Would love to know where you got a p.d .for $40.00, that is an excellent price. You will find that they are the best pet in the world. I had three and would take 3 more in a heartbeat. Enjoy you sweet little baby, your life will never be the same. Thanks for sharing
@PrairieDogMom He was captive bred, I bought him in october well out of season for prairie dogs, and he was still little. He's been an amazing pet so far, and this season we wound up getting two more prairie dog pups (they did go for $140 each) for his company. He gets miffed at them a lot, but they won't leave him alone either, lol. All three already come to me when called and crave attention constantly from us.
he's like this with EVERYONE!! He's still young though. He was born in September 2009 and this was shot January.
I caught him earlier today craving attention from my 4 year old autistic son, and he was giving him all kinds of love and cuddles! Whenever family comes over, he tries climbing up on the couch to be with THEM, too! He also loves my man, so yeah, everyone's fair game for him.
@Deseonfire He cost me $40, but normally they run around $100-$200 each. I regret not getting more than one, but I have to wait until next spring for there to be more. He was captive bred, but came from a pet store specializing in exotics and with a USDA license for them. He's REALLY late in the season compared to wild-caught ones.
The highest price is actaully not bad for a captive bred. What kind of care does he need? Does he live in a cage. The pet shop here just sells common domestic animals, and some exotic fish. He looks like a very friendly animal, I never knew before that they could be pets.
I wish we can have cool animals in California
