@Love2knowIT Cloning is done by taking the whole DNA from the subject clone, so the product is supposed to be identical. But who knows, in far future we might be able to modify those genes. I think it is going to be a really tough job to do though, I mean we could not even create a healthy clone yet; how can we modify it?

so..... cloning is the same as conception... women very often miscarriage their first baby and at anytime during pregnancy 1 of thousands of things can go wrong. You never know if you're going to get a child with no abnormalities. Cloning, in time, can actually be SAFER than natural conception. Like twins, cloning isn't truly unnatural.

I think the only concern, really, is whether or not it's safe. If it was entirely safe in every way before the first human was cloned, who cares if someone is able to have a baby with normal human DNA that happens to be identical to someone else's? However, I don't think the demand for cloning lives up to the number of complex problems that it still has. Even if there was a positive public reaction to the old human cloning controversy, I don't think it's really practical.

Geneticists will most definitely perfect the cloning process. I think we should ask ourselves if this is truly a beneficial thing. Aside from twins or children who have passed, I see no purpose in cloning a human. Stem cell therapy is revolutionizing the way we understand mortality. I think there is more purpose and benefit in genetic engineering than cloning. At least through that process, we can correct any abnormalities that could arise naturally or otherwise.
