So my theory is Madara needed Nagato to reattach him to a real body so he could be at his best. How he survived his death I'm not sure but masked guy is MAdara for sure. Maybe by useing Mind transfering jutsu before his body died

Masked guy is MADARA, 100 % !!! I knew who was in the coffin even before this chapter released, and madara died probably after the battle with first Hokage. The white thing after he loses his arm i nbattle with Fu and Torune was clear evidence he doesn't have a body, him saying that Nagato's Edo tensei should have been used for his sake only proves that. He probably needed Nagato to awake his powers ( remember when he said at Kage's meeting that he now is only a shadow of his true self )

@uchiha525 it must be the elder son of the sage of six paths. thats how he got the rinnegan and gave it to nagato, know so much about madara because he is living in that time, knows so much about the 10 tails/sage of six paths and he wants the 10 tails sealed within him to succeed his father instead of his younger bother. if it was izunga or somethine how did he get the rinnegan? how does he know about the moon? if his plan is executed than the sage might return aswell.... i hope.
