  • I also thought that Blondie was a honey.

  • When Chicago's Very Own Channel 9 began broadcasting the King Features-syndicated Blondie series at 7 PM on Tuesday nights in 1966, they soon owned that time slot. It was a big hit, something to take our minds off of Vietnam and the simmering rebellion that characterized the USA around then--although, personally I was having a blast at age 14, when high school was fun.

  • Do anyone know what episode where the whole theme song is the one when Dagwood runs into the mailman? It's just an instrumental. It usually plays during that segment.

  • I'm Spanish but I love Blondie!

  • @loverofoldtimes What part of Spain do you live in?

  • @1876alamo In the town of Seville, in Andalusia, in the south of Spain. The Blondie movies have not arrived to my country (at least as I know), but all I've watched in youtube is funny and marvelous.

  • This is the theme for the 1966 King Features TV reissue of the Columbia "Blondie" movies.

  • Hard to believe Lake was married to the daughter of Hearst and Davies.

  • Love these silly shows good clean entertainment

  • I love these movies so silly and funny don't make shows like this any more. I have all 27 movies and watch over and over.

  • I love these movies! The set for the house is my dream house, and I'd love to find a 'thoroughbred mongrel' like Daisy:)

  • "BLON-DIE!!!" Classic.

  • I so remembr watching these growin up. :) I need to get these on DVD.

  • @CadillacL Yeah - I'm about to be 39, and we watched these shows growing up! A Blondie & Dagwood feature would be a Saturday morning treat for us back then!

  • @kincaide67 I'm about to be 39 m yself. They were great weren't they? :) If i remember, for me, every Sunday afternoon it was either Blondie/Dagwood, Charlie Chan, Pippi, etc. SO many memories.

  • @CadillacL Yeah - usually sometime before noon one of those would come on. All those old great black'n'white comedies. I recall Pippi as well! Quite a change when you get up and look at weekend programming now-a-days with your 600+ channels that basically show nothing. But then, I guess that's progress!

  • @kincaide67 Progress, MAYBE. :)

  • @kincaide67 Yeah, there "are" some watch-worthy shows & movies, nowadays, but nothing like escape, which seems, to me, the purpose of TV. Today, it's a load of garbage (sur)reality shows, & for lack of a plot, they fill the screen with special effects, violence (even I'm complaining about it, being a fighter) & facetious stuff. Nice, that we can find something in which we can forget the horrors of a decadent society, huh?

  • @dirtywhiteboymma That is certainly how I feel.

  • @1876alamo GOTTa have something, in the modern mess,eh..?

  • I always thought this was one of the all-time coolest theme songs...and hearing this again after some 30 years- IT STILL ROCKS!

  • Yepp its on DVD..To see the dvds google Blondie: The Movie Series..
