  • Richard Crooks? He s good. But compared to Jussi? Are u putting us on? The taste is like the backside. Divided. Some may like metallic voices and some love the open air.

  • hay un problema...si quieren comparar una cancion cualquiera interpretada por jussi bjorling vayan sabiendo que es imposible comparar y mucho menos competir con quien tuvo la mas bella voz melodiosa masculina que emocionaba en cada gala.

  • The second rendition is presumably by Richard Crooks, probably the finest Americian tenor of the post war period. Although Bjorling's version is wonderful, I think that Crooks' version is interesting and very fine for different reasons. I think it is very much better than John McCormack's.

  • @99Gambo Not a popular thing to say but would agree....this guy though has a sterling voice and the American is singing out of his own tradition. Long live utube!

  • wow.

    im just.. wow.

my favorite song to play on the piano.

  • BEAUTIFUL

  • This is my favorite song in English by Jussi Bjoerling. Thanks so much for posting!

  • Very nice! Thanks for uploading this. There's a Carnegie Hall concert recording of Bjorling singing this with piano accomp. only -- slightly nicer, as this orchestral version is a bit cheesy, no? The Crooks is also delightful.

  • In my opinion the most beautiful song ever, BRAVO FOSTER!!
