  • Best lesson ever :)

  • You didnt help us. You told us to sing with our diaphragm but didnt tell us how.

  • @OmgitsAntonio I know, I do that all the time when I'm singing, because basically flexing your abs indicates yourself. Letting yu know that your singing from your stomach

  • Thanks I kinda understand

  • I did it so easy

  • Fuck it! its too hard!! D"""X I'm gonna go commit suicide.

  • @freakmaxaii116 let's do it together..haha!

  • you and your diaphragm

  • honestly the best way to sing from your diaphragm is to do what i think is the best way. Which would be flexing your stomach, and Abs. By doing this, your forcing the air to come from the bottom of your diaphragm through your throat. Just what helped me looking at singing/screaming videos.

  • how to sing like Adam Lambert?

  • I still need practice but this is not working

  • Cool thanks

  • MAYBE THIS MIGHT HELP! In order to sing from your diaphragm you need to learn how to breathe from your diaphragm! Breathing from your diaphragm is basically normal breathing! Just breathe normally and your breathing from your diaphragm.. And then you just add the voice! haha

  • Lolz.. I dont know how to breath anymore!!!

  • @basti0780

Haaaaaaaa!!!!!! ur funny, yeah i dont know anymore breathings breathing to me

  • I still don't get how you sing from the stomach can you please tell us how to sing from there?

  • @lavi8 Open your mouth and inhale and exhale slowly without making any sound and direct the air to the roof of your mouth. Boom! You should be using the diaphram already.

  • she tells u want to do but doesn't explain HOW!?!?!!? HOW?!!?!?!?

  • you were still singing from your neck

  • Your 'diaphragm singing' example still has a significant amount of breath management using the vocal cords. This is clearly evident when you sing 'up above the world', with a glottal stop on 'up'. That is an example of stopping the air flow by pressing your vocal cords together, ie controlling air flow in the throat and not with the diaphragm. Also, one cannot feel the diaphragm moving, so suggesting that singers 'feel the movement' doesn't make any sense.

  • Thank you! Helpful..

  • Do I have to learn how to breathe again?

  • @XXshonshon41XX lmaoooo

  • it worked thanks!

  • Hey will u check out me singing and tell me what u think

  • It just sounds like you did it all nasal and then you just lowered your voice and opened your throat

  • Question: when I sing sound like a child and I hit high/low notes easily? do I sing with throat or diaphragm? When I sing sound like an adult little like child sound but more deeper sound than the first, but can't hit high notes, but easily hit low notes? Do i sing with throat or diaphragm?

    Thank!

  • ur only telling us how we know if we're singing with our diaphragm or our throat but now how to sing with our diaphragm.

  • AAAHHHH I CANT SING FOR CRAP

  • This video has singlehandedly just changed my entire life, May God bless you So much!!!! I have been trying to figure out why sometimes people say I can sing and other times they are like, um yea i dont know if you should quit your day job, lol Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i just need to learn light lyrics i can do death growls and screams :D so all i have to learn is better lights vocals

  • sadly i already knew how to sing from it.. :< but it still does nto help my preformance

  • how do u do that

  • can we do private lessons

  • "Twinkle, twinkle little star, star, how I wonder what you are," xDDD

  • Does she own any other clothing items?

  • Comment removed

  • @SuperGabbyGurl You have to have the natural gift to sing...she can only help you with skills needed to do it properly so that you want damage your throat or vocal chords.

  • its somewhat helpful! thanks

  • The ad actually put me in a better mood. MAJOR MEDICAL BOOOOOOY YEAHHH!

  • i need to sing BETTER!!!!!

  • It was extremely obvious how she made the throat singing sound nasal and annoying on purpose. Don't tell me she actually sings like that?

  • @MrDellcomputers EVERYONE sings like that when they use their throat. I sounds just as terrible as her when I do that, but it sounds SO MUCH better when I use my diaphragm :)

  • @aflague671 No problem. i don't want people to get hurt. if you follow this chick's instructions, everyone loses. <3 Happy singing, dude. Any more questions, go ahead and ask. :]

  • you're singing aspirate dude, that's wrong too. >_< Don't give lessons if you can't do it right.

  • STOP CHOKING YOURSELF U CAN DIE FROM THAT

  • THROAT ACTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! XD

  • hey, i want to view all these singing videos one by one in the right order... how do i do that? i can't even see a full list of videos when i go to the channel page

  • They should just call it 'singing without using your throat' because you already use your diaphragm when you talk so its pointless to say to use it when you sing.

  • It is just like when I scream when I'm truly terrified, it comes from my stomach

  • thumbs up if you heard this song on dead space and get some unease from it

  • How do u sing from the stomach area

  • thanks

  • i want your singing voice!!!!

  • I tried and I still can't use stupid diaphragm! It's very frusterating. I don't think I'm using it cause my throat still hurts even using your techniques!!

  • wow thanks your the best video that helps

  • throat action lol

  • @emersonjenny I know I am just immature and sexist, but I like this fox talking about "throat action" too.

  • Corney

  • this actually worked lol i thought it was all bs at first but i tried it and it does

  • this isn't really helping ^^; it seems like she made the diaphragm example just better sounding on purpose. and made the throat one sound annoying.

  • @ancafeninja Actually my voice sounds worse when i sing with my throat, it sounds all annoying.

  • @ancafeninja not really dude I tried it, it really sounds like that if you're pushing with your throat :)

  • @ancafeninja It sounds so stupid because of how easy it was to understand huh ? And you still wondering why you cant sing ? Well follow the basics and stop stressing yourself and maybe you will be able to sing one day lol

  • @ancafeninja she totally did. And if you notice, the throat one sort of sounded like she was singing it nasally.

  • @ancafeninja Yea wht I am Thinking man

  • @ancafeninja I agree. It sounds like she purposefully sings with her nose, rather than with her throat haha.

  • Shut up smart ass. She is trying to teach you something !!!

  • I though they were gonna close up on her breasts o_O

  • i kinda works...

  • I think you put a little less effort and didnt open your mouth wide like you did for the diaphragm example

  • twinkle twinkle star xD

  • hahaha cbeadles463 soo funny! great work thanks im geting this, i was completley singing with my throat =D

  • Even close up, I don't see anything.

  • haha, throat action.

  • Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Bat,

How I wonder what you're at:

Up above the world you fly

Like a tea tray in the sky.

  • @MsKittyKatx3 OMFG I JUST WATCHED THAT!!!!

  • lol I like the closeup of her stomach

  • Lol diaphragm is to support the sound thats coming out. The vocal chords are the only things that create sound but singing with the diaphragm means to support your sound so u dont strain ur voice.

  • Waww I'm new at singing and creating a album, I get it, Ima be practicing mote.

  • i think this lady likes the sound of her own voice...and the song twinkle twinkle.

  • @Nailsdewed

You can't "sing from the stomach," but you do need to learn to breathe properly so that air can go through the cords properly. Don't pay any attention to this person. She only has 1/3 of the picture.

  • She doesn't even explain what the diaphragm is. She is pointing to her abdominal muscles (which should relax & stretch out when you inhale properly). The diaphragm is a muscle parallel to the ground, not perpendicular to it. It pushes visceral organs down and out with proper inhalation. She doesn't know what she's talking about. The two types of singing she demonstrates have to do with the muscle fibers used in the vocal cords. additionally, both examples use a fairly muscular approach.

  • You do not "sing with your diaphragm." When you sing air goes through your throat (i.e. the vocal cords & they vibrate as a result of that air flow). The diaphragm is the pump which slowly pushes air through the cords. Both are a must for sound: air & the muscles of the cords. When you sing "from the throat," you are using too much muscle of the cords and other muscles. The diaphragm is still working. She does not have the complete picture. I have a doctorate in voice from the Univ. of Michigan.

  • You got a nice rack mama!

  • @Nailsdewed same

  • HOW THE FUCK DO YOU SING WITH YOUR DIAPHRAGM!

  • yea....i sing with my throat and while i agree its probably better to sing with diaphragm I don't sound that bad....

  • you're over exaggerating with the throat voice =.=

  • I am struggling to understand the physics behind singing with your diaphragm. Don't the vocal chords always make the sound ? I always thought they did. They are like the guitar strings. When you breathe by expanding your stomach muscles, are you just providing a larger resonant cavity (like a guitar body) for your vocal chords ?

  • I think I like singing with my thraot better:]

  • this actually helped me a lot =]

  • i still sing like im dying !

  • how can we know that we are singing by our diaphragm ? Is that we whole our body wil resonace ?

  • This is really good advice everyone, and trying this isn't gonna make you sound great, and yes, SHE MAJORLY went overboard with saying it'll affect your sound. -.- It won't that much. Simply try as many excersizes as possible. I sing karaoke twice a week and sing everyday, and in a few months I have gotten much better. Try not giving up or trashing peoples vids and you might get there.

  • And is it true that when people are able to sing from their diaphragm, their talking voices actually sound nicer?

  • when i sing, its from my lungs and it sounds nice but when i come anywhere close to a microphone my voice sounds weird o-o but still its okay... hmm... i wonder how i'd sound from my diaphragm... :/

  • LYKE A DYMOND IN DUH SKAI

  • this makes no sense...

  • Fake singing, she's putting voices on

  • tip: when you lay in bed, but your hand on your stomach en breath. try to breath with your belly, you notice it when your stomach is pushing your hand up and your chest isn't going as high as it used. try doing this ten times each night and you will breath every single day like that! it really helps you with singing.

  • @SoundStar01

I do that! I always breath with my stomach but my throat still vibrates... :/

  • What???

  • :( dont get it

  • i watch this video so many times and i still dont know howto sing with my diaphragm i mean what r the steps

  • @MrFreefall75 lol hardly, there's plenty of male vocal coaches out there :P

  • i watch all the videos in one day and just when i was done it help alot thank you so much

  • Beyonce must use ALL Her Diaphragm...O.O

  • If you dont sing from ur throught then ur not singing at all the WORDS come from ur throat smartie -_-

  • @Supergirl23451 you mean throat?

  • Okay, now, if your singing with your throats the song will sound like this (*note to self: Now, time to make my voice sound as shitty as possible"*)

  • pause at 0:24 XD

originally 0:25 but ya know lol

  • @Cbeadles463 lol dude

  • i don't know if it's just me, but i don't feel the difference. i think i'm singing with my diaphragm, but then i feel my throat and it's shaking, so i'm not really sure : /

  • @xoaquachicxo Yeah, me too, I feel the same ¬¬

  • Comment removed

  • This Is Reaally God Tips !:)

  • call me stupid but i dont have any vocal chords in my stomach ... its all coming outside my freakin throat lol

  • first

  • Whoa momma!!! O.o

  • @iRewel awww thats great hun XD

  • Does your jaw have an affect on your voice? I have an underbite - for those who don't know, it's when your lower jaw has grown too much so that it's infront of your upper jaw. Someone please reply...

  • @SpacePyjamas It does. I hav an underbite too. The reason is that ur tongue normally lays at the bottom of ur mouth, making ur bottom jaw expand to fit ur tongue, and the back of your tongue is tense and affects your throat. Practice keepin ur tongue relaxed at the top of ur mouth. Take a 3/4 cm of an eraser and hold it with the front of ur teeth while reading aloud over dramatically for 15 min every day. It helps focus more on the use of lips, mouth, tongue, and breath (: hope that helped

  • hey i would like to sing a lot better maybe a Christina Aguilera can you help?

  • Hey can anyone help me? I still have no idea..i mean what does she mean by expand it...when i inhale my chest gets smaller..help?

  • @YourtheBEAST99 Mmm, I think what you're doing is as she said, breathing up and in. It's kinda difficult to get the way she explains, but you might be breathing with the top of your chest, upwards and downwards. What you want is to breath with the lower part of your chest, so when you breath in, your stomach pushes out and when you exhale, your stomach will get smaller...it takes a while to get used to the 'breathing with your stomach' kind of breaths.

  • @YourtheBEAST99 Lay down on the floor and take a deep relaxed breath. Your shoulders and chest will -not- move- they stay the same and your stomach will move. That's proper breathing. if you vocalize in this position on the floor for 15 minutes a day for three weeks, you'll learn proper diaphragm placement and then singing that way will occur naturally with little to no effort.

  • When it zoomed in... I looked at her boobs... Sorry, I couldn't help it :/

  • wow

  • I've improved:)

  • @kidw3st wtff?? how the hell??? i didnt understood a shit she said even tho i replayed this video like 6 times.
