I read Ian Plimer's book "Heaven and Earth: Global Warming the Missing Science" with an open mind. On the surface, it appears to be heavily referenced to external sources but these appear to be not peer-reviewed scientific publication. You will find many negative book reviews online from scientists.
Listed as an "Allied Expert" as an "Allied Expert" for a Canadian group called the "Natural Resource Stewardship Project," (NRSP) a LOBBY organization that refuses to disclose its funding sources. The NRSP is led by executive director Tom Harris and Dr. Tim Ball. An October 16, 2006 CanWest Global news article on who funds the NRSP, it states that "a confidentiality agreement doesn't allow him [Tom Harris] to say whether energy companies are funding his group."
Plimer is listed as an "Associate" of the IPA. Same as Bob -"I don't think it is the point whether you are paid by the coal or petroleum industry."-Carter.
IPA is a rightwing corporate funded think tank.
The positions: advocacy for privatisation and deregulation; attacks on the positions of unions and non-government organisations; support of assimilationist indigenous policy and refutation of the science involved with environmental issues such as climate change.
