This is an entertaining video indeed. Unfortunately Charlie did NOT cycle that distance alone, he was backed up by a film crew and a luxury tour bus. I was holidaying in Exmouth when I met Charlie and can recall him pulling up in the bus getting out a simply placing the bike next to him. He is a great guy but clearly to portly to be travelling these claimed distances.
It had been ridden in the rain for at least 8 wet hours, a few more wont hurt it. But will probably get a proper cover next time. It will double up as a survival blanket.
I am really liking these bikes. I own a Surly Crosscheck. A Big Dummy may be my next investment.
