I personally like using IGN and Gamespot for written reviews. Both of them are strong in different areas. IGN's reviews are usually more in depth, and their scores are somewhat lighter than Gamespot sometimes. On the other hand, Gamespot is better with pin pointing out the game's flaws, and they are not overly harsh on their scores at the same time. Gamespot gave DDR Mario Mix a 7 out of 10 because they claimed that game was too easy and had a short story mode. Which is better in your opinion?

IGN completely failed with their Prototype review, whereas Gamespot got it right. IGN made me not want to buy it, but I am very glad I did.

Is IGN or Gamespot more harsh on game reviews? I've noticed that their scores are always slightly different, but sometimes their scores are further apart. Most of the time, I think they agree with each other. I think Gamespot is more harsh than IGN overall, but I want to know if I'm right or wrong about that.

In my opinion, Gamespot has a better website, mostly because you can write your own reviews, but has horrible reviews and point out flaws that are just absurd. IGN has a pretty good website but not as good, but the reviews are more fair and overall better.

well i like ign for their ign daily fix news rumors and some stuff,on gamespot i like their today on the spot for their demo shows, psn xbl wii updates for their latest apps,and so on but even though they both rock for me hehe and that is my opinion
