This glitch happens a lot. Most rails in the game can be walked on (On the last part of the story, i walked onto a rail, froze there, had to reset.) There are SO many things you can get stuck on in this game. Another one is those Rachni eggs ( there is an abandoned ship with Rachni eggs scattered about) and walking into a pile of them will make your character frozen.
the only difference it does it that it changes the camera angle. the only time it affects your running speed is when running up stairs or when in combat.
He got some of this from another video. It showed you how to get out of map in the Citadel. He added onto by moving it onto the Normandy because he saved.

that has happened to me before and you end up in the docking stations, outside the normandy, except your floating in mid air and cannot move and if you look down you can see the docking station and the normandy from your floating point. it's pretty useless though.
When u get off the map there is another path to take. If you go right at the end, u can step up and then glitch out and fall from the citadel and see it become a spec on ur screen 1 min later. Great find dude!
you know where the normandy is? well i ended up right at the bottom of that place. it was well funny because i could see everything underneath of the normandy. but what was funny is that even all the way down there there were great texturing on the walls and things sticking out of them.

Its... Almost as if they wanted you to be able to get out of the map... Being able to walk on the stairs out of map, etc..... and the fact that they put so much detail even behind things like walls that you wouldnt see unless you did get out of the map.... Is there something hidden out there? an easter egg other than this? a gun maybe? or, something totally random? there should be a search team! lol.
i tried this to, but my guy just ran in darkness, with his weapon out but no weapon, and i saw kaiden's icon, he was like a tiny dot below, when i looked up my game crashed lol

Reminds me of a glitch in oblivion, only that one was so easy to fall into that it stopped being cool the tenth time you drowned in a ruin. Thanks for posting this!
At 2:22 if you drop off the railing and go under the bridge, keep walking around under there, eventually you fall off and a load occurs and you find yourself standing on a landing bay high above the normandy, also gives you a good view of city because you can almost walk to the very end, you seemed to get stopped by the white beam that scans ship coming and going.
Looking at it again, the Normandy is in bay 3, the bay you glitch to is bay 1, oddly, the center platform of bay 1 cannot be seen from bay 3, I wonder why they bothered to render it?
unfortenetley this game is full of unraveled bugs...i got stuck in the rail that right next to the galaxy map and i got out and walk on the galaxy map...its like a hill and the only way to get out was to talk to preasley cause hes the only person within arms length that has a interactive speech
I got out of the Galaxy Map and it was taking forever to load, so I faced the rail and held up on the joystick. When it finished loading I was walking in that area. Another way to get out is to open the Galaxy Map again.
Nice, but too much work for me... I'd rather play then glitching, well an easy glitch is okay but running through the whole citadel... doing the Keepers Side mission was anoying and this is not something id do...
haha weirdy o_O this also works on the noveria docking bay just keep runnuing up against any wall once u get up the wall roam freely if u go to the far right from the normanddy the game loads u outside u either die or game freeze

*spoiler* no its in the game on the last part were you get out of the elvator that breaks while trying to get to the reaper. you can reconize it because the elevator shaft is near it.

When you fall into the water, you basiclly just keep on going through for about 10 seconds, then you reach an unknown area, which for me, unlocked a secret conversation between Tali and Wrex, because I had them with me.
The same kind of loading thing happened to me on Ilos, but instead of being on top of anything cool, I was stuck in an annoying Box of Death I couldn't move, so I had to start with a save that was hours before. (Autosave was off)
neat. It's sad that there are a whole bunch of glitches like this in such an awesome game like Mass Effect, but I wouldn't be suprised if it was on purpose.
for the powers: you mean biotics? just hold down rb and press A on whatever power you want to use
To switch characters in-game you have an option to change characters whenever you leave your ship, or if you want to change profiles go to the "load" screen and press Y (or something else, I forget) and it should show all the profiles you've made.
heh i learned a lot more playing the game, the reason why i don't have biotics because i was a soldier XD. and what i mean is, know how you play as shepard? how do you change it so you play as someone els?
you can only be a guy or girl, and your last name HAS to end with Shepard.... pretty lam huh, but its because they call you shepard the whole game. And you can only switch teammates, you cant play as them.
yea, but make sure you make a two saves, because if one messes up and you dont have another one IT SUCKS. I found this glitch out the hard way, I had been to EVERY planet except the last one, and f#cked up.
wel i went exploring and i found my way underneath the map....and i let it run will the extire level was on my screen, and then game froze :)
F.Y.I. dont fall into the water, it wont lead to anything good
also, if u ever get stuck at the edge of a wall, walk way, or anything and will not let u move, try and talk to kaidan or anyone else but ashley. i dunno y but if u talk to kaidan and move the movement stick to him u will be able to move out of ur "stuck"
yea if you fall out ur game will freeze, your best bet is to just reload, also, if you get stuck just crouch and try to walk away, that normally helps.
cool. glad to help. Ive tried to fall out of the map and get to one of those doors on the side (like the lower map) but I cant run over in time.... mess around with it and if you can get anything post it up or let me know :)

you can only be a guy or girl, and your last name HAS to end with Shepard.... pretty lam huh, but its because they call you shepard the whole game. And you can only switch teammates, you cant play as them.

yea, but make sure you make a two saves, because if one messes up and you dont have another one IT SUCKS. I found this glitch out the hard way, I had been to EVERY planet except the last one, and f#cked up.

wel i went exploring and i found my way underneath the map....and i let it run will the extire level was on my screen, and then game froze :)
F.Y.I. dont fall into the water, it wont lead to anything good
also, if u ever get stuck at the edge of a wall, walk way, or anything and will not let u move, try and talk to kaidan or anyone else but ashley. i dunno y but if u talk to kaidan and move the movement stick to him u will be able to move out of ur "stuck"

yea if you fall out ur game will freeze, your best bet is to just reload, also, if you get stuck just crouch and try to walk away, that normally helps.

cool. glad to help. Ive tried to fall out of the map and get to one of those doors on the side (like the lower map) but I cant run over in time.... mess around with it and if you can get anything post it up or let me know :)

thats pretty cool, I havent experimented with saving outside other maps so there probaly is a lot more crazier stuff than this.
