  • dude, you realize that you just said 'Continence' right?

  • I ENTERED THE NUMBER AND NO RESULTS CAME UP, I DOUBLE CHECKED WITH ANOTHER ITEM AND A RESULT DID SEARCH UP SO I KNOW I WAS TYPING IN THE CORRECT BOX,IS THIS ONLY AVAILABLE IN THE USA?

  • Except it ISN'T ready-boost compatible.

    Hence the warning at 2:32

  • Read what it says it was not warning.

  • can i use it as boot. can i install xp in it and boot it from that ssd?

  • he has the same laptop as me !!!!!!! XD :) LOL

  • more secure?

  • Of course.

Your data will be more secure, because the harddisk doesn't have moving parts and thus it doesn't break (as quickly). Thus, your data is more secure.

  • Safe isn't the same as secure especially when talking about computers.

  • Eh. Yes it is, actually. Also when you're talking about computers o.O...

Define "Secure" and "Safe" then. They are the same, but I'd like to see your definition.

  • Secure relates to security as in preventing unauthorized access to resources or data.

Safe relates to redundancy as in preventing downtime due to failures.

Now I expect that you'll want the last word, so make it a good one because I'm done.

  • It's not my intention to have the last word. I don't see why you seem angry. I don't want to be right. In fact, I'd rather be proven wrong and learn. Just do it well!

I see where you're coming from! It is the slight difference of the meaning of the words, but the intention is the same, which is to prevent harm. Which word to use depends on the context.

Will you agree however, that even though the words are (perhaps incorrectly) used interchangeably, that they do get the point across?

  • true.

  • transfer rate on this thing is worse than

Sandisk Extreme Iii 3 SD. -_-

  • does this SSD work for macbook anyone? please reply

  • Your macbook sucks ass, you should throw it away and get a real Laptop.

  • theres nothing wrong with Macbooks

  • Yeah Okay Mr. Overheats and oh shit I need a new keypad, oh and dont get me started on the dammit this is my 3rd hard drive in 4 months...

  • readyboost is kinda in xp too, but its more complicated to do.

  • It said RIGHT on the screen, "this device does not have the characteristics to run readyboost" wutta fag...

  • What a fucking wanker!!! Either he can't read or he got paid to lie. He deserves to get bashed over the head with that piece of shit vista laptop.

  • Wish I saw this before I bought this Lexar crap! Plugged it in and.... NOTHING! Is NOT COMPATIBLE WITH READYBOOST

  • MY FAVORITE REVEWER. and for RSX1304 there's already 256GB SSD out there!! veeery expensive!

  • it dont fucking work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I want to smash this horrible little man's face in with a crowbar for some reason...

  • FAKE FAKE FAKE it doesent work with readyboost, got out and baught 1 put it in and it said this device doesent have the required performance at 2:22 you can see the readyboost screen saying exactly what i describrd GOD i fuking payed 19 euros for NOTHING!

  • this guy is right. but it's at 2:19

  • ssd disks can be fast, but this one NOT faster than a regular USB stick, since it interfaces with the USB 2.0 host instead of PCI-Express x1.

  • no its becuase it made for the write speed of a usb drive

the fast ones are 500 to 1,400 they are in sata

  • @staticxmako

I'd hadte to knock you down, but that's wrong.

And the fastest SSDs are PCI-e. From Fusion-IO "ioDrive", and a new from Micron. Both are videos of here on youtube.

Talking about readyboost, i have yet to see a drive that DOES have enough stats to be accepted for readyboost.

And no drive whatsoever could be good enough to speed up my PC with readyboost, sine i already have SSDs in raid-0 XD

  • Will Solid State Drives be faster than the conventional ones? Can I install a OS on it and run it?

  • Yes solid state can run an OS, SSDs will soon replace HDD as the main storage device because SSD are upto 400mbps while Sata2 drives only run at 300mbps, the only problem is there expencive.

  • how long till prices come down ?

  • prob 1 year

well 1 year to be as cheap as hdd now

  • thank you, thats good to know, any idea how much space these ssds can hold ? for example, can they outdo HDDs when it comes to space ?

  • ive only seen ssd have max 64GB mayb later on it will be more

  • @dragulonline hard disk drives run at 60-155mb/s?

  • @rowanlewisuk that's IDE drives... Sata drive are faster

  • @dragulonline Ill take your word for it. (I was refering to read speed btw)

  • is this a informatve ? or a sales pitch?

  • both

    what? that's all you get!

  • Okay I unplugged it and plugged it back in, and it did offer the menu to select Readyboost and I chose 4 gigs of my 8 gig SSD. After rebooting a few times while uninstalling and installing other programs not related to this, I noticed that over time the PC does in fact boot and perform faster...

  • Why is he talking like he's on cocaine or something? I bought one but when I put it in it did not pop up and ask me if I wanted to use it for Readyboost with Vista.

  • YESSS just what i need.

    ordering atm

  • You can't use this for Readyboost. It clearly says it @ 2:22.

  • cool!

  • cool!
