As a kid I couldn't beat this track without using the Invincbility cheat, but as an adult a couple years ago i decided to try it again to prove to myself that i could beat Abyss fair and square, and i did(Bullseye N.). The key is patience and pacing yourself, as this excellent player demonstrates. If you go too fast at a particular spot you'll just fly right off the top track on that 1st turn, or fly off the track completely depending on where you are on the track, and crash, and probably lose.

this looks too easy compaired to the N64 version, and i never knew about most of this track, because i can hardly stay on the tp level, i'm really glad you showed us the stats for the pod, this will allow me to make a perfect racer for the opening part of the lap

For N64 I urge you to use Bullseye Navior for his balanced bod. And having a speed upgrade is helpful so you can break away when leading. Take the turn of death as slowly as you have to, just survive it and make sure Bozzie is always in view. Do that and you're fine. What makes this course so hard is that Bozzie literally goes into God mode and if you lose sight, he's gone. He can fall off the turn and be in 2nd place right on your ass by the end of the lap. The rules simply don't apply to him.

I know this isn't my video but I thought I'd also make this pointer: Do yourselves a favor, make sure Sebulba isn't anywhere near the lead in the start of last lap. You either have to be in the lead or have Bozzie in your sights if you want a good chance at winning the race. If Sebulba is there then just restart the race to save yourselves the frustration. He's either going to ram you off or light your engine on fire while you're trying to overcome "the turn of death" its a recipe for disaster!

I've beaten this track wih an unupgraded Anakin but in mirror mode on. It was hard but I made it. Because the N64 game is much more sensible than the PC version. It's harder to stay on the top track at the beginning of the race.

If i remember (sorry this was YEARRRRSSS ago when i last played this porbly over 10 years ago now) on this map when your in them cages, i remember a glitch were you did that side ways thing and put full speed along side the cage and you could fly off the cage and it would give you enought hight to get ever the buildings and to the finishing line.

And having now watched you play this video, all I can say is holy shit you are GOOD. And the game looks even better on PC than it did on the N64, with FMV cutscenes and a full music track (the N64 version only played music on the final laps).

Fffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuck this course. It kicked my ass SO MUCH as a kid. Nowadays, not so much, but you pretty mcuh are screwed if you fall to the bottom on the first lap.

The hard part is with a pod racer with ZERO upgrades it is very hard to win with Anakin. ONE MISTAKE = lose. It's easier to move his pod with no upgrades but you must literally be maxing his heat to survive.
