Windage and Elevation Adjustment TIps

Ok so I sighted my 30-06 in at 100 yards but then at 50 yards it's no where near the bulls eye any suggestions? Please

I'm not understanding why it matters which one you do first. You still need the inner tube to end up in the same spot no matter which knob you adjust first. If you don't have enough "throw" to get there, it won't matter where you start. Can someone elaborate?

@rossmetacraft i agree with you this info in the vid is good info BUT it makes no difference which you alter first as the reticle to scope body relationship will be at the same point in the end result which ever one you move first

the only place where this info could effect is on lower end scopes

the inner scope tube is called the erector tube and it doesn't move the whole erector tube it just puts it at an angle

@Randomex8 Windage = Left or Right movement. Elevation = Up or Down Movement.

@RobWarrens this makes no difference to your scope , but this does show why you need to get a pretty good alignment by bore scopeeing your sight to retain more adjustemnt thats a vailable
