  • ahhh you look really cute like this

  • Hey bro, you got Jeremy Lin now. XD Now's the best time for change in history because the spotlight has shifted.

  • I guess I'm subscribing to yet another youtuber. I really like your laid back attitude. I've never really been into asian men but you my friend are sexy with a side of cool. Get out there and show hollywood that asian men deserve to be taken seriously. Best of luck

  • im nigerian im not even asian and i was watching bruce lee a few weeks ago and came to the same conclusion and tried to explain to my husband but he is blind.i said the same thing lookto me if u have a brain it makes perfect sense

  • Money talks unfortunately, which is why guys like Bobby Lee, Ken Jeong settled for those roles instead of demanding more from Hollywood. If that were me however, I would have declined, because at the end of the day I cannot be bought, money isn't everything at the end of the day, despite the fact we have to live off it. After what you said about the whole Bruce Lee thing, I totally understand now why he was murdered. Thats just f*cked up.

  • Seriously this video is really the truth & my feelings on this topic. I can really because just as a black female, there's really no black female lead in a mainstream Hollywood movie. If it is, it's a film whose target audience are Black people... It just really bothers me so much so I can relate to how you feel. Being in a similar field (animation) I know it can change (I lack so much confidence) & as long as you are willing to take action, it really can change. You do have my support~

  • wow...i think it's bc im like in love with kpop...but in this video thumbnail....you look like lee joon from mblaq O.O

  • @Musicluver9962 omg i agree!

  • Cannot wait, I'll support and criticize the shit out of it/you. Lol, but I dig Asians, I hope they take over the world, I really do. Like imagine having an Asian president how much stuff will get done and how motivated we will become. A good Asian president not like Kim Jong-il though.

  • because hollywood is run by stereotyping pieces of shit.

    plain & simple.

  • @slonke I somewhat agree. You can't say because they are "white". Unfortunately, I believe a lot of it is because even though the majority is not "racist", at the end of the day, despite us saying we don't see color, we will always unconsciously help our own race and or nationality out. And I think that is where we need to start the change. We need to break down mental barriers on how we perceive "color". And it is an old tradition in the marketing world that white people move products better.

  • You look extremely hot in this video :D Go no hat more often, your hair is gourgous

  • I agree with your video. It sucks that even in 2011 and how diversified the USA is with so many ethnicities that you can't have a minority as a lead character in a major Hollywood production. Movies are so far and few in between. I even get disappointed on regular tv shows even commercials. Why couldn't an Asian family sell the Hellmann's mayo?? etc. I watch tv and movies and I ask "why" now. I hope you take the risk and be true because someone needs to take a stand. :-)

  • Hiya, sweets! Okay. As far as no other 'COOL' Asian fighters/actors existing, I must disagree. ALL three of the cats you named above, BUT in their native China, where their movies are WICKED COOL! I've seen a few Chaw Yun Fat (sp?), Jackie Chan, AND Johnny Tri Nguyen (Vietnam) films!

*See, there are a few 'Seoul' survivers left, eh? No, none of the above are Korean, but I thought it clever, so I went for it! Also, BI and NAIOMI HARRIS. All of that suffering and no kissing? C'mon, eh?

  • so much truths coming from you, I'm so glad that I stumped on your channel

  • Bruce Lee was my first heroic figure as a kid, too. It was more than his skill and film presence - but his lifestyle, as well. I take that with me all the time. I would cite Donnie Yen, as another viewer has - but honestly, to my knowledge - he hasn't "hit it off" in America like Jackie Chan has. Meh! That's too bad. Keep doing what you do - and take the 10 Million if they offer it ;-) it will fund what you want to do.

  • Your hair is sexy.. I know its random but...damn

  • Late to the party but...HW doesn't understand diversity or relate to other cultures. It's up to the independant film makers and foreign studios to produce quality work for now. Hollywood can recognise or step aside. Remember "Slumdog Millionaire"? Look at the re-makes they try to peddle: The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo , Let The Right One In, ect. HW is getting desperate. Stay true to you and do what you love. If you can't climb over, walk around. It takes longer but you still get there.

  • oh yes I understand 100% ,don't forget ww2 they don't want to empower Asians

  • I honestly think the media is portraying more asians :) im starting to see asians in amost every commercial and many asian actors in movies too and theyre not ugly i would say pretty handsome asian dudes!

  • I sincerely hope you can accomplish what you're striving for and that you are strong enough to uphold your ideals and whatnot. I understand the financial strategic approach of major producers, but they are really underestimating society's ability to adapt to a change of ethnic variety.

  • Lol tenchi is so like profound... on everything, he should be a proffesor! :D

  • I feel where you coming from. Its a slow and hopefully steady climb and of course their are times when people stumble and don't make the best choices but I always think that its a good way to be someone inside and possible kick open doors for other's to jump in and make better for those after them. It always starts with one person and who knows when you become a great director (that I know you will be ^_^) I'll go and so will your supporters. There is always a first step can't wait to see yours

  • u surely did have a hard time. u were not the same Tenchi we used to see. anyway , I'm postin' this comment a month after this was uploaded , so things must've changed up to now.

  • I would really love to know what current Asian actors you do have respect for? Is there any that you think has not sold out? UNless you have already done a video for that then you can direct me there.

  • @Prodaga84 U know honestly, my views on that changed... I started to realize how hard it must have been for them to be in that position in the first place. With media being unfair as it is, how hard it must have been to even score that role. I started to feel really stupid for downing my own , I was truly a moron. But, that doesn't mean I think it is a good role.. I honestly still feel most of them have very shiddy roles, but the actors themselves should be commended.

  • @Tenchijk I have a feeling that there must be like some amazing independent movies that featured asian "hollywood" actors. I thought Kal Penn was only about comedy until I saw the Namesake which was an amazing movie, so I reason there must be other Asian directives that can be taken seriously. I think I am gonna research that ...

I am glad you are not going at the asian "hollywood" actors anymore. Trust me there are enough white people getting at them no need for you to add to their pain

  • @Tenchijk I used to be ticked but, lately we don't have to look too far to experience other races. bollywood, korean, nigerian.. LOADS!

There is more to Film than HOLLYWOOD *hooraaay*

I am still kinda buzzed about it for Natives and western blacks though since western blacks have so separated from africa and the whole western hemisphere is really Native territory. if they are not represented here, then where?

You can always turn the fucking tv off, and read a book >.^

    <3 hope ur well <3

  • @DaniaOMGWania hollywood can suck it

  • beautiful hair

  • Whoa, just started watching your videos tenchi, and I gotta say, you really do have 'the real stuff' in your casual talk! Can't wait for more!

  • Bruce was legend!

  • OMGGGG i wanna get in to hollywood to break stereotypes too. i wanna eventually have a production company and have movies with everybody in it. samoans, japanese, koreans, thai, black, white, brazillian, mexican, colombian, nigerian EVERYBODY! im kinda sick of seeing the same blondes in every damn movie.lol

  • what ever happen to the ambw movie Tenchi was gonna do

  • @Artamasia92 they backed out cause they didn't have enough funds... But i'm in film school, learning how to direct.. so i can make the movie myself ^_^

  • you're cool =)....just sayin

  • 100% agree with u man^^

  • Not to downplay the seriousness of this topic matter, but I LOVE the hair! Good luck to you in film school. I believe more people of color need to be behind the scenes and create their own stories. People of color cannot and should not rely on whites to tell their stories. Maybe when more people of color start creating opportunities for themselves some of this stereotypical crap can be lessened.

  • i agreed with you until you went into this weird idea as to how bruce lee died. if that were the case, they'd be murdering everyone who wasn't white, right? maybe they killed tupac and biggie too

  • I can't say I know exactly how you feel on the subject of your role model but what about Donnie yen? ( I'm not trying to be funny) He's actually pretty badass. I do however agree that I don't get into Jackie Chan movies and others like I do when watching a movie with Bruce Lee or Donnie yen. I guess actors have gotten pretty watered down in our time. That goes for Black actors too. It is a bit irritating.

  • @ExcusemewhileIkissU I love donnie yen, he is an amazing martial artist, I loved him in Ip man. He was very real in that movie.

  • All power to you mang! I want to be a film maker too and I was thinking that for the longest time. Cause... yeah hiring an Asian could be risky, but if you make an interesting film and the plot/trailer looks so interesting it shouldn't matter. Maybe its wishful thinking, but I think ...it could happen. Maybe I'd even be shady about it and keep certain actors out of the trailer.... then people watch the movie, like the story, and end up taking a liking to the actors - whatever race they may be.

  • Roles in Hollywood: Asian people, smart or kung fu fighting. you get wat i mean. Black people create the mood lol as in funny or drugs and gang fight and then White people, i really dont know to be honest. they are great, but dey are kinda all d same. to be honest i really dont know no matter how much i think about it.

  • The truth about his death is kind of hard to figure out. He worked really hard on his projects and maybe it was a little too much. Some say that he had an allergic shock from a medication he had become from a co-worker. He said he was feeling tired and kind of ill so she gave him something. I saw this on German TV it was a documentation of him and his son.

  • TENCHI I AM THE REPRESENTATIVE OF ALL YOUR FANS, AND WE PROMISE WE WILL SUPPORT YOU TILL THE VERY END! LOVE YA!!! -3 -3 -3

  • Tenchi oh my goodness your so amazingly hot, i love your swag, your video's, everything. =) i wish i had a boyfriend JUST LIKE YOU =(

  • Hey man, Brandon Lee fucking got shot while making The Crow. Do you think it's a coincidence, I mean that it happened To Bruce's son. Did they want to kill off Brandon Because he was Asian also maybe.

  • Your right the entertainment business has a way of degrading races that aren't of their own (white) but we have to work on the people.. me being an african american person who has so much pride in who i am (i love to learn about other cultures too) i have to sit back and look at my people, yes i believe that we are in these horrible circumstances and sterotypes because of the "man" but i also see that alot of people aren't doing anything about it, they think the life they live is good enough

  • dang...listening to this reminds of the minstrelsy period with black people. The same thing is happening with the Asian community??!! Have we learned nothing?!!

    bunch of bul s***

  • O YEA, US MINORITIES GOTTA STICK 2GETHA!!!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • WOW TENCHI!!! IT'S FUNNY U MENTIONED B.LEE. I WANNA SHARE A STORY W/U & ALL OF YOUTUBE I GUESS! MY DAD & I WAS JUST TALKIN A/B HIM 2WKS AGO. MY DAD WAS 18 WEN LEE DIED, & HE WORKED @ A COLLEGE & SUM WHITE CLASSMATES OF HIS SAID "O YEA, I HEARD BRUCE DIED & I'M GLAD HE'S DEAD", ETC,& ALL THIS OTHER BS! SO YEA, WHITES I'M SURE WEREN'T HAPPY W/ THE FACT DAT LEE, A MINORITY, WAS KICKIN WHITE PPL'S ASS IN MOVIES SO THOSE MOFOS WAS HATIN BK THEN.

  • i love your hairr 8'D

  • Tenchi... what about (BI)Rain? I feel if any Asian actor can bypass the stereotype he could be the one.

  • Sorry I'm being a complete creeper, but this rant speaks to me as well. ESPECIALLY the part where you speak about how Bruce Lee was seen as a threat toward the *cough* white *cough* audience. I mean, if there were tv shows portraying black people as more than the sidekick, all hell will break loose. It's the same for any other minorities as well, and I just see it as the whole white supremacy theory that they don't want to give up their power that they have over the world's media.

  • Kind of late seeing this video..but your so right...wish you much success...and off the topic...THE HAIR...is lovely

  • OhMyGosh he does look like lee joon!!!

  • mannnn, ur hair is like ridiculously awesome.

  • @Tenchijk You look a lot like Lee Joon from MBLAQ . (:

  • @StarzzAndStuff I was thinking the same thing :3

  • i'm as to what you think about both he and his son dying so young?

  • oppa your hair is so sexy ;]

  • i would just have to loose money then because if i want an Asian male lead that's attractive then that's what i'm having (i think it's just because i'm that stubborn and what not)

  • i agree with you you make really great videos:) i hope you get success in being a filmmaker:)

  • where are u at again TJK?

  • I couldn't help but wince when you called Jackie Chan, Jet Li and CYF "lesser actors". I think all of them are/were superb, including Bruce Lee. I hope in my lifetime that I will not only see more Asian actors, but also Native American <-- I think these guys are represent even less than any other group of people. I think I know of an Asian actor who doesn't always land bad roles (if any): Ken Watanabe, even though he mainly does Japanese movies, he has made quite a name for himself in the US. :D

  • you kind of remind me of joon from mblaq

  • @punca i think it's his eyes they kinda remind me of joons a bit-xx

  • @punca Really? I think he looks kind of like Key from SHINee.

  • @PrettyPrincess2614 i think he looks like Ji Hoo from Boys over Flowers xD

  • Actually, you are very handsome and Im not one to go for Asian guys. Maybe you can be the next Bruce Lee :D lol

  • You remind me of an actor...................like your hair is awesome and your personality match really well for an actor :D

if you are not an actor for real sorry about that GOOD LUCK IN FUTURE !

  • @debit256 whoa there...

  • @Tenchijk omg....is that the guy u was talkin about in your "New Year Disaster?" video?..lol...the over the top homosexual guy?

  • @debit256 o.m.g.... uhh wtff!

  • @debit256 eww can't believe you said that lol

  • Respond to this video... those chuck norris fans are hardcore

  • hes so right about bruce the same thing happens with black people all the timme at the hight if their fame when their are reaching and inspiring people somehow they end up dead either a crash or unexplained death!AAliyah(plan crash ,illuminanti set up,Tupac, leader suge got him killed,Malcolm and martin and bruce) white people fear minorities and our talent

  • damn so cute..be my boyfriend? pleasse!!!! lol

  • so r u an actor or a film maker?

  • @04sayra trying to be a filmmaker XD

  • what you say is very true, it's sad but true. but i notice A LOT more asian men and women in commercials lately, like a sudden upsurge

  • Maybe you won't see this but I just have to say what I thought the first time I saw you in this vid xD MAN! You look good with your hair like that! I don't know if you grew it longer beacuse you tend to hide it with your hat but there's something different and I like it.

Lol I couldn't help it xD Saranghae!

  • Gah! I miss your videos. Make my Youtube experience awesome. I know you are doing work though .

  • I just sent you an email, I hope you see it. :)

  • Hollywood hand out crappy roles to minorities because it's a covert way of exhaulting white sumpremacy. White men are definitely among the most fearful and insecure creatures on the globe but their insecurity has backfired because not even their counterparts think they are hot or appealing as much anymore! There materal gains and false sense of power is falling apart and no one gives a shit about appeasing them anymore!

  • Comment removed

  • Also, this is completely unrelated, but do you still make those tote bags? I think they are really cute and I would like to buy one if you still sell them.

  • I disagree with you on one point, and that's in regard to Asian actors that take less than stellar roles. Yes, there need to be better opportunities for Asian actors, but it's nearly impossible to create those opportunities without first breaking into the business. Asian actors can bring about change from the inside, but in some respects it is necessary for them to take stereotypical roles just to get their foot in the door.

  • @LucyStriper It doesn't need to be that way though. If everyone was to refuse stereotypical roles, there wouldn't be any. No roles is better then stereotypical roles in my opinion, then we'd be in a neutral position, and people would be forced to judge us as individuals, rather than what they see in the media. I get what you are saying though mate.

  • @Tenchijk black people had to take horribly degrading roles in order to get where they are, i guess asians will just have to do the same

  • I support you ! :D You've got great dreams and ideas an theories. I'm white but it's an inspiration for me too :] anyhow asians are the best. You'll do fantastic no worries.

  • The hair <3 ! I just wish people could look at a role as just that, especially for minorities. Its like if a white guy plays a crack head hes just a guy whos character is a crack head. But let him be hispanic, or black, its like people immediately assume that that is how they all are. But yeh I see what you mean, minorities get all the crappy roles which sucks because other parts of the world look at kthis and like I mentioned, assume that that is how everyone os

  • I don't think you should let them feed that to you. Do you know how many minorities are in the United States, and How much money they have? IF you make a good movie and have great actors, people are going to watch it. Notice all the minority aimed cartoons such as Dora. People are tired of just seeing white. Don't let them tell you that no one wants to see a black princess or an Asian heart throb. Look a tall the popular ethnic comicbook characters. They sell well. that has to say something.

  • Does Tenchi oppa have a twitter? Ooh! I almost forgot aren't you Japanese and Korean? :o If you are how do you feel about double honorifics? Like "oppa sama" would that just be stupid? Just asking ^_^

  • The "white men" do this also to the black people. Watch some movies and you will always see a black guy who costumes himself as woman or is homosexual...that is also done to disempower them. Every major black actor has some perverse movie backgrounds, look up the biography of Will Smith for instance.

  • Totally agree... they tried to say he did drugs for the first time so he died.... some ppl believe that and it completely makes me sad. Bruce Lee's philosophy was completely against drug abuse... And not only was he an inspiration to other asians, he was a inspiration to all minorities, he wasn't just an actor but a director, martial artist, screenwriter, and philosopher. So of course they saw him as threat because he was way before his time....

  • $3,000,000 to play their asian monkey? Sure, then after u receive that money turn the script and put that money towards reversing this shit. Money=Power. Additionally, you out of all people should know this considering how much attention you get, but due to this influx in the hallyu wave, Asian Americans, and Korean's in particular are garnering more attention from other counterparts. If I were you I would totally use that to my advantage ;) you'll have everyone on asians dicks! muha! *sneaky*

  • At the rate how things are going, Asian actors are really better off seeking Asian producers and directors instead, rather than to infiltrate the joke that is Hollywood.

  • While listening to the first part of your video, Dave Chapelle's "Inside the Actors Studio" interview came to mind. If the times comes, I hope you choose not to dance. I hope that you are strong enough not to fall victim to the wiles of the Hollywood machine. I wish you well and I hope you make a strong and positive impact in your future endeavors.

  • i miss the funny goofy videozz..... :(

  • omg, you look amazingly handsome with your hair like that 0_0 *drools*

  • We're with you. You got that. Good luck with your aspirations. Yes, it will be difficult. Bruce went through it. Use his experience to keep yo ass on track. You know who you are. And you're learning even more about our racist movie industry. It's not by chance that leading men who are Asian and empoweringly masculine, aren't plentiful. Bruce was all that: skill, talent, unwaveringly powerful, and a MAN. You know who you are. You got this. It's really NOT about money in Hollywood.

  • Tenchi, best luck man. U gonna go through alot of bull shit.

But keep ur head up. Things get better.

When u can't go any farther down, the only way is up. Please have alot of patience a d work hard. The industry and world can only change through hard work and strong influences.

    Peace

  • 0:01

    "OMFG marry me~"

  • OH! I know who you remind me of!!! You remind me of Lee Sungmin from Super Junior, but more manly XPPP

  • Comment removed

  • I know what you mean. They do the same thing with black people in Hollywood...the one's who are great actors, hard-working and dignified get overlooked by stupid, I'll-take-any-job-you-give-me-as-long-as-I-get-paid negros. Like that embarrassing actor on Tyler Perry's House of Payne

  • Full support right here... I wish ya the best, and hope you go far. Good luck man ^_^

  • Am shitty with names, but some of these asian guys do want to act comedy, not everyone can be bruce lee, as much as they are encouraging stereotypes they have to cut their coat according to the cloth size, if that makes sense...

By the way Tenshi, listen to an american-asian group called AZIATIX, you might like them

  • AHH! Tenchi!

    Your hair X] ehehehe

  • I definitely see what you mean :(....However, I think things are slowly changing...especially in the past 5 yrs or so....Now we have actors like Daniel Henny, Daniel Dae Kim, Tim Kang, Jay Chou, John Cho who are getting serious major roles:)...I have noticed that sometimes they play into some stereotypes and alot times they can't be leading actor...they have to be like the side kick (it's fucked up)...But, I guess it's some progress.

  • BTW, out of all the videos I watched from you I don't remember you saying anything about the Hallyu Wave (and the like). I know you don't like mainstream music which is alot of what kpop is becoming, but do you have any thoughts on Wonder Girls, BoA, Se7en, Utada Hikaru (sp. ?)'s attempt to break into the US market? Actors? Lee Byung Hun (GI Joe), Rain (Ninjas Assasin, Speed Racer), Jay Chou (Green Hornet) ?

And, Far East Movement, an Asian-American group who did gain some popularity?

  • I've watched a continuos 6hrs of your videos.

I agree alot with what you said. I find Ken Jeong hilarious, but sometimes I do feel a bit ashamed. It's similar to when people of your own community further the stereotypes and then other ethinicities (or ethnicitys ?) take it as is, as they represent the the entire community. Makes it harder to prove otherwise.

Entirely looking forward to whatever you come out with :).

  • I see what you mean and keep going for your dream I believe u can do it and will. :) and ill be looking forward to seeing all the short films and videos u do :) and love the hair ;) lol it looks nice. Will always have my support :)

  • i totally get you

    oh my god I'm Mexican

and stupid people just make a fool out of us

we are not dum or lazy like many will say...

i wish they will stop with the NEGATiVE stereotipes !!

  • i like how you really know what you are doing ,, for the right reason

i love how you know what are you taling about :)

  • HOLY F- I love that hairstyle on you! You look sexy! Ok I didn't even watch the video... I feel superficial... *finish watching* AH *giggles and squeals like a fan girl* lol alright, I'm gonna be serious now. Can you act? But I totally get what you're saying. I noticed the lack of Asain (especially men) in movies, unless it's a wimpy smart nerd. It's the same with black people. The girl is ghetto and a whore and the guy is a drug dealer!

I want to make movies and basically break- [[Hold on]]

  • @Mil714 stereotypes. And I want to cast a lot of minorities in positive, uplifting roles. And not just the already famous actors, like Halle Berry and people like that (I honestly can't think of an Asian *male* actor). But I totally get what your saying and I just grown mega respect for you because of this video.

You're like the coolest dude I know.

P.s. I'm not really a creepy stalker... just have a weird since of humor ;)

  • all i want to see tenchi is to stay focused and try not to be discouraged. i have faith that u can end up doing some really positive things in the world so stay strong! <3

  • wtf is wrong with harold?? haha. He ends up with a WHITE girl and dukes a bunch of white guys in harold and kumar. But I understand what you mean about the decline since Bruce Lee. People in hollywood do seem racist. But I can see the trend changing, if you saw ninja assassin with bi rain which was fairly mainstream, along with all the general k-pop getting more popular. I think things are changing, and hopefully you can contribute to that change. I look forward to seeing you in theaters!

  • honestly speaking, a clever-sounding guy like yourself should know better but to venture into Hollywood. I understand you want to break the stereotype, but Hollywood doesn't have a lot of room for 'sane' people. money and fame are very appealing... for a reason.

not hating, please don't get me wrong.

  • Stay strong , i support u with strength from Norway

  • Finally someone is thinking outside the box. Bruce Lee was indeed murdered. Everyone think about it! Connect the dots!

  • You need to make some vlogs where you carry your camera around with you. They're fun to watch and I bet you'd get a bunch of new viewers. :))

  • Lee was murdered? I've heard he died of a brain swelling caused by an allergic reaction to the pain killer he got from his friend Ting.

  • Your hair is beautiful. I love it.

  • I basically stopped watching european/american/australian/etc movies and tv shows 'cuz they don't have asian actors. if they do they're only minor guest roles. That lead me to just watch asian (taiwanese/japanese/korean) dramas and movies and damn i gotta admit they acts shit loads better than non-asian. So in my opinion i'd like to see more asian to get main roles.

  • I totally agree with you, and I really wish that we could see the more dashing side of asian males in the media, along with more AMBW parings.

I mean lets see Daniel Henny in more an american films, or Dennis Oh you know? And as far as parings go the only truly romantic AMBW pairing I saw in the media prior to flash forward was Brandy and Paolo Montalbán in Cinderella, it was so beautiful and I wish they included parings like that more.

  • oppa tenchi i finally remembered who you look like... You look like xian lim..

  • Im sorry but you look just like the korean actor Seo Ji-seok lol

  • I love your hair Tenchijk, You look great

  • So Im like quarter Asian but look Asian haha & im sitting on couch with my black frnd watching wat ever on tv & the lead is a white chick, I get tired of seeing nothing but white ppl cuz they dont look like me at all and shes like amen high five & the ppl of other races have idiot roles.

I can see where ur coming frm but @ same time Hollywood is instillin in ppl whiter is better white is hero ur ethnicity isnt good enough so I like watching asian channels cuz I cam relate

  • you will always have my support and i can not wait XD i understand what you are saying about the Bruce Lee thing. funny when you was talking about it it reminded me of Malcolm X. They both had too much power. but good luck and God bless you Tenchi

  • hi tenchi, well i agree bruce lee was the man but jackie and jet li are good at what they do this is ur opinion cutie. far as the murder part.i heard it was a curse or something.hey stop it with the hair thing hahah its too damn cute lol

cant wait for your short films .i will really tell you what i think lol;)btw ur first project was great.im loving the song choice.later tenchi muah

  • @Tenchijk I have to disagree with you. Art often imitates life and as minorities and as painful as it is, we have to accept that the story is often told from the viewpoint of the storyteller. Yet there is hope because life also imitates art. We simply need to tell our story - as you have been doing. In the end the value of a story is not about race and other differences, but it is how much people can relate to it on a personal level. Keep strong.

  • Lol. Kato <3

    I support you Tenchijk!

  • OMFG your sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo hot ^__^ lol

  • I always felt as if alot more minorities should be behind the making of the movies as in producers, screenwriters and film makers in general. The way that the media is won't change till people decide to change it. So do your thing dont bend for anyone and change will come to the industry. There is no other choice really things must change since more people are realizing everything you said about minorities in movies. Do you Tenchi

  • Can someone please tell me why some are commenting on their ethnicity? Who cares! Wrong is wrong! Hollywood created a brain washing machine (media) that's telling us all lies and most of us believe them. Focus people! Focus! You can't cover righteousness with lies minorities are treated in the media and entertainment with negativity and it looks like it wont change.

  • I agree with you, after Bruce Lee no one matches up. I just hope that you don't forget about us once you become a big time producer and I believe that when the time comes you will have the strength to say no and wait for a better offer. We will always support you and give you constructive criticism. Coz there's nothing worst than a crappy movie or drama. LOL! Anyways, good luck and hope to hear from you soon!

  • Is it awkward for me to say that I think you're absolutely gorgeous? :]

  • Of course we support youuuu. Honestly dont see how that would change unless you suddenly go crazy O.o and awhh. I like Jet Li T^T

  • Hey tenchi, i was trying to send you a message but it would not let me because I guess you have no accepted me as a friend, but its ok...i was going to ask the next time you make a video, can you discussed "Should celebrities be role models for children" or "How much of a influence the media really has on kids" if you have not did a video like this already...I would really love to hear your response. Thank you

  • Most movie roles are written as race neutral; there was an article about this on colorlines. com, pertaining to The Last Airbender. Hm. We'll see a few years from now.

  • Tenchi how did you feel about the Ninja Assassin film? I felt that they should've kept Rain as a Korean actor. Not a Korean actor/singer playing a Japanese character. It was wrong to do in my book. But I still felt that Rain was a good actor.

  • Tenchi, you know I'll always support you. I love hearing your opinions, even if I don't agree with some of them (not saying I don't agree with the ones presented in this video). Every time I hear those Chuck Norris jokes, I'm always like, "Yo what about Bruce Lee, mudafucka? Now HE'S the shit, dead or alive" Keep doing what you're doing, Tenchi. Let yourself be heard.

  • i got your back tech always

  • TTenchijk I really want to talk with you, and I can't fill this comment, it just deleted and say the comment is to long. You can take me as some if yours fan - but how can I contact you? ^_^'

  • @myownworld94 Email, or youtube :)

  • i think your conspiracy theories about a constant racial war in america are pretty crazy.

  • but i dont think this is just an asian thing, i think its a minority thing in general...and yes, Bruce Lee was taken away wayyy too soon and it is sad that even his own son did not live too long either...i agree with Tenchi. i think there is a conspiracy going on in that situation cuz it is too much of a coincidence.

  • i dont think Tenchi was dissing Jackie Chan, Jet Li etc..he was saying compared to Bruce Lee, they are not on that lvl of calibur..it is sad but its the truth..i would say Jet Li is closest to what Bruce Lee was compared to other Asian actors but he aint there..but I still love both actors but me growing up watching and owning every Bruce Lee movie...hes gonna to be very hard to replace..but Jet Li has had some bad ass movies like The One, Kiss of the Dragon, Once Upon a Time in China etc...

  • @TheBabyPhatP thank you for clearing that up~ Im not dissing jackie or jet li on their martial art skills and what they have accomplished. But if they are the best we have, then there lies a problem. Bruce was a good "actor" . Jackie/jet li are good martial artists.

  • @TheBabyPhatP Donnie Yen is the closest to the level of calibur. But Hollywood made him a nothing when he tried to make it in the us (Blade 2). And he says F you Hollywood I'm not going to take more sht anymore. Since then he only made chinese action movies. It's the same with music artists. They all go to asia and they alot made it there more than in the us.

  • @emja3 u see....i almost forgot about Donnie but he didnt really make a strong enough impact in America to be really be recognized..im sure he is huge in Asia just like many Asian actors/musicians..the only movies I honestly seen of his were foreign and that was it...Jet Li is pretty popular here in America although he always play kick ass roles all the time...(shrug)...i guess u gotta start somewhere..but Rain (Bi) is makin an impact on the U.S slowly but surely...we just got to be patient

  • About the dancers if it wasn't for ABDC then asian dancers wouldnt be recognized that much. Seems like they never knew asian dancers would be number 1

  • I agree a little with you on those asian actors that you metioned who took those bad roles, but the same could be said about the black actors during the 1920s and through, they took up roles playing maids and the mammy roles and the black communtiy got on them but if they hadn't taken those roles, are race would have never been in movies and no one would be able to see our talent, it takes time for the world to get over the whole racial thing and see that race doesn't play in talent

  • I see whatcha saying. the same thing happened with black people. Comedians and actors, directors have been making an as out of my race for over fifty years. It is up to the minorities in power (celebrities) to take a stand and represent their race in a respectful way so the world can see that minorities are worthy of having legitimate respectful lead roles in television

  • I think a lot of it has to do with perspective. Bruce Lee is awesome, but Jackie Chan, Jet Li and Chow Yun-fat are really good in their own right. Plus they are GIANT stars in Asia, especially Jackie Chan. Frankly Hollywood and the U.S. mainstream/Western market may not even be their focus. They may not be the legend Bruce Lee (I mean who can be?), but their body of work has its own merit and influenced U.S entertainment. ie. every fight scene choreographed after Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

  • You make a good point, most asian actors used now aren't as good as Bruce Lee. Also, I know it costs alot of money, but wouldn't that make you want to put your all into the movie so it will be great, even if people don't like the actor. They could still enjoy the storyline. Maybe that's just me though, haha. Anyways, keep working hard and remember we're cheering on! ^_^
