I've done that before actually. The part where Sigma fires out robots is the best possible position to Shoryuken him at period.

A lot of bosses actually can die to one Shoryuken, its just that unlike Hadouken you need them in the right spot in the air.

Some on the other hand, you can one-shot without that requirement but its just generally a lot easier to get the one-shot while airborne. Screw it up, and you'll instead only do so much damage.
