What a brilliant guitarist he was! - RIP Norman Barratt - may he playing & singing alongside Larry Norman & Keith Green - What a great band that would be!!!!!
I played bass with The Mighty Flyers in 1976. Norman played with us that year as well. I will never ever forget the unique sound of his axe. Earlstown, who would have thought it could produce such a brilliant guy. I have a master of a ...Flyers concert with Norman doing some brill solos. It is on metal cassette, so pretty good sound, and remastered. Maybe one day I will convert it to mp3 and share it
Hi everione! I need a little help from you. I'm looking for lyrics of A ballad of a peaceful man and I just can't find them... If anyone knows the lyrics I would be very thankful....
I love this guy like a brother. . . .Roadied for him all over this fine country in the 70's, and remained friends since. When his fingers touch the neck of a guitar, something HOLY happens. I'm not religious, but I do believe Norman has a gift to share with us.
Not that have stood the test of time, if however you come across any footage or bootleg live gig stuff im sure dad would love to have a copy, Cheers mate
What a solo!!!! Used to be a big Barratt Band fan so finding this has been pure joy.His playing is quite stunning - who needs Lukather!Awesome job, Norman. Miss the 335 tho. Anyone got any clips of him playing "Decender"?
Well well, got this sudden thought, wonder what Norman is up to? Good old google led me here. Wowee, yes, it is I, who once played bass with you in the Mighty Flyers. In my estimation, Norman goes alongside the late, great Terry Kath, and you can't get much better than that.
CLASS!!!! cheers for those guitars Norm! If only i could play em... Oh well another 2 Custom Strats towards my ever increasing collection that were owned and played by the LEGEND himself NORMAN BARRAT....cheers and good health to ya mate.... Pove!

Sad to learn Norman has passed. I never had the joy of hearing him live, but his playing on "The Prize" was killer.

Just to say I saw your dad play in Manchester with the Alwyn Wall Band as support to Larry Norman. It was a life changing experience.
The last night of the tour, they ended up playing from sheet music strewn all over the stage. Wonderful stuff.
