unbiased interviews. RIP Christopher Hitchens a great loss

  • Hitchens may not have believed in immortality, but he will certainly achieve it through his writing and speech... and everytime I light up a cigarette and sip Johnnie Walker Black. RIP.

  • Thank you so much for sharing this. I stumbled upon this interview via a suggested link after viewing a Eugenie Scott lecture. So glad I listened to this one.

  • I did not like this interview at all. The interviewer was insulting. Between the lines of his words he was spitting on Americans (How could you possibly be an American??) was what I heard, as well as on Jews. There was nothing impartial about him.

  • @davexy22 .apart from being born in american, and if you live in a developed country why would you go to america unless its to make money?in terms of being a jew, im sure hes an anti zionist but obv not got naything agasint jews.

  • Shoeless at 3:33

  • jesus, did anyone else feel uncomfortable watching this interview?

  • its child abuse to brainwash children

    spirit stealers

  • 3:20 haha lol it seems he likes to take his shoe off when answering questions :D

  • Quite nice listening, except Hitchens is wrong about one thing: The USA let 9/11 happen on purpose so that they could blackmail the entire world into submission and stir up a mass hysteria against the Muslims. All supporting the Israeli position in the ME. All premeditated by the despicable Zionists who are in control of the white house,,,

  • @FlyingDutchman65 Prove that conspiracy theory please, or shut up.

  • @MihaZ

rahm emmanuel is proof and his brother

  • His imigration to the nearest thing to a fundamentalist state in the developed world, sending his daughter to a religious school when she could have received a secular education at home (home schooling is widespread in the US), his support of a war fought for oil. All these things make his public statements suspect.

  • Mr Hitchens was left wing when it suited his purposes. He is making lots of money writing books on atheism. This would have been more impressive if it hadn't followed Dr Dawkins highly successful 'God Delusion'. I don't question his beliefs; he's a wonderful debater and I applaud his non-belief which I share. However I have some problems with the following:

  • I like Hitchens, but he's off the mark on Iraq. He rarely discusses the mass loss of civilian life because of US intervention in Iraq. He just enters into a whataboutery discussion

  • @SeanOBriain Hitchens has stated that, while he supported the intervention and removal of Saddam Hussein, the manner in which it was performed was atrocious. The dismantling of the military just succeeded in creating a massive resource of militarily able and now jobless, disenchanted young men for al qaeda to draw from. The de-Bathification of Iraq was also a major blunder, as most mid level civil servants, engineers, city planners etc were required to be party members to hold such jobs.

  • quel bon intervue

  • Good interview. The Hitch never disappoints.

  • Christopher is starting to look a bit like myself.Blasted by the booze. Anyway, keep it up mate ,there's not many who can string a sentence together these days

  • @BeppeSapone lol (Y)

  • I'd have to disagree. I very much liked the interviewer. When Hitch is paired with an American interviewer (who tend to be a bit more emotional) things get a bit shouty, but this was measured and allowed some good points to come across without ad homenum attacks.

  • I'm always glad when Hitchens points out that the United States is much less religious than people believe. George Bush and the Republican party are partly to blame for people believing otherwise. Disliked the interviewer. At the risk of being naive, might I say that the British and Americans aren't so different? Still, I won't dare deny that few would like being compared to an American :P

  • Excellent interviewer, although Hitchens is usually afflicted by terribly incompetent interviewers, that in no way infracts this man's polite and intelllegent manner.

  • That interviewer is excellent. Very intelligent questioning.

  • Hitchens rocks!

  • The French seem so much more open minded in their media...

  • Whoever scripted the question is a shit eating moron who must get their world view from the BBC.

  • Only crazy conspiracy theorists and people looking for attention believe this. It is int he same category as holocaust denial, climate change denial, Illuminati myths, etc.

Just because someone benefits from an event does NOT mean they orchestrated it.

  • And vice versa

  • your right to a point, however man made climate change is a huge farce.

  • @123strauss:

The only people who "know" that the U.S. "organised the attack on itself" are conspiracy theory lunatics who for some sinister reason defy evidence. So, fuck off.

  • Why don't I? Because the facts are on my side, not yours. I could ask you to procure evidence for your claim, which of course you couldn't, but there's a rather useful tendency of reasonable people to not engage in debate with obvious conspirycy nutcase fuckers like you; and I'll follow suit. Sorry, you idiots have failed completely. The one redeeming thought is that you'll take your frustration into the grave while we live our lives in clarity. Aww, almost feel sorry for you.

  • Wait...they, OMG, th..th..th..they EVEN HAVE THEIR OWN TV STATION ??!! Well, now you've completely convinced me! Very amusing.

Keep stamping your little foot in frustrated indignation while nobody takes you seriously. :)

  • wow non american interviewers actually interview people instead of getting their owns views across.

  • @kellsboy2000 The interviewer is actually English.

  • @kellsboy2000 lol. indeed.

  • @kellsboy2000 that was a nice interview...

  • @kellsboy2000

    haha, well said

  • @kellsboy2000 bullcrap

  • Possibly the best interview I've ever seen with Christopher, and almost definitely the best interviewer.

  • great interview and interviewer!

  • I never realized it before, but Hitchens actually looks like Ann Rand. Disturbing.

  • "I never realized it before, but Hitchens actually looks like Ann Rand. Disturbing."

I suppose if you squint and tilt your head sideways, and have a stigmatism, then he looks like Ayn Rand would look if she looked alot more like Christopher Hitchens.

  • Let's hope that Hitchens is right on Obama.

  • ummmm...sorry to burst your bubble, but Obama is a Christian...yes, his mom was agnostic and his dad was Muslim but he is part of a Christian church and a self-described Christian...

  • throughout his run for presidency, he talked about his faith...he goess to church with his wife and family most Sundays just like the 39% of Americans that go almost every Sunday and about 16% of Americans who go at least once a month giving America a more than 50% church attendance rate compared to 6% in Germany...

  • He also swore on the Bible and said "so help me God" during the swearing in ceremony which is optional for him to say....So it seems that Hitchens wants him to be an atheist even though there is no evidence to point that out...If Obama really is an atheist....then he would be the most isleading, lying, corrupt, hypocritical scumbag to walk this earth and we shouldn't trust him and we should kick him out of office...

  • Tell me caliguy: What do you think is bad with atheists? We do you say " IF Obama is atheist he should be kicked out"??.

On what way is a christian a better president than a atheist president? Tell me!

  • but nope, he believes in God, just like 90% of America...Do you have a problem with this?

  • @caliguy92 - Which God?

  • I meant to put "misleading" not isleading...my mistake...sorry

  • I would prefer it if he were an agnostic or atheist. And the church attendance in America is not 50%, there isn't even enough room for all these people. LOL

Just because people say they go to church once a week or once a month doesn't mean it's true. And I hope church attendance will drop further, both in the US and in Germany.

  • I know you would prefer him to be agnostic or an atheist but he is not...too bad for you...I personally don't care if he's an atheist or agnostic because I don't like him...I don't like McCain or Bush either...I don't Republicans or Democrates...but when I see someone I like, I'll vote for him or her...

  • You don't know whether he is an atheist or a believer. Neither do I.

  • What a REBEL!!

  • Yep! At 2:47...shoe drops...pan back above desk...at 2:52 Hitchens clearly focused on scratching foot under desk!

  • I laughed when he pointed to his pin and started talking about it, which I saw before, and then like almost immediately the Christopher Hitchens tag stretches out over the screen to cover it up. I know that wasn't intentional but it's funny. :3

  • There is a baker here in Florida that looks just like Hitchens...Accent is different though.

  • no one cares idiot

  • Which flag is Christopher Hitchens wearing in that pin?

  • The Kurdish flag

  • French. Kurdish?

  • hero!

  • Christopher is biased by his romantic notion of the War and America. The war in Iraq and Afghanistan is about one thing only. Oil and natural gas and the pipelines to deliver the goods. The war in Iraq and Afghanistan have nothing to do with Liberty or Freedom or Religion or Democracy, which is the worst form of government there is. The United States did allow the attack on 911. Christopher is in love with America and does not fully appreciate the evil forces that are in control of America.

  • Its a little naive to assume fossil fuels are the 'only' reason. Apart from the west's interest in the fuels themselves, stability in the Middle East will allow entry into the world economy, from which benefits such as technology, medicine and education can flourish. All of these are rather impossible under dictatorship and theocracy.

Set up a legitimate and reasonable form of government and their people can enjoy the same liberty and freedoms as we are able to. Everyone's a winner.

  • "Democracy is the worst form of government, except for all those other forms that have been tried from time to time."

    -Winston Churchill

  • Who cares whether Obama is religious or not?

  • What else is Obama not telling us? He pretends to be one thing but is really another. That's why it matters.

  • He'll say anything to get elected like a political whore. Chicago politics as usual.

  • 2:40 "You look British" WTF?

  • Ok, I'll answer it. If you are black, brown, or yellow, you can live in Britain but you really are not British and you sure as hell don't look it.

  • How does a British looks like?

  • Exactly that is my point.

  • GOD that whole Palestine/Israeli conflict is a joke, really the dumbest thing ever.

I have an idea, let's take ALL the people out of that area, nuke the fcking place so there's no "holy land" anymore.

Or how about this, just don't let ANYONE live there at all. They're a bunch of fcking children with their childish beliefs and I don't want them to destroy people anymore with them.

  • Many of the signatories of the US constitution were Scottish Chris ;-)

  • "Many of the signatories of the US constitution were Scottish Chris"

Meh... Scottish, English, Welsh, they all love their sheep the same.

  • hitchens has absolutely no idea about what he's talking about regarding the Catholic Church. the SSPX is not a "small fringe" it's aprox. a million people. indeed, bishop Williamson is only one bishop, not the whole society. even the jews are coming out and saying they don't have an issue anymore. why then is he still harping? he has no vested interest as an atheist....

  • In the opening comments, Hitchens admits that Obama is an Atheist and a liar pretending to be a Christian for political gain. OMG!!!

  • well duh I thought that was incredibly evident!

But could he run as an atheist?? Of course not, I think you should be more disappointed with America than the US.

  • No, Hitchens was presenting that as a good thing. He did not catch the irony of his comments because he is an Atheist himself who thinks Christians are liars and cheats.

  • Well Obama is a politician, of course he's going to lie about that.

Being an atheist is taboo in this country, I think the fact that its taboo is a bit more disappointing than Obama lying to us.

  • Who??

What the fck are you talking about?

  • Haha, it's too true. People seem to think focusing on Obamas colour and mentioning it constantly like it's a great thing is the end of racial segregation, when infact, if not a single person had thought they had to mention it, then it would have been authentic. I'm tired of hearing that he's black and it's great while he is pushing three Statutes that restrict freedom of speech... he's terrible, and it's not because of his skin colour.

  • Good interview.

  • ...the Taliban, Wahabbi idealogue Saudis, Pinochet, the last former corrupt Shah of Iran as well as Saddam Hussein himself to name bit a few 'Mafia connections. Lastly, you state that SH broke the non- proliferation agreement. Just to let you know that Iraq did not possess any nuclear weapons (WMD's) and if any biological and chemical weapons are found they will surely have an American barcode affixed to them as it was the US administartion that sold these weapons to him in the first place.

  • ...I could write in perpetuity about the many atrocites committed for 'American interests' but i will move onto your second point, concerning the invasion of neighbouring countries- does the illegal plot to overthrow democratic regimes in Venezuala, Haiti, Chile, Iran (Mossadeq) as well as the invasion of Panama, Cuba (illegal presence at Guantanamo) and Vietnam ring a bell. Thirdly you state that SH supported 'international gangsters'. The US administration has philandered and consorted with...

  • can't stand his position on iraq for a intelligent guy to support iraq war over the kurds is completely ignorant. the us has killed the kurds in the thousands ,even allowing murdering turkish troops into iraq to clean house. i think he is regretting his position in iraq, which may well have been reactionary.

  • Ironically, these guys think America has a religious problem compared to England but they forget that England will soon have a Muslim majority. They are the country with a real religious problem not the US. Add most of Europe to that too. America will be the last country standing when all is said and done.

  • Entropy56, your posts would make me laugh if it did not make me cry. The US is a cesspit of evangelical Christian fundamentalism, lobbying to enforce its doctrine on a plethora of issues with the blessing of your former President who 'had a hotline to God'.

It is also a nation which prescribes socialism for the rich (nationisation of banks) and exploitative capitlism for the poor (no free healthcare or education). The American people should'nt stand for this. Viva la revolution!!

  • In America there are 50 states - some are as large are entire countries. These states are able to create laws that provide free health care and education if they want to. You need to put this large country into perspective and realize that nationalizing every decision creates a huge lobby and legal culture that fosters resentment. Most things should be kept at the local level. There are a lot of people who believe small national government. Friendly competition between states is healthy.

  • Your country is not the 'disunited states' of America it is the United states of America. Why should there be a postcode lottery regarding healthcare where say one US citizen in New York could get it while someone in say New Mexico can't get access to a particular procedure. In the richest country in the world the inability to offer equal access of healthcare to all regardless of the patients (not clients) financial predicament is a travesty and i believe against a fundamental human right.

  • I can't sit here going down every rabbit hole you think up. Just get some good conservative literature and educate yourself.

  • Do you drive an automobile? Who pays for your insurance? Just asking...

  • you really think taking care of your life is the same as taking care for your car? Maybe your country should 'desocialise' the police and the firemen as well?

  • I'm not sure if boertush's comment if for me but I'll reply for the heck of if.

The police and fireman in America are not run by the federal government. They are run by the state and county and city. Each has their own jurisdiction. Is there a problem with that? Auto insurance is required by law but insurance companies are private businesses.

Just to spice things up a bit... did you know that prostitution is legal in America? And until recently pot smoking was also?

  • Forgot to say that we don't expect the government to pay for our porn, whores, and drugs, do we?

  • No, but I never heard of any case where you call the police, and the police says: 'you have no insurence.. go shoot the burglars yourself'. police, firedepartment, health care and education all seem a direct investement in the wellbeing and the future of your country.(unlike porn and drugs)

  • That is what I said. These things are handled on a local level. Not by the Federal Government. There is nothing stopping any state from providing free health care or education today. All they have to do is pass a law and tax the hell out of everyone.

  • Please do tell, what is nationisation? Do you mean nationalisation?

In that case, you can hardly call that socialism for the rich as that is something that very much helps the lower and middle classes as well as the rich. That is also something that socialists have pushed for too early, resulting in it stuffing them up.

You have very narrow-eyed views of the US, just like "evangelical Christian fundamentalists" have a narrow-eyed view of everyone else.

  • The sad thing about America is not it's religiousosity but it's leftist cancer.

  • ...are you seriously trying to say that there more left wingers in america than in europe?

  • Too bad Hitchens that your English Gentlemen, who signed the Declaration of Independence, will soon be a minority race in the new America you won't recognize. Your liberalism was your undoing and is now dominated by gangsters from the under class of society.

  • I enjoy listening to Hitchens but he is awfully dismissive of positions contrary to his own. The suggestion that the US could have orchestrated 9/11 attacks which he quickly dismissed, though I do not subscribe to it, does have historically presidence evidenced by the Operation Northwood documents.

  • When Hitch shares his knowledge it's a gift. An endless stream of his thought process would be a good thing in my opinion. It's impossible for him to talk too much. It occurs to me that anyone who would protest the length of his dissertations is probably not really listening in the first place. Start from the beginning and pay attention this time.

  • Interviewers should always remember when speaking to Hitchens is that a pause is not the end of an answer or an invitation to ask another question, but a vocal skip as his mind meanders from one point to the next. Infuriating as it may be, since his timing feels so wrong, they must always keep in mind that he has the breaking capacity of an oil tanker. He will keep speaking. Nothing will keep him from speaking.

  • This is a great interview.

The Hitch shows the world how intellectual he is, once again. Truly an amazing man with amazing ideas. His perspectives on religion are incredibly solid, and he has objective evidence to back up what he says. Not subjective supersticious faith, like most fools.

  • So the removal of a mass murdering dictator is not a moral reason? Im sorry, i believe that the Iraq war had many faults and that the coalition showed great incompetence but the reasons you just gave for opposing the war is pathetic. You are the one who is a supporter of colonialism (removal of kurds from kurdish towns), genocide (wmd attack on kurds and shia arabs), and exploitative capitalism (Saddam's private ownership of Iraqi oil, anti trade unionism) by apologising for the Baathist regime

  • Giles20, when you began talking about 'mass murdering dictators' i thought you were describing your former president- George 'W' Bush. For surely, rigged elections are one of the means they achieve power. The reasons given for invading Iraq were to prevent WMD's being used against the axis powers (USA/UK) not to affect regime change. It is such a hypocritical stance as with one breath you espouse democracy and with the other breath you kiss the ass of genuine dictators (the Saudis/ Musharaff)!!

  • Number one, i am not an American. Number two, George Bush maybe an idiot but he's not a dictator. Bush was answerable to the American electrate and could have been removed from office through elections. Number three, I could not care about Bush and Blair's reasons, I have my own. In fact, it was Clinton and Gore who made the policy of regime change in Iraq. Number four, when did i say i supported the Saudis and Musharaff? Quite the opposite!

  • When a president is elected that does not carry the popular vote and 'Mugabesqly' takes Florida with support from puppet judges- that defines an illegitimate election result. If the candidate then continues to run the country in spite of this it shows dictatorial malice and is hardly the actions of a democratic man, party or country. Furthermore the initial aims of invading Iraq was to prevent the formation and dispatchment of WMD's not to affect regime change. These facts are undeniable.

  • Bush may have rigged the election, however, he cannot just pass a law without it going through a vote in the house of reps. Dictators can pass laws without any of these vote. This is why Bush is not a dictator. He maybe undemocratic at times, but he is no dictator.

  • Yeah he's just a douchebag.

  • "Bush may have rigged the election" Hahahahahaha! Good one. The use of the word "may" makes you seem so open minded and objective.

He also master minded the victory of Obama, of course. Now he's control the world from his underground laboratory in his Texas bunker.

  • Again, as I said, I have my own reasons. Number 1, Saddam has used WMD on the kurds and shia's, commiting genocide. Number 2, Saddam has attacked two neighboring countries with the plan to annex them to Iraq. Number 3, Saddam supported palestinian suicide bombers and international gangsters. Number 4, Saddam has time and time again lied about his WMD and has broken the non-proliferation act. Number 5, Saddam eliminated the labour movement in Iraq and other political opponents.

  • Mr Giles20, I will deal with each of your points in turn and show the hypocrisy of your stance in one rule for one country and one rule for another, thereby displaying no moral equivalence. In your first point for justification of the invasion of Iraq being the genocide of the kurds, the US has been the perpetrator of numerous, heinous genocides in the last 50 years. These include being the ally of Pakistan when they massacred 3 million Bengalis as well as directly murdering 200000 Guatemalans..

  • I do not see any hypocracy in my part. I know of many past US imperialist crimes and harshly condem them. However, as much as i believe that certain US officials, such as Harry Kissinger, should be put under trail for crimes against humanity, it does not excuse the removal of Saddam.

I take the side of the democratic movements in Iraq, such as the PUK, who by the way are part of Socialist International and was pro intervention.

  • Luton, you're talking out of ignorance. It is possible to not receive the popular vote yet win the election. It has happened before and it happened during Bush's first election. You can argue that the system is flawed but not that Bush violated the systems parameters. Furthermore, Bush won Florida. Numerous recounts confirmed this. There were design problems in one particular county but he won the state and the judges gave the correct ruling. This coming from someone who hates Bush.

  • lol he has his shoe off 3:22

  • That's controversial .

  • what is neo-fascist in Paranoia?

  • The Hitch can't help himself, he's in France, and he's going to undress, starting with his shoe!

  • Great interviewer, you rarely see one that doesn't interrupt the interviewee nowadays on television, especially in America where I am.

  • I am more than sure all the people who signed the declaration of independence were AMERICAN. I mean... they are DECLARING that they are INDEPENDENT. Logically speaking, this is the only way I can make sense of it.

I love British people and their country but calling our founding fathers anything except American seems disingenuious.

Incidentally, go hitchens! You are king!

  • You shouldn't be so sensitive, Hitchens' assertion that the founding fathers were essentially British (or direct co-partners/products of the European/British enlightenment) is absolutely correct. George Washington fought for the British against the French in the Seven Years' war, all the signatories of the DoI are of British extraction. We were one people, separated by a divergent set of interests (Monarchy -vs- Republic). Embrace your nation's true origins and reject Gibson-esque BS.

  • Perhaps, but that is sort of a false analogy. You can't say just because George Washington fought for the Brits in the 7 Years War, that therefore makes all the Founding Fathers British. And I know that those who signed the Dol were of British Decent, but Hitchens just made it sound as if they were Britains first and foremost; not Americans.. not so much a discrete assertion that you are implying. I disagree with the comment of us being ONE people, when you kill your country men, you take sides.

  • So then who were the real Brits, the Roundheads or Cavaliers? Since they both did quite a bit of killing.

  • Im not talking about a british CIVIL WAR. I am talking about the American Revolution. Again, this would be another false analogy. You can't bring up something totally different and try and use it to explain something else. In a civil war, you are both part of the SAME country. In this revolution it was ONE country fighting against ANOTHER country. Do I have to spell it out for you? Go read a history book then drown yourself.

  • The American revolution can be seen from the British side as a civil war that didn't quite manage to overthrow the King but had the effect that part of the empire cut itself off. This viewpoint would be held by an anti monarchist in Britain for example who would have preferred the revolution to spread into main land Britain. Of course the Americans had no such plans what so ever.

  • Hitchens is not on solid ground regarding one point: 911..

Anyone who digs into the details with same sort of skeptical equipment as Hitchens applies to fundamentalist's claims about god and the bible will easily see that something more than terrorists with box-cutters were at work that day.

This does not discount everything Hitchens was saying, it only reveals him as a staunch American patriot (perhaps to avoid being pushed aside as a nut).

    .

  • Shut up.

  • Paine...the moral author of the declaration of Independence.

I wish more Americans would realise that.

  • I went to a Hitchens lecture just a few days after this recording, on 10 Feb 09 in Pullman WA.

Hitchens tells it like it is, and tells it from a position of learning, intellect, and experience that few others can match.

If he wasn't barred from running for President by our Constitution I would urge him to do so. Then again, our Constitution as seen better days, so perhaps allowances could be made.

  • Crap! I missed Hitchens in Pullman!? I had no idea...

  • Yep, WSU. It's a shame that you missed him if you're in the area. It was a lecture + book-signing (GING). It would have been better if it had been a debate with some local nutter, not that there'd be any of sufficient learning/intelligence around here. I don't think we could even scrape up 1/2 a Hannity. It was good to see/hear him for the 1st time in person. Quite a gracious fellow it seemed.

  • Yeah, I live near by...went to school at WSU. Can't believe I missed him!

Yeah, mostly farmer fundies around here...so I'm sure it wouldn't have been much of a debate.

I would have loved to have seen him in person. Oh well...some other day.

  • Is it just me, or does he look WAY older than he did last year? He's got lots of gray hair now. And he seems tired all the time.

...he also looks way more sober than he did back in '06-'07...

  • it's what critical thinking does to you

    lol

  • I am a proud Atheist American--Patriot

  • im a proud Atheist-human-revolutionary

  • that statement makes me want to have sex with you.... women capable of thinking for themselves are HAWT!!! :-)

  • I'm a proud AtheistMasturbatorWhoremongerRightWingCapitalistProReligionNon-GayRepublicanPornifiedAmericanPatriot.

  • I'm a proud atheist American

  • LOL prove to me anything your cult preaches and I'll gladly go to church with ya tomorrow but you cannot because its just a cult

The word hell comes from the pagan word Hades that comes from Sheol that means a pit that you burn dead bodies in

your cult doesn't scare me I laugh at you because you waste your only life thinking there is another you are cattle =D

  • Prove sin to me The definition of sin is a vile act against God. So to Prove I have Sinned you must have a coherent definition of God.

Please Define God Coherently to prove your point or accept your Religion is a lie and a sin on humanity and a abomination to nature, life and true happiness.

Your fire and brimstone scare tactics are like someone holding me at gunpoint trying to rob me of my sanity

  • there is no other person i could think of that can put it better than hitchens on why the world is so fucked up and is getting close to fucking itself harder up the ass. great interview - thanks for posting.

  • we are now in the most importent time in the whole human history......................never the human race hat the chance to either kill all menkind or get there differents behid and move further to the history of the universe

  • Great video !

Which Obama book is he refering to btw?

    " ludicrous , paranoid , 10th rate neo-fascist babble " - well said , im buying Mr. Hitchens book .

  • Great book by the way!

Chris is kind of an ass in person, but his intellect and writing ability are unmatched.

  • Thank you for uploading this.

  • The foremost reason to attack Irak is because America hoped freeing the people of Irak from a dictator would make America more popular in middle east, so that they could make more oil business in this hard times when peak oil is a fact. Killing for money. Oil will stay in the ground longer as they failed, to make the prizes go up, but why does it matter? Taking it up quickly will make prize go up later, as there won't be any oil at all sooner. We really have a world crisis ahead of us no matter.

  • I'll agree with the "We really have a world crisis ahead of us no matter."

But you must be crazy if you think "America hoped freeing the people of Irak from a dictator would make America more popular in middle east,"

    That's just nonsense.

  • Well, their idea was at least to gain more profitable oil contracts by being more present in the Middle East. You think they foresaw the even more American impopularity and difficulties to trade with the Middle East that now is? That they thought, oh, well, oil's going to be more difficult to buy sheep if we do this, but our intelligence service have proof of mass destruction weapon (which they had not)?
