  • oh yes, we DO have things to learn from them

  • ...I had speak with this man... he's really one of the last...

  • 1:09 nice ride lol.

  • @slavicsk777

in italy it is very common among farmers. we call it 'ape'. very useful and simple

  • What a wonderful film.

Every time I watch it, I love it even more.

Anyone who enjoys this would probably like the film, The Dirt on Farmer John.

  • wonderful!!

I wish everyone could watch and learn with this man.

don't get me wrong, I'm a "city boy" with a degree in engineering, I have everything to make it in the big city.

but we mustn't forget where we came from and what's our role here on earth.

this man has learnt to respect and listen, sense the need of an equilibrium...

I'm not saying we all must live like this, but we have to take precautions, our way of living is not sustainable.

  • what is the name of the song??

  • @hahayourcoool

    Hello!

The music is composed by Davide Alivernini, a young producer and composer from Rome, Italy

It will be soon available for download, in the meanwhile you can have a listen to some of his music on I-Tunes

  • He doesn't have a family? :[

  • I absolutely loved this short, and the old man. I wish I could listen to him talk more. I'm sure he has so many things to share and teach and talk about.

  • nice car grandpa

  • Definitely well made except for the music which was just awkward.

  • This is what LIFE is all about. This blessed man is one with nature and the universe. His wisdom is from respect and observation of nature. .Every one of us can take a lesson from this man. We need to unclutter our lives and respect everything and everyone around us.Thank you for sharing your wisdom.

  • Wisdom is slowly disapearing from the face of the earth and we, young ones, are witnessing it. that wise man is indeed one of the last.

We already have everything we need. this world gave us so much and yet, we want more. and that, will be our destruction. in that, i believe. and i think the wise old man would agree with me.

  • Keeping life simple...

    Works for me!

  • mm those cherries look so good

  • beautiful

  • In small things you can find the perfection of the Universal Mind!!!

  • This guy is like the Delai Lama of Italy... very powerful.. Genius...

I just wish one thing... That all people could see and understand the world like he does..

  • Beautiful! Bravo! I could listen to this man for hours!

  • I wish i could live like that ^__^

  • grande Mauro

  • Can you please tell me where this wise man is located, for I would very much like to visit with him and see his beautiful farm.

  • @adelarius Italy, don't know where exactly though :/ I think that kind of information would be classified or what not :/

  • All I can say is EVERYONE needs to see this video and learn from his wisdom. All the answers to life are here

  • Great video...to bad someone missed the like button. :O

  • So glad I watched this. Beautiful

  • How.... How can someone dislike this??? This guy tells his life story, hardships, and what it's like being him. To who ever disliked this, you sir have no respect for the people who keep this world running...

  • Great words mate good on ya!

  • beautiful stuff

I smiled when he said "cuando l'americani hann invas... hanno liberato l'Italia"

the honesty of it all is very powerfull indeed

  • Beautiful philosophy ... Beautiful human being. Thank you.

  • great person, long live kind sir!!!!

  • Do what You LOVE, I do I LOVE It Too! Guidence People

  • The lost of our eco system brought to you by Monsanto. We are screwed.

  • @hgdenos Ah but we are not. Technology is growing at a huge exponential rate, and in 50 or so years, we will be transferring our consciousnesses into singular computers that work beyond our current capability of understanding, all these computers will be help in a vault of nearly indestructible polycarbonate, our bodies will be disposed of, and earth up top, now down to a couple billion people, will get to prosper while we exist in a state of consciousness where we get to be as happy as we want

  • @Ichvyenichalster Good luck with polycarbonate state !!!

  • @hgdenos Did you hear about Bill Gates and Monsanto? Pretty interesting. Look up Haiti on Google. I totally get where you are going with this. I so agree with you :) Long live the truth!

  • This was great. highly recommended.

  • If he uploaded this video on vidcano.com, I would download it and BUY it. The man deserves it!

  • Sir, you moved the world. Well, at least 76,512 anyway. I hope I can live this kind of life style in the future.

  • One of the most moving 11 minutes anybody could watch...

  • This is the epitome of rural life in Sicily and Italy- all you care about is working hard, eating the best food on Earth with your family, and God. This is the good life. I'm proud to have this heritage. And one day, God willing, I will retire somewhere in Sicily just like this.

  • beautiful story, loved it.

  • This is a very lovely movie.. your Dad is a good guy

  • The land I love.... I pray I will make it back... time passes and life takes us down roads that don't lead us home.... so thanks to Paul Zinder and truth spoken by a wise farmer my soul has been awakened... Sending a hug to the farmer...

  • wise words

  • i just hope that when I'm his age i have the same understanding of life and connection to the earth this man has.

  • This is just beautiful...........tells you about the good and simple things in life that is missing from the so called modern society..............I wish God grant this old man a good healthy long life...............and great work Paul.....keep it up.....

  • Grande Mauro! tu ha' proprio ragione!!!

  • What an example of a great person this man is! I am stunned for his simplicity. If everyone lived like this man the world would be in peace. I think God is very well pleased with him. God bless him.

  • When he said, "It is clear there is something terrible happening", I felt so sad for all of us. This would be great for Earth day discussions in the classroom...What a beautiful soul!

  • i wish this man live for a 100 years or there are atleast 10 people like him in this world... the world will be a better place!!

  • Thank you- this is lovely. Gardening and being close to the land is my life as well.

  • Very touching and powerful.

  • What a wonderful person. I admire this man for his love of God and nature. I hope more and more of this kind of man would be born.

  • I wish that people would go back to the old farming days (no industrial plants age)

  • I cry every day i have to work.......i am so nvus, 7 more weeks and i can do and hopefuly live like him......................thank you for the gift.

  • Cool dude.

  • once upon a time...a long long time ago...humans lived as one with nature...this is their story

  • In the ways of the modern world now, I would agree with fishegg below. Sometimes its just not the way man has chosen anymore..pros and cons, and yes we will live with the circumstances. Right now the ipad is the new craze for example. illustrates were mans mind in material needs and likes really exist. It is saddening and true. But yet when I go see my family in the country, how refreshing and clean the air and beautiful it is. And yes. no reception sometimes on my cell is a good day.

  • what a very touching video! reminds me of my grandfathers (from both my mum and dad's side) when they were still alive!

  • this is cool :D

  • Humanity is losing sight unfortunately!

    Selam

  • This old man must think we all have several acres to plant things. Here were I live you need a boatload of money to have a couple acres. or if you DO live out in the country you ain't gonna find no work, and you definately ain't gonna make enough potatoes to pay the mortgage the light bill the water etc etc. To sum it up...It just ain't that easy old man.

  • @TheFishegg

There is definitely less farmland in Italy than where u live... the U.S. You don't have to be rich to own several acres of land. This video highlights what is wrong with the system we've made. We can only dream of living like this man, because all the food is grown by 2% of the population in America. Because of our culture, few ppl want to live like this. People's lives would be better if we were raised the way this man was; if they had a better outlook of what's really important.

  • i wish it was more in style i live in the middle of a pretty big city and i hate not having nature around id give away everything i have for a portion of what he has.

  • He reminds me of my grandmother hehe =)

I think us young people dn't really take time to appreciate mother nature

    as the elders do anymore.

  • my grandfather is 82 years old and he still cultivates the land everyday! I wan't to have that sort of energy when (and if) I get that age

  • man he's good =)

  • what a grand old man

  • interesting...

  • my own grandfather and others from his generation i see in this man and this video. where are we headed? i thought it was just in the U.S. that we were losing touch with the human element and our deep earthly origins. what will we be when all the world becomes iron and concrete?

  • awesome...just awesome... I just want to help him out. It seems lonely to just be there by yourself. I mean, it looks like its just him and his young granddaughter...

  • Life is worth living, when you love what you do in it=D

  • Life is worth living, when you love what you do in it=D

  • Watching this stoned me.

  • He is so smart and wise :D

  • People like Mauro are the people who makes a great country!

We have to admire people like him, those people are the ones who make a great country and is a shame that every years is less people like him...

  • absolutely beautiful. This old man shows a passion that is long forgotten by 99% of the world. If humanity had 1% of the passion he has then the world would be a much better place.

  • this is a very deep life he lives, he is rich in my eyes, i wish i had that!

  • Holy shit he's got poppy plants on that farm!

  • I sincerely hope that I love whatever job I choose to take as much as this man. Life will be so much more rewarding. :]

  • Thanks for sharing.

  • What a beautiful story. Bella!

  • i agree with this old man. In the near future, I will do what he did, I will focus on farming and forget the crap of living in a complicated environment

  • Very powerful. Very beautiful.

  • Monsanto killed the grass hoppers. One day Monsanto will have killed us all.

  • definitly one of the last, he has the most respect for the simple things in life.

  • emozionante questo video a ragione

  • Bravo, ti abbraccio !!!

  • isn't that Tuco's uncle from Breaking Bad?

  • That was a beautiful take on life. I wish everyone had that kind of view and resolve. Heck, I could use a similar resolve myself.

  • those green grasshoppers are gone, used to be hundreds of em when i was a kid but not anymore.....they are simply gone, i can hear one or two ones in a while, while it used to be a real racket out in the grass x').....i wounder why they are going?
