  • ok computer= in rainbows

  • @admiralgumdrops no way mate. In Rainbows was very good but OK Computer is the best album ever

  • @verifyyouare18or I guess it really is all up to personal taste. Both albums were truly great in their own rights, but I guess OK Computer's deal more in-depth with subjects like capitalism and the petty existence of people who pledge their allegiance to consumerism. Meanwhile, In Rainbow has probably more creativity on the music side and is more diverse texture wise.

  • I like radiohead.. and I am Walrus

  • I like Radiohead.......

  • I like Radiohead.... and I'm a Fake Plastic Tree

  • BEST SONG EVER

  • I'm enrolled in a Bachelor of Laws for the past 7 years. I aced the first 2 years but have gotten nearly no study credits ever since.

At one point I found myself lost, just gave up and now it's getting increasingly difficult each year to finish it. I'm pretty much broke(n) at this point and I've found no way out. Nobody that knows me, knows this about me. They think my life is all fine and dandy.

Ok Computer captures how I feel.

  • @Justsomebody1985 I'm the same with high school. I empathize. This song is the sound that fills the intermitent void of under achievement.

  • I like Radiohead, and I'm a Christian.

  • I like Radiohead...and I'm an accountant.

  • I like Radiohead, and I am me

  • i like radiohead...and i'm hung like a mule...i wish

  • I like radiohead...and I Am Batman

  • @RaqifHart I'm the real Batman.

  • @RaqifHart Holy Radiohead Batman

  • Anyone else remember this when it was on Royle Family? Always reminds me of that - brilliant song as well though!

  • This entire album is just a masterpiece of modern music.

  • i like radiohead...and i'm a gravedigger

  • I like Radiohead... and I'm the Doctor.

  • I like Radiohead... and I'm Godfather..

  • I like Radiohead ...and I'm a Cat

  • I like Radiohead... and I love McDonalds.

  • @aijunk2 I agree, but it's interesting to listen to Pablo Honey and know that Radiohead started like that. For a first album, it's pretty decent. I've never seen any other band evolve as much as Radiohead did. @Antiks72 if you think every album except this sucks, your not a true Radiohead fan. I posted it twice for double the importance

  • Three Radiohead albums everyone should own: 1) The Bends 2) OK Computer 3) Kid A (In no particular order, just depends on your mood)

These three albums are truly the work of an inspired band at their peak. A band that will matter 100 years from now.

  • Too bad Radiohead went to shit after this album. :(

  • @Antiks72 False. Kid A is one of the best albums ever recorded. Amnesiac, and Hail to the Thief are also awesome. In Rainbows and King of Limbs are good. Maybe your taste in music went to shit after this album?

  • @TheEnchantingWizard1 LOL Kid A was the worst. The rest are pretty meh.

  • @Antiks72

You're just a dumb ass. The only meh one was Pablo Honey and MAYBE King Of Limb. The rest is all amazing, some even more amazing. Those some would be, The Bends, OK Computer and Kid A. Amneisac, HTTT and In Rainbows are almost as equally good.

  • @aijunk2 go back to reading rolling stone kid.

  • @Antiks72

I'm 34 nut sack. Out of all the bands I have listened to (Sonic Youth, Clash, Strokes, Black Keys, Arcade Fire, New Order, Smiths, Joy Division, The Replacements, The Jam, Stone Roses, The Streets, Arctic Monkeys) Radiohead STILL leaves the biggest mark on me. And yes, I have listened to the entire discography of each artists that I have listed above. And yes, they're amazing, but I still like Radiohead if not equally, but a bit more.

  • @aijunk2 My nutsack, your chin.

  • @Antiks72

Sounds like a date. Time and place?

  • @aijunk2 LOL

  • @Antiks72

Indeed. I hope you like sweaty nuts.

  • @aijunk2 :)

  • @Antiks72

    And I hope you're a chick . . . or less that would be awkward :/

  • @aijunk2 cool story bro

  • @EltonHamilton

Was I talking to you, dumb ass? I was just trying to prove a point.

  • @idospeakenglish Yeah, sure, as would you mate.....

I dnt really have time for classes, I'm currently watching a few videos about free will and determinism from sam harris and dan dennet, i checked out some lawrence krauss, Nietzsche.

Most of the it is pretty challenging for me, Is there anything that you could recomend that might be interesting, outside of my "usual" thinking?

  • @shandcunt

    Hegel, Schelling, and Kant.

  • I'm not gonna give you this dissertation on why and how this song changed or enhanced my life or how much I love RH.

I will tell you this though; this song always clears my mind and leaves me feeling ''spent'' IAfter 1,000 listens, I still don't know why I continue to listen to it.

  • @idospeakenglish anyway stop feeding the troll fool, i didnt intend this to be a long dragged out thing, just wanted to make fun of a mormon for publicly declearing he believes things that directly contradict reality

  • @shandcunt

You would benefit from a few philosophy classes.

  • @idospeakenglish "imposing my beliefs.....? I wish people would open their minds before they open their mouths" - exactly, but pointing out how crazy scientolgy/mormons are is not imposing a belief?

"aliens could arrive tomorrow....in could be 100%" - U have to deal with reality on reality's terms and there is no good reason why this fantasy would be true rather than jesus retruning- u dnt live ur life like this, u make plans, we build things based on our understanding of reality nd they work

  • @idospeakenglish Ohhh, well I guess thats kind of funny, i mean i dont get it but sure, why not.

As for not critizing, thats very Politically Correct of you and i encourage you to keep quiet on the matter and not critizise anyone for anything, especially religon. If we just keep quiet about it things will change

  • @shandcunt

I doubt criticizing someone's religious beliefs on a Radiohead video will create change in the world...But I'm referring to the fact that, although I am annoyed at various religions for constantly trying to convert me (creating followers is part of Judaism, Christianity and Islam), it would be hypocritical of me to address every religious person and tell them that they are wrong and that there is no God.

  • @shandcunt

Besides, for all anyone knows, aliens could arrive tomorrow and everything anyone believed in could be 100% wrong. So why should I waste my time imposing my beliefs on another individual? I wish people would open their minds before they open their mouths.

  • @idospeakenglish you realise how unlikely that is to be true?? how history directly contradicts this version of events??

  • @shandcunt

No, actually I believe some months ago under the "Suggestions" (the list of videos to the right) was a promoted video titled "...and I'm a Mormon" It appeared on every Radiohead video. I thought it was funny that for some reason the Mormon video appeared on every Radiohead song. So I decided to poke fun at the randomness of the video. I'm an Atheist myself, but I would stop criticizing other peoples beliefs. Religion doesn't use logic anyway. That's why it's called faith.

  • @idospeakenglish You believe that Joseph Smith had visions from an angel that directed him to golden plates which describe early indigenous Americans were believing Israelites, who had a belief in Christ many hundred years before his birth. That Smith translated over 500 pages in about 60 days but an angel had forbidden him to show the plates to anyone until they had been translated from their original "reformed Egyptian" language but after the translation was complete the plates disappeared?

  • I try not to dwell on despair, but I feel like this song gives you the emotions of planning suicide. I picture a guy who is severly bleak about his life in general, so he drugs himself to sleep knowing he wont wake up. Having said that, this song portrays suicide in the most beautful way possible, if that makes sense.

  • thom is killing it he has transformed his voice and it sounds fucking great he can sound like anything this song is mmmm

  • This is such a tragically wonderful album. Probably one of the closest to perfect.

  • @goodgodyou Like I said, surviving. Not better off, but just sadly getting by in a world he can't join or leave. Reminds me of a painting, actually. "Automat" by Edward Hopper.

  • @goodgodyou It could really go either way, honestly, but that crippling dissociation remains pretty unchanged. No surprises. Nothing worth living for. I remember when I first heard this song, and I swore he was saying "no one loves you, no surprises." Even though I know I misheard it, I can't help but find it fitting. The whole thing is just so terribly desperate.

Though as you pointed out, he does seem to get better. That's a bleak but pleasant up-side. He's surviving.

  • This is easily one of the most beautiful songs ever written.

  • @FreeSlushiesForAll I wouldn't say easily, there are still more radiohead songs lol

  • YOU GUYS SHOULD SEE THE VIDEO I MADE!!! IS ABOUT NO SURPRISES AND DEAD ISLAND!!! IS FREAKING AWESOME!!!

  • unbelievable song

  • @idospeakenglish

that was probably the BEST comment I've read in all of youtube's history.

  • great song

  • im sleeping with this song for a long time

  • Reminds me of the good ol' days

  • Lullaby/Kids programming/La La Land + Radiohead's twisted and beautiful composing= No Suprises. At this point in the album, youre kind of blown away with how much music just shaped your entire thought process.

  • It Feels Nostalgic to listen to this song. After some time I am listening again to Radiohead. Great Band.

  • This song makes me feel happy right now. I'm not sure why.

  • So yea.........this reminds me of Christmas for no reason

  • This music is beautifully composed.

  • Radiohead is basically just a revolutionary band. lots of other bands such as muse and Coldplay base their music off of radiohead, but Radiohead is just genius. the song writing, the way it corresponds with the music, and the music videos. fantastic. these people truly are "Artists".

  • I like Radiohead ...and I'm a Mormon

  • @idospeakenglish what does being a mormon have to do with liking radiohead?

  • @rammsteinTOtheMAX

For a long time there were all these promoted videos titled "...And I'm a Mormon." Every time I would listen to a Radiohead song, one of those videos appeared on the right side of the screen above the 'Suggestions' column.

  • @idospeakenglish I actually am Mormon and Radiohead is my second favorite band!

  • Comment removed

  • @idospeakenglish cus your outspoken

  • @idospeakenglish hahaha excellent!

  • @idospeakenglish

Do you have sex to this song, you know, with your MANY wives and shit?

  • This song is pretty much about dying in his sleep

  • Even though most of the lyrics to Radiohead's songs are usually dark, depressing, or sad, there is always that 1-2 songs, either at the end or in the middle, that just lift you above the clouds. I don't know how they do this, but they do it very well.

  • i dont see how this is even not likeable, everything about radioheads aura and "no suprises" its self is just not far off perfect

  • Shove that up your bollox... Just sayin

  • @Trunkos45 Peep Show?

  • the music video just made no sense to me but the song is still indescribably beautiful

  • @BobbyCharlesIdk

Really? You don't get how that video fits with a song about life slowly but surely torturing someone in its monotony? The whole video has this apathetic singing as the room is being slowly filled with water. He's about to drown, but he doesn't care. It's like he's used to that feeling. And when the water finally washes away, it feels more like this has happened before, and it will happen again. I dunno. I just thought it was a really awesome metaphor.

  • I came to this once, it was pure magick.

  • Song of my life.
