@MsValdur in my opinion.....BF3 likes to throw a lot of bloom at your eyes...and call its graphics top notch. They are good, certainly better than MW3...err 2...but you need a pretty hefty machine to be able to run arma games on full settings. Mainly because the world is massive and it takes a lot to draw a long distance.
The view distance is amazing, it's truly wonderful. Congratz. I must complain a little about the tree which look bad as well as the water but the game overall look amazing.

And if you consider that I could run ArmA II on low-medium without patches (that fix a lot talking about hardware demanding) with an Intel Core Dual CPU 2Ghz (very old dual core stuff) with 2Gb of RAM with a Radeon HD 5750 then you'll realise that an I5 2500k is perfect. Looking forward to it... Damn every other game looks like shit compared to this(better to not mention CoD and even BF3) I'm glad it's not main stream

@7th75thCallaghan BF3 is not a "kiddy shooter", its a game, it's designed to be fun and playable. ArmA basically simulates patrolling because you rarely encounter enemies, and when you do, they kill from a mile away with an akm, and that's not very fun. However, ArmA is amazingly deeper than BF3 or whatever because of it's content and scale.But still, if you're going to make a milsim that is supposed to be playable, go in the direction Red Orchestra 2 seems to be going.

@7th75thCallaghan i have had Arma 2 for a pretty long time, and when i mean getting killed by an enemy from a mile away, i mean very far away, you barely know what hit you sometimes, but there are very good mods that help out a bit. Also, you cant say your always seeing enemies, they can be very hard to find, and in squads unless the mission you play is custom made. (editor is amazing ill admit) as for multiplayer, people can be very useful in terms of teamwork(headset almost needed though)
@7th75thCallaghan another thing, like i said, the BF series is supposed to be fun and something to kill time, a true videoGAME, not videowork. But compared just to the Arma 3 trailers, BF is amazingly shallow, it's like a public pool vs the ocean. BF might be "clean", and welcoming of everyone, but it's limited, while arma is huge and has lots more to offer, but isn't very "clean" and can be a pain in the ass in many places. RedOrchestra2 and stuff are like lakes, fun but not shallow.
@siggibiggy they aren't jumping aroun d like balloons, it just seems not right to you because it seems like these boxes are light, the fact is if you had enough momentum, this is how the boxes would react, as long as the metal didn't have stress characteristics which allowed it to store and absorb energy... but how can you expect that? it's a video game... these are probably the best physics are going to be for a while...
Running mechanics for this game.. The one thing i have always hated from OFP1 to ARMA2 still look jagged. Its the only thing they have consistently not improved which pisses me off. That and sound quality.

@killerrj8 well for starters i live in england, so the cost of things are prob more than where u live, second that money didnt just go on a tower, it was also spent on 3 22inch monitors and a 32inch 3D monitor, also its not just built for gaming, me and my girlfriend work from home and needed alot more other stuff for our comp

Game looks fantastic, but damn that head bob is more annoying than it is unrealistic. I have run through hostile environments under fire and never found my head to be bouncing around and distorting my vision like this....

@7th75thCallaghan BF3 is not a "kiddy shooter", its a game, it's designed to be fun and playable. ArmA basically simulates patrolling because you rarely encounter enemies, and when you do, they kill from a mile away with an akm, and that's not very fun. However, ArmA is amazingly deeper than BF3 or whatever because of it's content and scale.But still, if you're going to make a milsim that is supposed to be playable, go in the direction Red Orchestra 2 seems to be going.

@7th75thCallaghan i have had Arma 2 for a pretty long time, and when i mean getting killed by an enemy from a mile away, i mean very far away, you barely know what hit you sometimes, but there are very good mods that help out a bit. Also, you cant say your always seeing enemies, they can be very hard to find, and in squads unless the mission you play is custom made. (editor is amazing ill admit) as for multiplayer, people can be very useful in terms of teamwork(headset almost needed though)

@7th75thCallaghan another thing, like i said, the BF series is supposed to be fun and something to kill time, a true videoGAME, not videowork. But compared just to the Arma 3 trailers, BF is amazingly shallow, it's like a public pool vs the ocean. BF might be "clean", and welcoming of everyone, but it's limited, while arma is huge and has lots more to offer, but isn't very "clean" and can be a pain in the ass in many places. RedOrchestra2 and stuff are like lakes, fun but not shallow.

@siggibiggy they aren't jumping aroun d like balloons, it just seems not right to you because it seems like these boxes are light, the fact is if you had enough momentum, this is how the boxes would react, as long as the metal didn't have stress characteristics which allowed it to store and absorb energy... but how can you expect that? it's a video game... these are probably the best physics are going to be for a while...

Running mechanics for this game.. The one thing i have always hated from OFP1 to ARMA2 still look jagged. Its the only thing they have consistently not improved which pisses me off. That and sound quality.

@killerrj8 well for starters i live in england, so the cost of things are prob more than where u live, second that money didnt just go on a tower, it was also spent on 3 22inch monitors and a 32inch 3D monitor, also its not just built for gaming, me and my girlfriend work from home and needed alot more other stuff for our comp
