tekken is a great game because if you play like shit you lose no last minute ultras to save you. Also god bless aris i feel the same way about the tekken (well almost) they either need to make a new fighter with a small cast or go balls out and limit the tekken cast and create something almost from scratch
I do love Tekken, since it was my first fighting game, and I'm decent at it too. Thing is 3D fighting games in general bore me easily. Difficulty or challenge never stopped me learning good games so that was never a problem, the enjoyment just isn't there for me.

Tekken appeals to the ladies. Lots of gurls are hopping on Tekken 6 and Tekken Tag 2. So the appeal factor is already there. Tekken isn't "hard" there's just WAY too many moves and frame data to remember. Look at JustframeJames dude has to bring a book to the tournament to remind himself, its ridiculous. SSFIV may have shortcuts but at least balanced compared to these so-called "harder" games, especially 3rd strike.

i can honestly say I have played tekken more seriously since tekken 5DR and im good at it now but still have much to learn. there is truth in the 2 tekken sequel rule. I probably wont be amazing at it until the next one comes out.
